Horse riding and rifling as an example of one's where women easily dominate men. They also dominate those sports, SPECIFICALLY because of their female bodies over male bodies. Women's bones weigh less, they ride horses easier. Women center of gravity is at the hips, allowing them ro rifle much better than men. So. They don't ever talk about how women sre doing well. They only talk about how men are better than women in things men will ALWAYS be better at than women. If this wasn't the case, then every military on earth would be female only...but they arnt and we all know why. Modern Women's copium is their problem alone.

The more I debated with them the more familiar I became with their argumentative tactics. At the outset they counted upon the stupidity of their opponents, but when they got so entangled that they could not find a way out they played the trick of acting as innocent simpletons. Should they fail, in spite of their tricks of logic, they acted as if they could not understand the counter arguments and bolted away to another field of discussion. They would lay down truisms and platitudes; and, if you accepted these, then they were applied to other problems and matters of an essentially different nature from the original theme. If you faced them with this point they would escape again, and you could not bring them to make any precise statement. Whenever one tried to get a firm grip on any of these apostles one’s hand grasped only jelly and slime which slipped through the fingers and combined again into a solid mass a moment afterwards. If your adversary felt forced to give in to your argument, on account of the observers present, and if you then thought that at last you had gained ground, a surprise was in store for you on the following day. The [Redditor] would be utterly oblivious to what had happened the day before, and he would start once again by repeating his former absurdities, as if nothing had happened. Should you become indignant and remind him of yesterday’s defeat, he pretended astonishment and could not remember anything, except that on the previous day he had proved that his statements were correct. Sometimes I was dumbfounded. I do not know what amazed me the more-the abundance of their verbiage or the artful way in which they dressed up their falsehoods. I gradually came to hate them.

Adam was partially right. Like athletic sports like basketball and football obviously favor men because theyre more muscular. Dextrous sports like gymnastics favor women because they're more limber. We DO have good co-ed sports like tennis, badminton, ever see the Chinese ping pong team? So we do have sports like that. The question then becomes, why aren't they more popular than they are? Simply because they're more boring. It's more exciting to watch these crazy gymnastic stunts or these teams crashing into each other. Keep sports separated so each sex can let its unique characteristics show and compete. To make a sport coed necessarily makes it more boring otherwise one sex would have a competitive advantage and ergo it would no longer be a coed sport.

I remember screaming in the car when I listened to this one back in the day. Especially when he said that sports were designed to benefit men and disadvantage women. The earliest sports were designed to showcase skills that would be useful in combat and they evolved over thousands of years. Trying to ascribe a grand conspiracy to all sports meant to suppress women was one of the crazier things I've heard someone say.

The basketball statement irritated me. Like dude, there was no dribbling yet alone dunking when basketball was first invented. The game simply evolved as (men's) physique and skillset evolved.

Was hoping Rogan would press him for an example of a basketball rule change that would make it "fairer".
@Japan_of_Green_Gables Жыл бұрын
@@shteebo I can give you an example of that, if you're genially interested. They use a size 6 basketball in the WNBA and the European equivalent rather than a size 7 ball like the NBA and its European counterpart. This is because, on average, women's palms are smaller than men's, but also takes into consideration the fact that women tend to make more long distance throws than men. I don't know how the smaller ball accommodates long-distance throws better, just that this is something kinesiologists studied. Not saying I agree or disagree with Adam Conover. Just giving an example. That change was made in the US in 1978 apparently, and in Europe in 2004... so not right away. Basketball was well established as a sport. Not sure if the size 6 ball is used in other women's basketball leagues globally.
@shteebo Жыл бұрын
@@Japan_of_Green_Gables I know the smaller balls are easier for smaller hands to handle. However, I'm not convinced that narrows the gap between male and female players. I know for a fact my range with my daughter's ball is longer than my range with my standard NBA ball.

There is a great video of female gymnasts watching males performing female gymnastics, and the women are blown away by how much better the men were at their own sport. Not taking away their hard work and dedication, but facts are facts and bioIogy is bioIogy. And the fact is that men are inherently better when it comes to athletics. To deny this fact is to deny reality, and there is a lot of that going around these days unfortunately.

@@chestermicgun that's to be expected when you have one group that practices a certain skillset their whole lives and are currently elite within that skillset compared to people trying it for the first time probably. Adam didn't want a conversation, he just wanted to speak uninterrupted for five hours straight. I'm guessing he's just so used to an echo chamber that he's that unused to differing opinions. Don't make it their problem just because you can't hold a conversation very well.
