They buy it for the name. I went into the local Brewdog bar in Hull a few months ago. I'm only 33 but I felt really old. More like a blooming youth club. I used to really like Brewdog beers, but I prefer Delerium or Sour beers these days. Brew York and Vault City tend to be really good

Worked in an office next door to the Manchester bar around 8 years ago. Used to call in every Friday for a burger and a couple of pints of punk. Really loved it. Not drank brew dog for a few years now. It's awful.

I have to admit I find these reviews more entertaining than German beer reviews. With German beers you know it's going to be at least an 8/10 just because they're such consistently well made, quality beers. With vaguely beer-like artificially flavored liquids it's much more exciting :)

I think they're at the point now where they are so popular, they can stick any old crap in a nice flash looking can, give it a crazy name and just cash in as it will more than likely sell to people that don't really know what it is they are wanting but are swayed by the Brewdog name and a nice looking can. You're right, it's not beer, and Brewdog are not alone in pulling crap like this, it's quite widespread now. I tend to stick to the stuff I know I like now, I'm much less likely to be adventurous with my beer shopping these days as I know it'll very VERY likely be utter shit.

I'll always have a soft spot for Brewdog as they were my entry point into the world of craft beer. I'll still occasionally buy Hazy Jane but let's face it they're a macro rather than micro brewery these days and these flavoured beers are aimed at a different audience now. If you're after decent supermarket beers then opt for Vocations core range, Norther Monk and the decent Polly's beers for the same price. This shit should be priced alongside wank like Desperado. 🙄🤣

years ago, I was in the B'Dog pub opposite Kelvingrove Art Gallery, I spent a fab afternoon drinking fine interesting halves of really interesting beers and eating an awesome burger, one of the best I've ever had. The staff were great, offering advice and tasters and the whole experience was so good. Then it turns out that the 'dog' in the name refers to how they treat their staff and (as you say) a never ending line of poor or nasty, but always expensive, beers started to appear and the reputation of coolness and excellence created by the great people BD abused and exploited waned and then vanished - Fk Brewdog.

The only flavoured beer I've liked was Silk Road, when it's absolutely ice cold, as soon as it goes past that temp, it tastes weird. I saw this pina colada one and instantly knew I'd hate it.

Well I agree Brewdog is falling down with quality really fast. I have a Cake Cartel - Hazelnut stout in front of me. Wow... Didn't expect so watery and cheap execution of stout. I can taste a bit of Iron as well and it's flat... Head dissipated after 15 seconds and all carbonation is gone. They say you cannot mess up a strong beer...(this one is 6%ABV) Good job Brewdog, you f'd it up...

It's a shame because they can brew some decent beer. Recently I thought Planet Pale and Jagged Edge were 2 such examples, but these seem to be in decline now. It seems that the marketing of weird flavours has taken precent over the focus of producing a decent product.

I think you should revisit Magic Rock’s Cannonball from Morrisons. It went through a dodgy spell not long ago (maybe the result of Magic Rock changing hands) but recently it’s bang on form again. Probably the best beer you can buy from a supermarket at the moment imo.

Yeah they're definitely improving.. Brewdog and Magic Rock felt like the originals, but both are miles behind now which is ridiculous with the money they have behind them. Azvex and Verdant are putting out the best beers currently.

Just got back from Tesco and I picked up the two new Northern Monk, Brewdog Black Heart and Brewdog Arcade Made. They didn't have the Pina Colada one. I'm glad they didn't now!

I think the headache comes from all the e numbers. I don't know if it's possible to make a nice pina colada IPA. I've tasted some disgusting beers from the Lidl festivals, so if this is even worse I can't imagine how bad it is. I hate the initial sweetness, followed by a really bitter aftertaste these e numbers cause.

You obviously don’t like it, and to be fair, were never going to give it a chance anyway but… you aren’t the target market for Brewdog anymore. This will appeal to younger drinkers that haven’t had the pleasure of proper ale and grown up on artificially sweetened Fanta. It’s not for our taste buds, but it’s not supposed to be.

I'm pretty sure the headache element is all the chloride and sulfate added to hoppy/hazy beers to help with the aroma and mouthfeel. I live near Deya and while the beer is good, they're notorious for the hangovers.

Looks like fruit juice not beer! Only Brew Dog beer I ever liked was the Lost Lager, and I rarely buy it as there are better alternatives. Thanks again for taking a bullet for us Simon. As for German beer lets remember that Becks used to come only from Germany but its now from Luton and still pretends to be the genuine article. It tastes like cabbage water these days and thats a terrible destruction of a great brand. Its still good in Germany but not here.

Murky yellow to orange with a creamy white head. Aroma of sweet pineapple and coconut like pina colada. General confectionery. Taste surprisingly not too sweet coconut, synthetic tropical fruit with leading pineapple. Malty backbone has some potential but it's ruined by cloying and synthetic "natural" flavourings. Overall - not good.

I had a few 4% Black Heart stout by Brewdog last night, honestly not bad for £1.75 at all. Tasted a bit like Magic Rock Dark Arts, and nearly half the price. This doesn’t sound nice but some people may like it (someone has to?!)
