The Quiet Man isn't an FMV game. The game play sections are done in a brawler/ beat em up style. It just has video sections between the battles. The easy allies team did a play through of it on twitch that's on KZbin.

Resident Evil 7 is the most faithful RE exepencine since Veronica and REmake. RE4 was fun, but not really a Resident Evil game at all, not the other way around. RE2 Remake is what RE4 should have been in terms of gameplay. As great as RE4 was as a game, it established the action centric mentality that almost killed the franchise. It abandoned all established staples of the series for the sake of faster pace and action. That is why the series became unrecognizable by 6. And how come no one remembers Mr. X? 😖

@@duanen2337 Well to be fair RE Revelations was a decent game, and the second was actually great. It's very similar to how REmake 2 works in terms of gameplay. Fun fact, RE4 retains the "Tank" controller, but changed the camera angle. I think RE5 was the first to introduce a more mobile type of controller adding strafing to it.

Also dreamcast did not use DVDs part of what killed it particularly in Japan instead they went with a proprietary GD-Rom which had less space than a DVD but more than a CD

The Dreamcast was a GD-ROM. A 1.2GB CD basically. Which is why it got hacked pretty easily. If Sega went with a DVD drive things may have played out differently...who knows...

All these old games aren’t great anymore. They were great when I was kid in the late eighties and nineties but now I can maybe play for five minutes until I get bored because they’re so simple and repetitive. What are you talking about that NES wasn’t popular in Europe? Yes it was! I had one and so did a lot of my friends. I also had Commodore 64 and Amiga 500 was popular too but so was Nintendo consoles and Sega consoles. At least in Finland they were.

Resident Evil 4 might be a good game, but I don't even really consider it a Resident Evil game. 4, 5, and 6 went out on this weird tangent, where they were linear, too much action, and had very few puzzles. Resident Evil 7 was a return to form.

Funniest episode ever :) It's weird and funny thinking about consoles and games from 20 years ago. Imagine somehow computing technology hadn't advanced at the pace it has, and we were looking at the original Tomb Raider now as the most advanced 3-D graphics ever seen lol...it's funny how practically all technology has evolved, with older tech existing only as retro-classic mini consoles, and even then actually using modern tech inside to emulate the old software. It'll be weird 20 years from now if IGN Game Scoop looks back at its own reviews of Horizon Zero Dawn, God of War, Doom, Red Dead Redemption etc.
