You don’t have to use the Wiimote to do all of these things… you just press A to fish, chop trees, etc. you also don’t have to use it for making patterns. You can use A and the dpad

@@justViTV Me too, but I definitely think it doesn't hurt if anything. The difficult part is making sure the audio levels are balanced, but I'd ease on the side of making it quieter than louder because it's easy to tell what you're saying since you're the one who recorded it but it can be harder for someone else, so definitely make sure your voice is the most clear thing you hear!

I appreciate that you didn't just point out everything wild world and city folk have in common and point out the few new things and be like "what's the point?" despite it being on a completely different console. or point at animal tracks, which admittedly were not implemented as well as it could have been, or would be in new leaf with a high regen rate like I generally see people talk about. As far as features go, it's an objective upgrade. Personally, I didn't like Wild World because I would struggle to play most games on portable consoles for any amount of time (to this day, not sure why this is, but I never play my switch in handheld mode) and I didn't like how I'd have to ask one of my siblings if I could have the game, take the game out of their ds, and then get on. So when we got city folk, I literally never got on wild world again, and honestly, I don't think either of my siblings did either. I could personally never go back to city folk because the controls and the lack of quality of life, but personally I think that applies to Wild World too. when wii remotes and styluses were the standard, it just felt normal, and I feel like that's something people forget. In the context of the time the games came out, their controls were fine. But we're in the modern day and the normal today is either using a mouse, or a control stick to navigate ui. The inventory in New Horizons didn't get complaints, despite it objectively taking longer to rearrange your inventory than the previous 3 games, and it's just because there wasn't a gimmick attached.

when I was 5, the ACWW came out and my mum gifted it to me. I played every release religiously. City Folk was my favourite and always will be- it has a charm that the other games didn’t quite capture. I was so thrilled for ACNH, but I lowkey hate it. Shallow characters aside, the game is far too stressful. What I like about AC is that you essentially don’t have to think. It’s a chill game, but NH feels like a chore because you have far, far too much choice over everything. It leaves you in a constant grind because you need to decide where new houses go and there isn’t anything you can do in the game aside redo your island and decorate, but even that is stressful because there’s just too much.

Wild World will always be a favorite of mine PURELY because of how deeply i loved it as a child. Hundreds of hours of play time in Wild World alone, I will always adore it. New Leaf is right on the same level for me, played hundreds if not probably a thousand hours of New Leaf as a teen!

The wii game is one of the best games. I played it since 2009 until 2023/24. Longer than any other AC game! I love to interact with villagers, go to the town by bus, decorate my house in the game and go to K. K. every saturday. While other games have great mechanics, Animal Crossing Let's Go To The City is a game that I love to go back to - even after my house is done. Even after all paths are made. The worst Animal ist game is New Horizons. For sure!

Another thing that made creating clothes designs difficult was the character's body when wearing it, because of their shape most of your detailed designs would look all weird and stretched out. Nowadays I'd find it funny, back then I took it way too seriously..

To feel restricted to specific paths in the hopes of keeping my town pretty feels... well, incredibly restrictive. So no, it's no "skill issue". I believe most people could create the paths they desired if they so wanted - it's just that that doesn't result in particularly compelling gameplay. If methodically solely going through the motions every single day without straying away from specific paths too much is compelling to you personally, good for you I guess. i started playing animal crossing on gamecube & i own all of the mainline games, city folk is up there alongside the gamecube version as being my favorites. i can see why a newer animal crossing fan that only started playing during new leaf or new horizons wouldn't enjoy city folk as much but they also wouldn't enjoy any of the old ones as much for that matter too. i don't understand how city folk could ever be considered the worst for anything other than the fact that it's on the wii. wild world is objectively more dull in comparison, that game doesn't even have halloween or christmas events & you don't get shit after paying off your debt 😂

Nah it is the second best only new leaf is better and actually yes it is better then wild world wtf like lets go to the city is wild world but better. 60fps better resolution bigger screen better sound. You can swap between tools by pressing right or left. 1. Everyone has their own house of course it is smaller but I don’t care I just did make 3 accounts and now I have space for almost every furniture set 😂 2. The music in the city is beautiful and I relay love the place 3. Autumn or the session in generell are in my opinion in let’s go to the city (city folk) the best. Every week something change even in October it is amazing 4. New shops because of the city 5. It did age better then wild world 6. More fish and insects to collect 7. The biggest one for me: Holidays not just the old ones even new ones like Easter. 8. You can downgrade the shop and yes I do like it because when you already have all the furniture you want then better opening hours are just better 9. You can use a nunchuck and I think the motion controls are not that bad it is actually great for the menu to swap some items I never did found it annoying 10. Small improvements like you can visit Reseti you can get a bridge and some other buldings when you spend money to the town fund. Etc. there is so much more content then wild world but you will only know it if you are playing for a long time! Downsides of city folk; Villager dialog: it is worse then in wild world but still not that bad compared to the newer games and it is still funny. 2. Grass decoration: it can be annoying but in wild world 70% of the ground is without grass anyway and if you have a hacked Wii you can just restore the grass and it is not a problem at least today 3. It is similar to wild world (yes but in my opinion today it doesn’t matter it is overall just the better game) Overall everyone who says wild world is the best is mostly nostalgia blind. I still do like it but it is ugly bad frame rate bad sound ok ok I know it is because of the ds but when the same game can be in higher resolution and a version with a lower one that even has less content I still would play the one with the best tee resolution and more content anyways the controls in wild world are in my opinion worse then in city folk at least if you use a nuncunk. Overall: the sound track is even more beautiful with better audio quality and with smooth 60 fps. It is objectively much better then wild world in almost every point. I still think the dialog in city folk is still good.
