I honestly think he should’ve handled this better, if your young son starts crying, the worst thing you could do is ignore the baby and then lash out at the baby for crying. Of course he’s gonna cry, babies do not like loud noises and him slamming his controller then yelling must’ve startled him. If something as little as a controller malfunctioning caused this father to outlash at his son, then this father shouldn’t be a father because it could’ve been much worse in a different situation

And then if spouse B is sensible and leaves spouse A, everybody is like "how dare they not give custody of the child to A? Why are they leaving A and breaking A's heart? Why are they home-wreckers?" (but it's even worse if they split and A ends up getting custody, yikes). The echo chambers on KZbin are just as bad as on Twitter, but they're hidden away from the sane audiences that watch Critikal etc. I once stumbled accidentally via Reddit onto the channel of a Christian conservative dude who gives people financial advice on a radio show, and sometimes he'd give life advice (tame stuff, not ultra-conservative, more trad-y than anything really). A woman had sent him a letter: her husband, who had become verbally and physically abusive to her and to their two-year-old son, had thrown her and the child out of the house. So she's been living for a few days out of her car with very little money, and she has no relatives or friends who'd help her. The host gave her good advice about contacting the authorities and getting a lawyer. But the COMMENT SECTION. HOLY SHIT THE COMMENT SECTION. If you think it's bad that the ass-gasses over at Twitter are saying that it's excusable to yell "STFU!" at a child and making it cry, you'll have a stroke from reading that comment section. Hundreds of comments from people saying "GOOD. SHE AND HER KID DESERVED IT. I BET SHE WAS A SLUT LIKE ALL WOMEN! SHE PROBABLY DIDN'T SUCK HIS DICK ENOUGH. I BET SHE FORCED HIM TO HAVE A KID, OR IT'S NOT EVEN HIS KID. TAX MONEY SHOULDN'T BE GOING TO HER. I BET SHE'S GOING TO STEAL ALL OF HIS MONEY AND PROPERTY NOW" -- and much worse, including comments that wished death upon all women (and not exactly nice things were said about the children either, because these sadists think that since children come from women, then they necessarily shouldn't be treated with any kind of respect or decency; not sure if these shits are fully aware that they were themselves children once). Very scary stuff, I'm surprised the channel didn't bother to moderate. I reported the more egregious ones (like one guy who said "I'd have cut her throat [if I was the husband]. Pete, stop giving bitches advice"), but sweet Jesus, they're so full of hate and sadism, I don't even know if there's a word that accurately describes how spiteful they are.

I’m not saying the instance in the vid isn’t abuse it definitely is and most of y’all telling me don’t have kids are incels that cannot read I mean I’m definitely not defending it and this is definitely child abuse but I don’t think yelling at your child In general is abuse only since he did it like point blank and for no reason/cuz of a game But I’m an instance where like you’re child needs to be disciplined you gotta yell at them “go to your room” or sum Edit: I can see how my lack of care for this situation caused me to shit out something I disagree with myself so let me rephrase into the way I actually meant it. I’m not defending anyone who abuses their child physically or verbally, but in an instance where my child is of age to where they start to form their persona (7 years old I believe) they need to start building discipline and in order to do that they need to know what is right and wrong. The way I would go about this may vary depending on what they’ve done but in this instance shown in the video the child had nothing to do with it and was not guilty of anything so what the father did is straight up abuse and is inexcusable. But if my child that is old enough to know better starts purposely acting in a way that is not correct I must discipline them in a way that would show them what they are doing is wrong. Obviously I cannot send them to “time out” they are 7 years old they’d wait out the 5-10 minute punishment and go back to doing the same thing, I also cannot sit them down and thoroughly explain to them what they’ve done wrong, again they’re 7 they wouldn’t grasp what I’m talking about because they don’t yet have a developed moral compass, so while there are of course other ways to go about it with my experience of having taken care of a child/children around this age being stern while NOT BEING AGRESSIVE is the best way to go about it i.e. yelling (raising voice). All around ignoring their misbehavior is THE WORST thing you could possibly do because it ends up leading to a spoiled and entitled adult/Teen. This is another edit I’m not even fucking defending the dad I stated that several times how clear can I be?

This why Twitter sucks, it's just a cesspool of people with shitty opinions like let's look at this realistically. What mindset do you have to have as a person to blame a baby..... a littoral infant baby! It's stuff like this at makes me think of half of the people that uses Twitter escaped from an insane asylum

yeah I would say that it is sorta dependent on the individual but almost always you are going to be damaged in some way or another. I would say it made me stronger in certain areas than normal people but also made many more issues than it is worth. great my fight or flight response is pretty well practice so I don't freeze in the face of danger but I also go into fight or flight at loud noises as well lol. I would also say you are right that it makes you more sensitive. I can usually tell when people are upset alot easier and can read emotions alot better as I had to read my brothers emotions to know when to run and hide.

It's a literal baby. Anybody defending this probably abuses children themselves. Edit: I am absolutely disgusted by the amount of people in this comment thread who are actually defending this and trying to say that it’s all about perspective. I really had more faith in Charlie’s fanbase than this. And the people doing it are literally exactly who he described in the video. This is unreal.

The original clip is much higher quality, and you can clearly see how terrified the baby is when it's thrown on the chair. This might not seem like a big deal but it can seriously damage a kid's mental health in many ways, sometimes even for the rest of their life.
@cybercynic72643 жыл бұрын
You're right. Yelling at someone is verbal abuse. Verbal abusing kids is child abuse. Unfortunately this type of interaction between parents and their children is normalized. But, luckily we're beginning to see it being ostracized.
