Atleast you are honest. I'm sure people appreciate that. It's rare to find honest people nowadays.

Interesting! We just put our Alaska house on the market in anticipation of relocating in Montana. In Alaska required disclosures were extensive including: 1. Are you aware of any murder or suicide having occurred on the property within the preceding 3 years? 2. Are you aware of any human burial sites on the property? 3. Are you aware of any smoking of any kind inside the property during your ownership? 4. Are you aware of any contaminants in your water supply, to include but not limited to E-coli, nitrates, heavy metals, arsenic or other contaminants? 5. Are you aware of a waste disposal site or a gravel pit within a one-mile radius of the property?

A death in the house would not bother me. I would be more concerned about a house used for drug, prostitution or gang related activities. You would always face the possibility that a former customer or associate might show up expecting to meet the previous owner.
@julieobrien4056 Жыл бұрын
That’s what I was getting ready to comment. I know of someone who had that situation where the former owner dealt drugs, and things got so scary for this single mom that she ended up needing to move.

In a world that is sell, sell, sell here you are taking care of your buyer. Nice work! Do you sell in Belgrade/Bozeman area?

Yes we do, we have agents all over the state that we work with! Email us at Teammontanalife@gmail.com if you would like more information.

It isn't the lack of a law that is a problem. It's the lack of competency in an expensive agent who blames the lack of a law. If you are worth the 6% to 10% you charge, that basic question would have been on your checklist. We don't need more laws.
@LivinginMontana1 Жыл бұрын
You obviously don't understand laws. You can ask the question all day long, because of the law or lack of a law, the other agent doesn't have to tell you.

Death in the commission of a crime doesn’t have to be reported??? That’s insane!
@Donaldperson77 ай бұрын
Well being honest about it will get you more customers! People will look at you shady if you didn’t discuss that!

Two important comments; You are all upstanding and did the right thing, despite this horrible history on this property. Second is contact the local police beat officers and ask of the call history on a home and/or neighborhood. Local law enforcement are the security of any area they patrol and are happy to share important information. Even asking the local police dept to print out statistics of an area is really important for so many reasons. It should be a law in every state.

Common decency should disclose this, forget the law

Along with the others commenting, i would hire you because you felt morally obligated to tell your client. I am glad that it didnt spoil the deal for her or you.

Many years ago, my niece moved into a house that was haunted ; turns out that a young man had committed suicide there not long before her purchase. Shalom

That is unfortunate for the buyer. I was buying a townhouse one time and I got a call from my agent telling me they had to push back the closing to 3 o’clock in the afternoon because he just found out the feds had a hold on the property. And I’m like whaaaat!? Why? Well apparently a drug dealer had lived there and he was in jail and the feds had seized his property. I was hot!! And I let the other agent know how hot I was. If that ever happens again, I will walk away from the deal. I should’ve walked away from the deal, but I didn’t have a place to live. The only saving grace was it was a secure building and you had to have a code to get in. And he’d already been in jail for a couple of years so the word gotten out that he wasn’t living there anymore. This was years ago before meth had been invented. I wouldn’t buy a meth house.

Holy shit, how old are you? Meths existed since before WW2, so u must well over 100 years old if u were purchasing a home during the roaring 20s

Thanks for sharing. A person passing away in a house is one thing. But being killed is another. That's something I'd like to know about. I live in New York City. I hunt and camp in Montana. Would love to own land there some day.

Yeah, that is unbelievable, Will! My sister moved into a house here in Tromsø, Norway where a mother had drowned her daughter in the bath, but she knew about it, and like your client didn't have a problem with that.

Can you contact the local police about the history of the house if there was a crime or death of any kind? Depending on the location I would consider tearing it down and build a new one.

Assuming yes, will knows, anything can kill u ...he's legit and if he chooses to help u. He can't be lawyer, judge, n grief counselor..I'd pay 20% plus Hillary's honeymoon, lol, and all bridal registry if needed. Knowing Will would 45 hrs research as needed, I would not spend a 3 millions inheritance on property, n realize people can legally camp n fish in front of coolest, my front porch. Lo p😅

I know do to business yu can't love my comment, lol but learning from you and enjoying the tons of free videos on KZbin for 13$ per month, crazy freedom, forget tv. I've been thru glacier park and surrounding area thousands of times virtually, better views visually cause I lived in Honolulu, Oahu, the videos then and still are stunning. But never looked that good goods visually on a daily most of 3 years there. So I wanna see park but if you're interested I'm preparing and loving all the info cause when I show I know how far to LakeMcDonald. Peace

Can you disclose the name of the real estate agent that failed to disclose this horrible deal? I would hate to have any of my family members making any such business deal with people like that. Shameful for someone for not watching out the best interest of the buying party.
