RIGHTTTT? The more cliched trope with someone of his character is with him being a coach and an advocate of the more unique and "disadvantaged" athletes, like him and Hinata. But they did the opposite with him. Great character dynamic.

In a way he is protecting himself. He was denied greatness because he was short, so he is now holding on to the idea that short players cant be good. If it is universal fact in world then he cant do anything about it and he can accept it. But now there is short player who is showing that they can be great and they can win. That would make coach actually have to face his regrets of his own career.

Noya has the big moment this episode but I feel that narrative-wise this is a more Tsuki-focused episode...from the beginning when he returns to the game with a plan and earns them those points to the end with the flashback of his time with Kuroo in training camp so to me he's the MVP of this one.

Next episode has the most beautiful scene of this show. (Spoiler below) . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . The last spike that won the match is by far the most beautiful of all seasons. If you know the minimum about animation, you know how hard rotating camera scenes are hard to draw. Specially as smooth as they did. You have every player in the scene, then it slowly zooms in on Hinata, as the background also changes with the rotation. It’s a whole high level of animation. Not just that, but the bgm also plays a massive role to make this scene even more epic. And the flock of crows knocking down the eagle *chef’s kiss* masterpiece from start to end.
