Had no idea the power glove stemmed from a much more advanced product being slimmed WAY down, thought it had actually started from Nintendo themselves and didn't even know it was primarily a Mattel thing... guess I just saw it as so heavily advertized in the Nintendo movie I thought it was THEIR thing! Consider me educated. Though now I'm curious- what happened to the ~fancy~ glove? Is that company still around?

This comes out within hours of everyone talking about how terrible the controls for Golden Eye for Nintendo Switch comes out... Almost like search engine damage control 🫠😆

​@@thequestgamer From what I hear it's essentially the same controls as itbused to be on the N64, but devs invented dual stick shooter-controls since then and now everyone who goes back to the old style HAAAAAATES it. There is apparently a way to make the game control like a dual stick shooter that fixes all the issues, but it's a lot of effort and futzing around in menus, so probably more effort than most are willing to expend.
