In defense of Mike, many of the WBF athletes including Mike utilized the nutrition program of Dr Mario Dipasquale whom the WBF hired to help the competitors. It worked somewhat with some of the athletes, but failed miserably with others such as Mike.

Lou ferrigno was one of my favorite bodybuilders, but I always felt that he had slightly undersized arms for his size. He had the chest, back, and super traps but not the arms for his size. His legs could have been slightly bigger too. In my opinion. 😮

Actually, you're wrong about what you said that nobody ends their career in peak condition. In the 80s and early 90s, some bodybuilders retired in their primes. Lee Labrada's lash show was an AC 5th place where he was in great condition, which is not shabby at all and Lee Haney's last show was when he won his 8th Olympia, big, full, round and shredded.
