Vision was dead at that point and her kids weren’t even real(in a sense that they were nothing but a construct of her magic). Her letting go of them wasn’t a sacrifice, it was a necessary process for her to move on. You wouldn’t tell someone who woke up from an awesome dream that they ‘sacrificed’ the awesome dream life. The only legit sacrificial action I could think of her doing was her killing Vision in Infinity War but in WV? If you look at it properly...before the last episode Hayward was doing the right thing, but for some reason the writers just switched his objectives to "kill Wanda and her kids" which obviously made us view him as a villain. I honestly hate it. A lot changes in the last episode. First when vision comes back to confront Wanda about her actions she says she knows how to fix it and she's take the hex down...10 seconds later she says "Vision, this is our home let's fight for it" 🤯😱 wtf White visions task is to neutralize Wanda (that doesn't mean kill, it's means render her harmless and basically detain her)...but when white vision is fighting with the real vision he says "Wanda Maximoff must be eliminated" wtf?!🤯😱

Wanda's line after is really what cements how terrible this exchange is. She replies. "It wont change how they feel about me" Which implies she feels she made a sacrifice for them and she never really owns up to what she did and how horrific it was. If she had said "It wont change what I did to them". It still paints her as the villain but it would imply she knows what she did was horrific and that she has to atone for that. Honestly Rambeau's character was really odd, her care for Wanda, someone shes never met and the villanizing of the general, who is quite literally just doing his job, trying to save trapped people. They had to have him literally try and kill kids at the end so people would feel...Yea this is the bad guy. But really, despite being a bit headstrong, everything he did was to try and protect people. EDIT: Some people have fairly pointed out the generals character was always an asshole and did some bad things regardless. That's fair, it had been a hot minute since I watched the series. On the one hand, they tried to make Monica's character empathetic with Wanda since both lost a loved one a long time ago but to them the lost was still fresh... but it's really hard to see the connection when she keeps painting Wanda as a misunderstood victim of the things life has thrown to her... despite Wanda's actions and way of thinking later on in the show. The general was right regarding Wanda being a potential danger and how she needed to be aprehended and punished. She NEEDED to be punished for what she did to those people, whether Monica liked it or not. But then the show painted him as some sort of antagonist by showing him using Vision's body as a weapon and succeeding on that; plus trying to kill some kids from Foster's Mansion. At the end, Wanda only "sacrificed" her family from Foster's Mansion and only managed to make Vision "come back to life"

Remember that scene where the people are glitching out and not moving, that's the first time we the audience saw this but I think it's implied that's happened to muliple people and makes sense when you think about it. While Wanda can project the hext over the entire town it's still limited to what she can imagine and that imagination isn't limitless. I'd imagine there had to be atleast some people she either didn't know about or simply ignored, thus without orders to eat, sleep or the like they'd just die eventually.

It was said by Wanda that they were all functioning properly, while they were practically frozen in episode 6 that was practically the only time we see them frozen and she was moving them around as they did have to change and move around to get to the positions they were in and etc. Also in episode 7 everyone at edge of the hex even further away from the people that vision saw frozen were moving fine and functioning.

It was his fault for causing chaos in the city. If he didn't interrupt during strange's spell everything would have been fine. Lots of people were in danger and some were killed. The only difference is that Wanda is a grown woman and Peter is a teenager who makes mistakes

He lost his mother, his best friend, his girlfriend he loved. He lost any and all allies he had who could’ve helped him. He lost his home, any financial support. He lost everything except the lives of the last people he loved - and he still chose to not reintroduce himself to them for the time being, due to loving them so much he was too scared to endanger them again. He took responsibility for his mistakes and paid the price. That, is a hero. It breaks my heart every single time, but he is a hero. Wanda is not a hero. I truly hope they don’t try to oversell the Darkhold’s corruption as the reason for her actions. She was already doing this before she got it. Literally if she had said “it won’t change what I did” and she had accepted legit consequences for her actions at the end of this show, I’d applaud it.

@@gluedglued1252 even then, thats not really too comparable id say. Peter was not told the consequences and didn't know how severe the spell was. He probably should have known not to interrupt a literal magic spell, but Strange did nothing to tell him the dangers of doing so, and Peter really didn't have any way of knowing what would happen and likely didn't even think his talking would be a problem. If my mmeory serves correctly, Wanda on the other hand willingly enslaved an entire town and threatened to kill anyone who interfered or tried to rescue them. Peter's mistake was an actual slip up that could have been avoided had Strange actually sat him down and explained things to him (hell, he didn't even tell Peter what the spell would do fully until after he started it, since Peter didnt know that literally everyone would forget him) But Wanda willingly choose to do the things she did, making ot a bit more than a simple mistake I'd say.

Like literally the show was SO GOOD at making Wanda complex in her villainy. We understood why she did what she did but Vision made it clear that it still wasn't okay. As much as I loved the song "Agitha all along" it derails EVERYTHING in the show had going. Complex emotions: NOPE! it was Agitha. Wanda realizes she a villain: NOPE! it was Agitha. Then big Marvel cgi battle so we clearly know whose "good" and whose "bad". I feel like someone stepped in and said "This is too deep and complicated, change the last half to something digestible by children"

Am I the only one who interpreted Agatha All Along differently? Now I'm not saying that this line isn't absolutely garbage; it is, but I don't think the song was meant to paint away from Wanda being the villain. It was just characterizing that Agatha was the one who caused Wanda's fake world to gave haywire. The antics were such as Agnes' weird break in acting or the talent show going wrong. The lyrics is literally saying, "Who's been messing up everything" as in with Wanda's reality. Agatha was trying to make Wanda break to expose her secrets for power. It's the reason why Agatha was focused on making Vision skeptical into leaving the Hex. I think the show's finale in exception to that one line really did portray Wanda as a villain and I sincerely believe Agatha's big showstopper did nothing to change that.

Marvels writting overall is horrible... In all the movies, every seriously emotional moments are always closely followed by a bad joke. This line does deserve the title you've given. What the hell has she sacrificed? Her fake family are nothing but contructs of her ability and therefore can't be something that she sacrifices. She can just go somewhere else where there are no people around and bring them back.

I'd say the show was trying to depict her as a morally grey character and a way too powerful one for her incoming appearance in MoM (especially with that BS lore about how she's a prophezised being more powerful than the Sorcerer Supreme)... but when they realized they made her an obvious villain, they shoehorned all sorts of nonsense to make her more sympathetic and "likeable"... which only resulted in people being blue balled for Quicksilver, Monica being an insufferable Bee-atch and Agatha and the general becoming antagonists for the show "for the lulz"
