This is why you shouldn't consider a character content: Imagine that every month, you could try a raffle to try and win a car. The chances are very slim, but you get the car. You look around and there are no roads for you to drive your new car. It's like an artificial world with 2 roads, and the people never add more than these already existing 2 roads that by the way are small and barely cover any distance. This is how it feels to release that many characters while having no content to use them.

Consider this, though: The only two times you can genuinely play the game are in abyss and with the fontaine legends cuz they are damage sponges 💀 (thus, the two roads I mentioned earlier) We need more end game content, otherwise, getting new characters means nothing.

the 30 gb improve many older files and made the game weight less btw, my game lost size, also they put the new graphical option on all devices not only certain video cards or devices, patches in games dont mean the weight of the patch is going to add up fully into the game size, it replaces older files too and thats for many games, in this case it did made many things more straight foward and less cluthered in the game files, another example is the patch removing assets and voicelines of events in the now to be replaced version so there it goes like 10-15 gigs, for the people wanting events to stay theyll cry if the game is 300+gigs

The game's size actually went down in the latest update, that's pretty cool, I was worried that my phone won't be able to handle the update but the update made it easier on the phone. These are the things that deserve some appreciation, because reducing 6gb of code from this caroonishly massive mobile game (30+ gb) must've taken some work and it's gonna be useful in the long run for the game

After 4 years of Genshin impact Miyoho still doesn't understand that the rather lively storylines and the main battle system was what got people hooked in the first place. Even though the new regions look awesome, the new characters are fun and the archon story lines are still banging, there is just almost NOTHING of this content available all year. Most of the stuff presented by Mihoyo is either time based events that for most part does not include fighting with your owns teams and the character quests are nothing but really boring wall of texts without much input of essence. The background lore of the game is so full, the world is beautiful and there is so much potential for good and challenging fights but Mihoyo doesn't let the player get in touch with these elements and 99% of the time it ignores the golden storytelling rules "show don't tell". We all love the core elements of the game but hate the everday gaming it has to offer which is why we all love it but hate it. Mihoyo could do so much better, the fundament has been there all the time.

The potion event was literally a copy paste of the museum event from hsr but more boring since you don't even have to leave the potion area to get the necessary items or do any sort of quests like in the museum event. Hell even albedo, the one character most known for alchemy in the entire game other than sucrose literally didn't even show up once the entire event. I think potion event was just fine, not too long, without boring and repetative fights(that we see in any patch), but the ending of this event was really a shitty move by hoyoverse, "this alchemy place was created so people could learn how to make potions, so we just nuke this place after event time is over, since traveler already can make potions, why would we need someone else to learn". They at least could have just left something there, or said that shop will be closing soon. Only for that, I like HSR events more, since they at least stay in the game and not magically disappear. But Museum event was unnecessary long and boring, making alchemy event a bit better.

When it came to Genshin, after the second part of the Furina storyline was done I kinda moved away from the game as a whole. I'd pop in once every few weeks but nothing would hold my interest. I then decided to uninstall it, vowing to myself that I'd only reinstall when Arlecchino was coming (I need hot goth mommy). Given that I had failed the 50-50 the last time I rolled (several months ago), I knew I could get her with no issue. So now I have Arlecchino: she's great and I want her to step on me. Her story quest was alright, but the problem is that if you watched that animated video from Mihoyo you basically knew how it was all going down. There weren't any plot twists since even if you were barely paying attention during dialogue you could figure out the entire thing halfway through the quest (assuming you watched the video). Given who Arlecchino is and all, I was hoping for the quest to be rather dark and depressing. The ending to the quest was nice and bittersweet, so overall MAYBE a 6/10. If there hadn't been so many spoilers beforehand PLUS making having it be a darker storyline, then perhaps it would warrant a slightly higher score. Also, why did we barely get to interact with her during HER story quest? I don't bloody care about the rest of the House of Whatever They Were Called. What is there to do now? Well, at least having Arlecchino gives me a goal of levelling and ascending her to the max, and then maybe farming for the talent items, so that could take up a few days given that I have to wait for the damn talent book dungeons to open... As for the rest of the quests, on one hand because I haven't been actively going through them, I've got a shit ton of world and story quests just sitting there waiting to be finished and the fact that there is almost always so much dialogue makes me hesitate to go through them. On the other hand, if and when I get through them, at least I've got some primogems and whatnot waiting for me so that's one thing I guess... My main gripe(s) with the game are the artifact farming and the story/dialogues. The stories can be interesting, but the fact that the dialogue is sooooo bloated and annoying at times just makes me sit there like -_- while spamming "next". The interactions are all so "Mickey Mouse" as the video puts it i.e. written for kids (at least in my opinion). Paimon talks on our behalf 90% of the time, so whenever the MC actually speaks it just feels bizarre. Sure in HSR we don't hear the MC's voice THAT often, but at least there is no one speaking on our behalf for the most part during dialogue AND you can fuck around with the dialogue choices and irritate everyone around you. At least the hentai of the game is good...

@@meiilu7799 legit sparkle was hyped in videos and posts but when she dropped there was no new content lmao it was dry for like 15 days, acheron patch was done in one day 100% and events are a 30 min thing too, the community is seriously coping with hsr being super long and having lots of content when in rerality patches are smaller, 2.1 is literally the equivalent of a genshin main story patch and has the lenght of a filler patch, is smaller than 4.6 and it feels, i been farming for ages now waiting for the next content drop because 2.1 was very small.

Actually surprised you mention HSR is more dry than genshin right now, especially considering the fact all these content creators seem to praise HSR into the heavens while constantly ripping on genshin, kinda shows that their echo chambers of followers is smaller than you think or else their cries would of had more effect. The alchemy event was fun, actually. It was a fun little management sim with a cute little puzzle mechanic for the potion brewing. The only downside for it was that you could complete it reasonably quickly and then although you could continue to play it for the rest of the patch, there wasn't really a point. But that's the same as the Belobog museum. The game is still there to be played but there's no point. Also genshin haters are wild, man. "NOOOO I WANT TO TALK TO THE PLAYABLE CHARACTERS, NOT THE NPCS!!" "NOOOOO THE PLAYABLE CHARACTERS ARE RANDOM AND BORING I WANT THEM GONE!!!" Also how did anyone fail the special requests? Do you have a reading defect? The game highlighted the potions that the character wanted, and it was always pretty flexible. Also "If anything it should be a feature in your teapot" IT IS. IF YOU PLAYED THE EVENT. Good lord. It's like there's this whole community now that's sprung up that just repeats what Tectone wants to hear so he'll watch their videos and boost them to his audience for free views. It's starting to drive me a little crazy. And the worst part is, these are the same people who will praise HSR like some master work when its events are incredibly boring and mostly consist of "UH FIGHT THESE ENEMIES YOU FIGHT ALL THE TIME ANYWAY BUT THIS TIME YOU HAVE A DIFFERENT BUFF AND/OR WIN CONDITION!!" - good lord the latest event you just pick the right buff and right trial characters and auto it to win.

For the record I was very much disappointed with the potion event and only played it for the freemos and the weapon which is an HP staff that I wanted to give to Zhongli since its the first 4 star HP staff so now we can stop using that one 3 star staff, but honestly the event wasn't worth it, but it wasn't bad enough to where you couldn't endure for the rewards and then dip. I think the reason you didn't hear anyone complain about it is for the same reason I didn't complain publicly either, because we're used to it atp, sad but true, but atp this type of foolishness just didn't even surprise us frfr, BUT the lack of archon quests and the disappointing Knave update really DID catch ppl off guard and rightfully complaining because thats not the norm we're used to, even if a patch was BAD there were still redeeming qualities in between you could be like 'well this was bad but at least this made up for it' yet sadly thats not the case here, this is the first time I can say since starting genshin that these have been the worst patches genshin has ever had with zero redeeming qualities, the rewards were decent but who cares when the content is unengaging and uninteresting.

Yesterday a friend sent me a screenshot of her having 100%ed both new areas and Im already at 89% and 98% without really spending all to much time (2-3ish hours) and most of it were clicking through the world quest, because if Hoyo doesnt care to voice these quests, I dont care to read them. All Im gonna say is this: We just got a 10 Pull in Star Rail, we´ll get another with 2.2 and probably around 10-15 times the "Twinkletits" in an Update there, compared to Genshin. Did the whole Arlecchino quest in like an hour to unlock the boss. 4.6 did not save the dead patch. Not only was the boss itself kinda lackluster (maybe it's because bosses are normally big and fighting a character model is lame), but the quest to unlock it was boring. During the cutscene after the boss fight I was on the edge of my seat, thinking something was finally going to happen, but no. SPOILERS IF ANYBODY CARES: Some random House of the Hearth NPCs broke the rules and we spent most of the quest fearing their incoming deaths as punishment, only for Arlecchino to just wipe their memory and let them go. Lyney, Lynette, and Freminet were also supposed to be punished but Arlecchino, the mommy spider-winged scythe wielding Harbinger, spared not only the playable characters (HSR knowers) but the random NPCs nobody cares about. She also captured a bird we used to spy on her (I think idk I kinda skimmed the dialogue), but I wish she killed that at least to add a bit of darker content in this kids game. So much wasted potential on yapping. All the budget of the patch went into one cutscene and probably the new area.

Speaking of Envi, I've only heard about Envi from people and Tectone. I watched him some years ago and thought his videos were pretty okay. But a few days ago I finally decided to look a bit more into him and.... holy fuck. I read a Twitter book he wrote about him writing about his "trauma" and how tectone gave him PTSD for small shit like tectone asking Envi to stream at a different time than him. Small annoyances, which do not cause PTSD. I could not BELIEVE what I was reading. I got so pissed off, it's like a slap in the face of people who actually have real trauma. And then I saw a video of him having an insane panic attack over literally nothing and hyperventilating. I can get anxiety attacks at times and it's never like that...I'm sorry but that was a performance. Anyway, now I'm in the know about this dude. I think if content creators who play this game for hours every other day NEED filler patches to catch up to alll the new content, there's a problem. It is VERY clear that the majority of those hours of content isn't great or even good, so there's obviously an issue with the content being way too long, slow, and padded (WITHOUT A SKIP BUTTON). I don't want fillers every couple patches so I can spend several hours grinding my skull against the cold long pavement of empty dialogue just to get to the "good stuff" at the end of each road. I want the devs to spend way more time on LESS content so that content can be more condensed, high-quality, and most of all, *ENJOYABLE.* Maybe even more time can be put towards the *next patch* of content this way, and people who don't spend all of their free time on this game don't have to sit for hours and hours of repetitive and uninteresting content just to get the story payoffs they play this game for in the first place, because it's obviously not the combat. This change, along with dozens of others, desperately needs to be made so players don't feel like every other thing you do in the game is a goddamn chore. Idk about the wider fanbase and how much they enjoy it, tbh I'm sure most of them are like how I was when I first started: just surprised at the level of quality for a free game in an anime style with a cool elemental reaction system and a great story (whenever you finally get to it, that is). It sucks no matter what though because either most players feel that the game is a drag currently and hoyo just isnt listening, or the majority of players are happy with it and hoyo has no real reason to change their crappy approach. No, it was better than the past few. They have rearranged the game file, likely to add more features in future which wasn’t possible most probably because of messy source code which may have led to a bunch of bugs. Now the size of the game file also decreased. They also upgraded the compass, now griding chests is so much fun and easy although I personally don't like grinding. There's also an update in the serenity pot. The new area was also amazing. The new world quest is also really amazing. The new playable character Arlecchino is good too. Anyway, there's many more small features. So, this version wasn’t bad at all.

I played the first event and i actually liked it, it was more complex than it seems but towards the end it became boring once you got closer to maixing out. You have more than enough mora and you dont have to put any effort into making potions to get enough sales. By the end, it felt like establishing a business that was meaningless. I stopped playing after that and I dont know if ill come back for a while until something actually intrigues me. I think I'm going to stick to single player games for a while. Cyberpunk and Elden Ring DLC. I'm actually glad I'm free from playing every day it really felt like a chore.
