Hey heads up, Better Help is not a good organization to Sponsor. They are not doctors and such do not have restrictions on how they can share and sell your medical data like actual doctors are. I love the content but please do not do another sponsorship with Better Help.

Just show on camera you have no monitors except the ones on the desk, no mirrors in the room and then... turn the chair to face away from the desk. That's all you have to do, no blindfold needed. No need for a double camera setup with one showing your hands, just set up one camera on a wide angle that clearly shows you are facing a wall and not the desk with the monitors and there you go, ironclad proof. Or even easier: close your eyes. No blindfold necessary. Keep the hair away from your face so the eyes are visible on every frame of the facecam footage. You can even face the monitors. To be clear, Better Help is not good, but they got in legal heat for misusing confidential information, not retricted information. It is covered by HIPPA where applicable. Most people just misunderstand what HIPPA is. I worked in healthcare (admittedly, not a doctor, just an engineer, but I handled restricted and confidential data) When you sign up for an account, you're not signing up as a patient, you're signing up as a user, and that specifically isn't covered (we typically mark these types of accounts as confidential [better help does not, this is the data they sell], but not restricted like when a doctor makes a profile for a patient). Data around your "appointments" (depending on who you're seeing, what state you reside in, and what state they reside in [see laws like FIPA in Florida]) is confidential. It is absolutely shady practice to sell this data in aggregate (non-identifying, grouped data) and is grey, but very few companies get penalized for treating this data as less than confidential. The contents of the appointment (with licensed practitioners) are entirely covered by HIPPA. Unlicensed "help" depends on the state.

While I generally don't care what sponsors people take on, I have to admit I was more that a bit disappointed hearing the words "better help". Their service is not a supplement for meeting with an actual therapist and this has led to harm occuring.
@DisDatK99 ай бұрын
Just a note: every therapist on Better Help is now a licensed mental healthcare provider. I know that wasnt the case, but they did make that change. The main criticisms are not being able to view the actual providers information (their certifications and licenses, the dates they obtained said certifications/licenses, and treatment specialties.) As for it not being a stand-in for an in-person therapist, I wholeheartedly agree, but couple that with the use of e-visits since COVID and many people prefer not to go in office for treatment. Another concern is that users feel they arent really being focused on in their sessions. There are definitely valid concerns, and I think everyone should look into them and do their own research, but I wanted to note that its all licensed therapists now (not advocating for them, just making sure misinformation isnt being spread.)

It's just a quick motion of holding it up and flashing the light for a moment. She could be doing a trick where she turns the light off as she is holding it. Also how do we know she hasn't modified it in some way? What if she cut small holes through one layer of the fabric and then shone the light into the thick part? I said this in Karl Jobst comment section as well and I have over 2,000 hours in Monster Hunter world iceborne it was the first game I ever platinum on PS4. I'm telling you now I could never play this game blindfolded even if I had 5000 hours in this game because that takes an entirely different skill set. When I first saw the run I knew something was wrong the way she was playing wasn't right the way she was dodging and adjusting the camera was reminding me of how badly I play the game and how she knew where the monsters head was at all time the game has good audio but it's not that good and I thought it was weird she never used the locked on to center the monster's location to help her with her run.

I have a similar story. I have lose to 2.000 hours (give or take, over like 7 years) on Resident Evil 5 (mostly mercenaries mode, grinding out scores). Two years ago I boot up the old xbox 360 for my then 9 year old nephew. He selects the game, beats it several times (with me of course) and then jokingly asks me "have you ever played blindfolded?" I'm like nope and then he asked me to try it in front of him ... Guess how far I got... I couldn't even trigger the first cutscene 😂😂

I'm sure we've all thought we were so good at some game that we've attempted to do something with our eyes closed, right everyone? And if you've tried it in a 3D game you know it's impossible to point the camera accurately at anything without some kind of lock on or by not touching it etc.

not sure why people try to fake blindfolded runs. They are probably one of the hardest to fake because even people who have little knowledge of the game can usually spot points of "wtf happened there..."

Clearly she has a monitor on the floor and watches straight down beside the nose. She didnt perform a monitor check to see how many monitors were connected, nor do we have a complete vision of her room. Another very weird thing is why the monitors are not turned off. You can see through the paper sheets she put up. She might have modified the blindfold to be transparent at the eyes but not exactly where the shined the light. Seeing as she did sow the first blindfold together with something inbetween like cardboard she probably opened up the new ones and modified those too to be able to see through.

I had a friend that liked better help, it was convenient for her to do it from home and on her own time. She always liked they little like Group activities they had with different topics or Learning new coping mechanisms. The pricing was a lot, 480 a month I believe. They have in the past been sharing peoples data to ads. Like age, demographic, and sensitive mental health data. I have seen reviews about people having shit therapists and while I cannot confirm that it’s something to consider in someway as far it’s annoying to have bad therapist and it being inconvenient to find a new therapist. Overall I wouldn’t risk them with your data and if you have any form of insurance you are probably better off finding a local therapist. Depending on your insurance it could be a little as 25 to as high as I think 65 per visit. ( these numbers depend on your area.)

I have not checked into it lately but last I heard Better Help didn't even have licensed therapists. They couldn't diagnose you with anything. So it would be less then what a school counselor could give you, unless things have drastically changed.

Hold on, this biggest thing should have been 8:45. She gets disconnected and then moves her mouse to the button and clicks okay while blindfolded. Try opening notepad, drag it to the middle of your screen, close your eyes and now close it, glood luck.
@Gobi_no_inu909 ай бұрын
I don't know how much I can trust this information, but in her debunking video she shows that the mouse icon changes to a hand when over the disconnect prompt. So instead of clicking on the prompt she mash space to close it. But this still doesn't explain how she didn't just hear the disconnect sound.
@datboyvsd6089 ай бұрын
It's even better, she moves it ALMOST to the okay button out of habit but then realizes "oh shit i'm faking a blindfold run rn" stops the movement just short of the okay button and presses enter to confirm the disconnection message

yeah, as a rule, I never trust anyone who unironically refers to themselves as "queen" or any other type of higher power, also never trust anyone who refers to other people as their "flock" these are psychopath red flags, because it means they view themselves as inherently above other people. she should also be banned from twitch. while cheating in a non competitive game isn't a ToS violation, there is a competitive scene around blindfolded runs, and she cheated in that aspect. It'd be cool to see, cause it would decrease the frequency of people trying to cheat at stuff like this if it risked their account.

Not only is the blindfold folded in half now but it looks like an additional material has been added as it looks very rigid now. It was so loose before that even folded in half it wouldn't be that rigid. I bet even folded twice the flashlight shone through so she had to modify it further.

That smug look of hers in the second attempt is what sets off warning bells for me. Even without doing a challenge run, most, if not all gamers, have a dead face when facing a difficult boss, or obstacle. The fact she's smug throughout that entire second attempt is what makes me suspicious. I have put countless hours into Bloodborne, and even on bosses like Cleric Beast or Gascoigne I have a serious face because I know that one mistake can end that attempt
