He did seem genuine when saying he just wanted to make people laugh and that he actually loves the GameCube and was doing a bit. I think he did want to make funny content for people to laugh at but not take too seriously but then they started laughing in a BAD way and mocking him and that just sucked the fun out of it. I don’t think he was necessarily trying to be exactly what AVGN was, more something adjacent and inspired by him. He doesn’t seem to be trying to actually review stuff like AVGN did, more like sketches using review presentation. Honestly, if it was a bit better executed, that sort of thing could do quite well on today’s KZbin (in fact it does do quite well when executed right). I think he was largely a memester. I don’t know him, though, so that’s just my takeaway from very limited information. I can’t imagine being such a target of internet mockery like that, especially with my autism and social and general anxiety and my past with regular bullying. So I can’t really blame him for not really being interested in doing any more KZbin.

I always feel bad for lol cows, Unless they do something super sketchy and then I suddenly have no sympathy for them. But for the ones who just didn't have whatever it is that allows people to become successful online and just get branded for their poor social skills or their looks I just always feel bad for them. making fun of people especially in a group relentlessly just because internet lets you be anonymous is still fucked.
