I am an Uber driver that is on Disney property every day. Security at most of the Disney resorts are now asking what is your room number or your name for a restaurant reservation in order to get into the resort. I have had guests in my car turned away by resort entrance security.
@TheSharna238 ай бұрын
That’s been my experience as a guest too. In order to resort hop, the best way is using Disney transportation (monorail, bus, skyliner, boat). Anyone arriving by car will need reservations

It is Florida state law to provide FREE water so they cannot charge you for the cup like some states. But of course it is only available where they have a soda fountain machine. I always recommend going to a quick service with your water bottle as you can get some ice cold water!

You don’t have to use electrolyte powders but it’s wise to drink orange juice or eat a banana or raisins. Eat some real food not all junk and sugary stuff which makes dehydration worse. Just guzzling plain free water isn’t going to replenish what you are losing from sweating so much when it’s brutally hot. You’ll go to the restroom more but it won’t replenish lost potassium, salt and magnesium.
@mishmosh739 ай бұрын
Although those are amazing foods, processing those foods takes more energy and water from the body. A more advantageous and healthy approach that meets the actual goal of rehydration would be to add a PINCH sea (non-iodized) salt, lemon juice, or coconut water to your water to replenish the mineral supply that is supposed to be in our water (but isn't due to poor soil quality). These are natural electrolytes, do not contain processed sugar, and actually refresh the palette while balancing pH and cortisol levels.

Also don’t drink just sugary drinks. I found that out on my last trip. Felt so I’ll by day 8 with all the high fructose corn syrup in drinks.

Getting the water parks & more option is a FANTASTIC ROI if you go more than once! We never do consecutive park days so on those in-between days, we hit up the water parks. Still in the Disney bubble, but relaxing and no rush. Highly recommend!!!!

My boyfriend is not a big Disney fan - but he loves water parks. We got the military salute Park Hopper Plus on our last trip - and he spent 2 days out of 5 at Blizzard Beach. The previous trip we also got Park Hopper Plus - but probably should have just bought one day at Typhoon Lagoon.

people either never experienced or have forgotten what paying the premium for a Disney World vacation used to be.. The television commercials reflect what it actually used to truly be. Then you go get nickel and dimed after the initial exuberant cost only to be treated no better than the local water park. Disney has lost its way

My experience w DDP is more of an albatross ! Granted it was the old school plan, & different times. But as a dad, you focus on getting your money’s worth, which is planning around eating. Realistically, you cannot eat 5 meals/snacks a day in Florida heat. Then trying to use all the snacks for the airplane & trip home ! We have actually gave food ( wrapped snacks) to other guest as we checked out just so he used all we could !
@jeanettesmith7658 ай бұрын
I quit buying the dining plan because I just can't eat all that food! I buy Disney gift cards ahead of time at Target and use them to pay for my food and merchandise.

My kids and I also buy the refillable mug and refill it at any hotel we go to.We have never done the Disney dining plan. It’s better to use the hotel discount if it’s possible. We also purchase our ponchos at the dollar store before hand.

@@byrosiemayne fair, I think what it comes down to is there isnt one resort that doesnt have transportation issues. IMO the worst deal in Disney World is the lodging. We used to stay on property but found that we spend most of our time in the parks, so the cost of the room just wasn't worth it. So now we rent a condo 5 minutes from the parks for a fraction of the price. We save a lot on food too since we have a full kitchen.
@ronnimm64569 ай бұрын
We do the same. A great deal for families staying in the area. You go to Aldi, load up on groceries and you are 10 minutes outside the Disney bubble. It's well worth it to stay off property and be able to have some non Disney recreational time.
@lesliegallagher26829 ай бұрын
Certain club level rooms offer better views or better proximity to transportation as well, so the price of the club level room has more value. Also, in the case of Polynesian, the currently rare 2 BR suites (not the ones being built for DVC) are ONLY available as club level, so that was the room type we needed for our family of 6.

Ive got such a gripe with the TrAnSpOrTaTiOn videos. Ive stayed on the monorail line, stayed at the Epcot resort area, stayed at the skyliners resorts, and I can say without a doubt, the BEST transportation I have had was at Coronado Springs and Animal Kingdom Lodge. The friendship boats take forever. When I took the boat from MK to Hoop de Do, it took over 30 mins at a non-peak hour. The monorail takes forever. The skyliner lines at park close are insane. Yet every time I strolled up to my bus stop on my last trip, a bus was waiting for me. Never stood once. I timed my ride from walking out of Studios after Fantasmic and it was 16 mins to get to the front door of my room in Casitas.
@andthatt9 ай бұрын
honestly the skyliner is the best free ride at disney as you can just hop on and ride the whole thing and see the sites and the best resort for disney is the dolphin bc its relatively cheap
@Dreamingofmainstreet9 ай бұрын

I stay only at the All Star Resorts - in twenty plus years, I have NEVER stood around waiting for a bus for more than 15 minutes - most of the time - I walk up and walk on. I don't know why people talk smack about them! I stayed at Caribbean Beach once - NEVER AGAIN - we had to ride a bus to catch a bus - it took way too much time and it was definitely not worth the extra money.

I don’t blame Disney for taking away the cards that you could just give away to anyone but I still miss it😂

Walt didn't like the idea of tickets for rides and said 'one admission fee, all rides'. But it didn't happen till I believe after his death, when they did away with their cupon book and agreed to this model. So much for that idea. but let's not pretend Walt was a saint. He was on documents stating that the 'park will pay for this' meaning his EPCOT project which was designed to be a completely draconian city where HE controlled every aspect of peoples' lives, from the media they consumed, to the food they bought, to the jobs they worked. He was a very Marxist-friendly person.
