After putting over 100 hours in (ive took my time with this one completing every side mission & fighting every enemy i come into contact with) I can honestly say this game is well worth the price & lives up to the hype, its everything one would expect, a bigger more beefed up Mario & Luigi game with interesting new characters & fun new baddies, the story itself is off the wall with weirdness, going into this game one should expect the unexpected story wise, its definitely got one of the more darker storylines (especially midway & towards the end of the game) that hasn't been seen in a mario rpg game since Partners In Time or Legend of the Seven Stars. I'm rating this one a 9 out of 10, i would even go as far as saying its the best in the series, the only drawback is due to the ageing hardware, Brothership has very slow loading times, & of course the changes made to Luigi's controls. Over all with its solid gameplay & charming characters i highly recommend Brothership to any fan of the series...

Explain how a 4 year old could play this game and understand what to do when they can't read the dialogue? All the apologists say this game is for very young kids but I think most 7 or 8 year olds would bore of this game with all the text needed and slow action. Mario Wonder was a game for 4 year olds this is a game for adults but created poorly so people just say its for kids but no kids are playing it. Every review is a 30+ year old playing it and not talking about how much fun their 5 or 6 year old kid is having. People did talk about that with Mario Wonder

i am SO GLAD you mentioned that little kids wanna enjoy these games too. I was 4 when Bowsers inside story came out 💀 and i was 7 when i played it and it became my favorite handheld game, even with owning a PSP, and other DS games. Now im older and have different taste but all other reviewers are always saying that the tutorial is SO BORING for teaching you how to play rather than putting it in the menu but they forget that, little kids arent smart enough to look into a menu to read about how to play, little kids probaly learn from example and they wanna play too.

100%. I'm able to look at that because my 3 almost 4 year old is starting to play the custom levels I made on Super Mario Maker 2. A few more years and she can start this game!

I find it weird that people say this game is really easy. I've beaten almost every mario rpg game multiple times and I thought this was one of the hardest ones. Like many of the late game bosses made me put quite a bit of effort in and some of them even killed me. In most other mario rpgs I didn't even die once. Maybe people just tend to end up overleveled in this game. When I played it I was usually 1 or 2 levels below the bosses and many of them did a huge amount of damage even with the best gear. Or maybe for some reason I just suck at this game in particular while being good at the other mario rpgs? (which sound weird to me).

@somethin7020 I did die twice to a side boss at the end of the game. Other than that I found it to be fairly easy. Maybe I was to over levelled.

@@MythicVic Yeah, I mean people have different experinces with games. A game that's easy for someone might be hard for another and vice versa. Also I don't find the game particularly difficult, just difficult in comparison to other mario rpg's, since the games tend to be very easy.

For real. If you tried to do a "no battle plug" run of this game, I think it'd be genuinely difficult!

@@sethfeldpausch4337 I've been doing a no gear challenge for my second playthrough (also no overleveling) and it's genuinely difficult, but in a completely fair and fun way. I had many of the bosses straight up insta kill one of the bros, and combining that with them doing 2-3 attacks per turn sometimes, forces you to be extremely consitent with dodges. In the no gear challenge you're still allowed to equip boots and hammers so that the bosses don't take like an hour to beat.

Mario and lugi dream team was my favorite. Kinda cuz Luigi had alot of focus and waa busted in that one. Actually I think the original super star sage is held up by nostalgia. Browsers inside stroy is also a really good one too. I think our generation just loves to hate on new shit some😂

This game looks good. Idk , people didn't like it. I always played the Mario Luigi right games for the difficulty, not story altho the did happen to have some of the better stories in a franchise that doesn't really focus on it but idk. I can forgive a bad story ,I just need a challenge .the issues I have with Nintendo games is usually not having a hard mode. In general I love Nintendo but that the end of the day ,I literally only play video games for difficulty. A great story is just an extra treat to me. But I guess some people really need a story so I get that too

@@MythicVic you need to talk to NPCs like Adaphne or Dyode or Adaphne. They are harder but they aren't that hard.

Yeah but even the old games were never this cheesy Mario and luigi was definetly more of an all ages kind of a series but this game for whatever reason I guess they forgot the more target audience this time around. Even play Dream Team and inside story as a teen to young adult the story never felt that cheesy I could take the story fairly seriously but this game not so much.

We are getting older fam😂 we gotta face that we are not the target anymore like gaming was for like 25 years haha we have to let them breathe. Just enjoy it. Nintendo games never got that serious except for a few exceptions. We had our time for so long

@MythicVic partners in time was cool cuz it had parts with baby mario and luigi on the lower screen helping mario and luigi move across the top screen( only for certain puzzles) but I thought it was so cool. Also the enemies, art, and battling was pretty fun.

The people of ign literally reviewed the game before it was released they’re just salty for no reason theres nothing wrong with this game I’ve heard im still getting this game around Christmas ❤😊

Its on my list along with Sonic x shadow generations I’ve heard good things about it people say its the best sonic game im so happy makes me want the game even more ❤️😊

I was surprised you didn’t talk about the ending segment of the game! I guess cause of spoilers but the ending was amazing. I thought it was like a 7/10 too but that ending really amped up the dark aspects of the Mario and Luigi games I remember so fondly. This game is definitely slow during the beginning but once the pace picked up I can say I think this game is an 8/10 for me!😄👍

I get roasted if I spoil too much. Some people even get mad when you show them stuff from the opening cut scenes! An 8 out of 10 is definitely a fair score for this game!

I enjoyed this one, very well put together :3 I did find your voice or points a bit hard to follow at times so maybe in the future you could try adding a few visuals to the screen to emphasize your point? thats literally the only "negative" I have to say :3

If you can get it for cheaper by waiting for a while then that makes it much more worth it. Still 40 hours of gameplay if you do all the side stuff! Thanks for the comment.
