I was in a poetry mood. I picked up one, gave it five stars and it became a new favourite. Picked up another, gave it five stars, and it became a new favourite. Decided to pick up The Poetry of Oscar Wilde, because I loved The Picture of Dorian Gray, and thought the writing was beautiful and so poetic, and I made the incorrect assumption that his poetry will be the same. Kicked me right out of the poetry mood, kept me out of it since and I gave it one star.

I know I'm like 4 months late to the party, but my worst read of 2020 was definitely "Where the Red Fern Grows" by Wilson Rawls. I had to read it for school, so I didn't have high expectations going into it, but I was hoping it would at least be average. My big issue with it is that you knew the ending from the start, so any plot twists along the way were extremely anticlimatic, which for me at least, made it a very unenjoyable read.

I only DNFed one book this year and it was a goodreads winner called The Five. I just went into it with way different expectations for what it was going to be about, so that's kind of on me, but also the writing did not engage me enough to finish it. But I hated the romance and aside from the action scenes, I felt the book was super boring. The last 50 Pages or so had a huge twist that made me consider picking the next book up, but I’ve seen a lot of people say it’s not as good as the first book and after I did not like the first book at all, I think I’ll steer clear of the rest of this series.
