I absolutely love how supervillains in Gotham have their own micro economy going. One of my favorite gags from Gotham was a super villain superstore complete with dynamite, novelty bombs, bear traps, and toxins on clearance.

@@Averagemetalenjoyer115 No it's in the show Gotham. I think it's in the first two seasons. Various mobsters and criminals get their weapons and explosives from a big home depot style store. The GCPD knows about it and lets it run for a while before they shut it down.

In the Gotham Knight's game Bruce Wayne would often go to extreme measures to hide his identity as Batman by going out in public and do outrageous acts and action and one of them was pretending to be drunk at the Iceberg Lounge and would strip dance for the crowd... This is one of my new favourite stories, some people forget that Batman's all about stealth, and quite a lot of people forget that stealth is more than just hiding in shadows in all black. Knute is a great example of hiding in plain sight and the use of spies, something essential for big scale conflicts

I've heard of the Broker. It was in this GREAT Teen Titans fanfiction where the Joker, noticing that Batman had been distracted ever since Dick left for Jump City, came up with a plan to either kill Robin, or allow him to prove to Bruce that Dick would be fine without him. And it worked. Joker brought Firefly, Calender Man, the Ventriloquist, Anarky, Clayface, Mr Freeze, The Mad Hatter, Killer Croc, Deadshot, Talia al Ghul, (and a few others I can't remember) to Jump City all at the same time and set them lose with clues to where Joker was hiding with a variant of his Joker gas that could pass through solid walls set to detonate over the whole city. The whole time Joker kept telling the Titans that even if they stopped him, he still wins. And it's true, because all of this was a test for Dick that regardless of if he passed and lived, or failed and died, Bruce didn't have to worry about him anymore and could go back to focusing on the Joker. Dick passed by the skin of his teeth despite absurd injuries and the near death of most of his team. And then he still had his own victory because he was adult enough to look past his grudge against Bruce and call for his help when he needed it.

It’s an app the henchmen use to find gigs around Gotham or wherever. TL;DR, Bizarro temporarily gets smart but reckless for a little while, and basically catfishes a bunch of henches into one place with the intent of killing them but doesn’t go through with it. He’s coping with suddenly becoming smart enough to do all this stuff but it’s going away and he wants to make things like, as safe for “Red Him” (Jason) and “Red Her” (Artemis) before he reverts completely back to normal. (Don’t worry, he doesn’t revert back to ‘normal’, per se, he becomes a yoga Chad with a mohawk)

Seeing how Joker reacted to Brody knocking out Harley makes me want to see some of a kinda healthy co-dependent relationship with Harley and Joker. Joker relying on Harley to keep him semi-grounded, so he doesn't go off the deep end and just go completely batshit insane and cut off his face or somethin CrAzY like that, and Harley relying on Joker as the only person who cared about what she wanted deep down, and will always be there to protect her, break her out of jail, and keep her life more interesting than how it was when she was a doctor. Y'know, something closer to the golden/silver age more campy stories, where the stakes weren't as high, where joker toxin didn't kill you, just painful as it made you laugh uncontrollably, stuff like that.

thats kinda how i imagined the joker at first. itd be neat to see an incarnation of the joker that Starts out pretty benign like that, like adam west joker where hes mostly doing crimes that are literally jokes, but over time it becomes clear that the acid he fell into is slowly affecting his mind. harley helps him stay grounded but its clear that hes slipping more and more each day. this is also why batman wants to help the joker so bad, he knows its not his fault, he knows the joker isnt in his right mind and there is likely someone good deep down, but because of the accident his brain has been warping more and more each and every day until he becomes the horrifying criminal that hes popularized as now

The villains (most) don’t kill everyone they see. If you’re in the way sure, they’ll kill you. But most wouldn’t kill an interviewer like that. I mean you got some like Zsasz and Flamingo and White Rabbit (Alice?) who are genuine psychos and would kill on sight, but most the villains don’t do that. Even Joker doesn’t do that that much.

@@purrgiri9862 A lot of villains arent conspicuous. Penguin is always in one spot. Lots of villains have regular spots they can go to. If they dont have an existing warrant they can even go out in public. Like Joker after getting released on bail can go out in public and not be arrested. Its kinda dumb considering hes killed 10000s of people but... thats Gotham. Also some villains will gladly talk to the camera. Like Harley Quinn would do an interview no sweat.

This also was important for another reason. You see, the bad guys are stronger when they join forces, so Batman did the best thing he could - plant the seeds of mistrust. EVERYONE raged at such a person like Brody in their own way, and now that experience is going to be with them forever. Joker, Riddler, Hatter, Ivy, they were all furious at what happened. An elaborate set up undone in an instant due to what they perceived as absolute stunning incompetence. That sticks with them.

The broker actually has a partner she’s the Carpenter she basically makes sure that the Lair is somewhat up to code, so nothing is going to fall and if asked, she customize the lawyer to sue the villains style

I had an idea for another character that was somewhat similar to this. The idea is that he would be known in the supervillain community as an outstanding henchman trainer and coach, producing some of the most resourceful, sharp and competent troops any madman or woman could want. But, every time he was involved in the plans, something would ALWAYS go wrong. It was never directly his fault, but somehow a wrench always found its way into the works. One time it was the dormant volcano being used as a hideout suddenly becoming active without warning. Another time it was the military response being twice the size as all reports said it should have been. But despite knowing this, he is constantly sought out due to his skills in whipping masses of goons into a well-oiled machine. Each supervillain thinks they their plans will overcome the curse, THIS time.

My former roommate did time for a thing he didn't do. I know what that sounds like but I know the guy well. Anyway, he had quite a few prison stories. To throw out a possible explanation for how the villains come up with henchman, simply put: networking. The criminal world has a social aspect too and who know will open or close opportunities. They would joke about prison being "con college" because of all the tips and tricks you can pick up to refine your craft when you get out. I think that says a lot about rehabilitating people, or the lack of it being done. Prison is the place you go to get *better* at crime.
