Yes! Noya called ryu's sister as "nee-san". That reflects noya's closeness to ryu's family. I'm not japanese but I'm a fellow asian, and we call our close friend's older family as "big brother"/ "big sister". We even call our friend's parents as "aunty" and "uncle". Having a dedicated video to Haikyuu after you have watched all the available content would be absolutely amazing! 🧡 You could have a Q&A part too as there’s soo much to discuss with this series. Also clarification ‘writers’ is actually just one individual. The absolute master Furudate created it, writes it ,draws it. In interviews they are incredibly humble and often talk about how much of it they just “winged it”. WINGED. IT. The amount of full circle moments, the character writing for this massive and awesome cast, all of the perfectly woven themes spanning hundreds of chapters and they are just like “oh yeah that thing? Thought of it a couple of hours before deadline that week” 🤯🤯🤯

The first 6 episodes of season 4 part 2 were my least favorite part of Haikyuu tbh. If they were as good as the end of that season it would be my favorite season by far. But I agree. THAT moment its a highlight of the series

It's a thing in Japanese culture to call people you're close to with a decent age gap by nii-/nee-san. Funfact: There have actually been multiple stage plays for Haikyuu in Japan. Sadly there is no way to legally watch them with subtitles or anything, but you can definitely google how their actors looked and stuff, it was really good casting! And the few clips I've watched actually seemed very entertaining (it's not unusal even for shonen/fantasy anime to get stage plays, like demon slayer also got a few)
