AVP2 did something that I never thought it was possible. It made me turn the brightness on my tv way up which is something that I never had to do in my whole life and have not done it since a single time with any other movie. Just a totally weird thing about it

I own some of these titles, too, and can attest to their awfulness. However, I think I'm more forgiving of lesser entries in a series that I love (most of the time). I only own "bad" sequels due to my completionism mentality. I assume that's the same reason you own those films as well? When it comes to rest of your disliked films, what is it about them that makes you keep them? Also, have you ever parted ways with any films you bought, or were gifted, in the past? I've been pondering these things since your last video on the subject. Keep the fun topics coming!

That's the reason I own some of the stinkers as well Wrong Turn comes to mind. But certain series I can't complete like Hellraiser even as a completionist I just can't bring mysel to get those.

I like AVP: Requiem (possibly the only one) 😂, then again, I’m a causal Alien/Predator fan at best lol. I didn’t grow up with the movies or anything. I will never put down someone’s opinion on movies though, because like you said that’s the beauty of film is that it impacts everyone differently!

I really liked Halloween Resurrection! I thought they did some cool new things with it. It's directed by the same guy who did Halloween II so I don't get why it gets so much hate. I focused on the good parts than the bad. The Busta Rhymes character is horrible, hated him so much. Despite that, I liked the whole reality show guests with their pov cameras investigating Michaels creepy, dark, messed up house and getting killed off on Halloween night. I really dig Resurrection. It's not a perfect film, but I don't find to be complete dogshit. I met Tyra Banks in real life so I guess I have a soft spot for it.

No one sets out to make a bad movie, so in my opinion the biggest sin a movie can commit is being BORING!!! I agree with you on AVP Requim dark dark dark so I don't even know if it's boring but that makes it bad. Halloween Resurrection I know it's bad but I have a soft spot for it and Jigsaw is the only chapter in Saw I don't own don't really know how that happened but it did. Like these videos both the worst and best. I'm down too see a complete collection video if you haven't already.

@@TheLostRiverDriveIn To be fair too, it's very rare for me to be so down on a movie to where I hate it. If I don't like a movie, then whatever, I just don't like it. But these two movies in particular strike a nerve with me on another level. First world problems I know lol.

AVP requiem I saw on Christmas Eve. It was terrible but I still had a lot of fun watching it. I was also very 😵‍💫

Paramount Activity 4 was definitely not my favorite, but it has grown on me. I do have the Blu-ray/DVD release & the Complete Collection Blu-ray too. I do wish Tokyo Night was included in the set. Haven't seen Dreamcatcher, it is one of the few Stephen King films I haven't seen. AVP: Requiem was such a letdown. You had the setup, you even had a Psycho like death and I agree the darkness was bad. Hoping if they do a 4K they clean it up. I still haven't gotten these on home video despite my completion needs. Haven't seen The Grudge reboot. Have you seen the Grudge vs Ring film? Have you ever seen the Homecoming version of Halloween 8? It's not too different just a better beginning l. I'm a completionist so yeah I have the DVD & Blu-ray. Halloween Resurrection was such a letdown. It starts off strong & actually has a great idea but it loses it's way with bad characters, unoriginal death scenes (outside of the head rolling camera angle and the Peeping Tom inspired death) Hills Have Eyes 2 I only watched once and there's definitely a reason for that, but it's been forever, so I should give it another shot. . I loved the remake though. I actually liked Jigsaw, Spiral for me was worse. Sorry you didn't care for it. I do wish the cliffhangers that Jigsaw and Spiral left us on would be addressed.

Spiral isn’t much better in my opinion. The Saw franchise desperately needed Saw X. I have seen the Homecoming footage and I actually liked it

@@TheLostRiverDriveIn Saw X is definitely better and I love it, hell my father was visiting & he hates slashers and I managed to get him to watch the original Saw trilogy because I told him it's more about the detective story vs gore and he enjoyed them but loved Saw X. I'm a completionist so I hate seeing cliffhanger storylines. I'd even be happy to see a Halloween 9 that continues the Resurrection story.

i have similar feelings about halloween resurrection. long story short I dislike that entry in the franchise. it is funny you have it on blu ray though. I used to have AVP 2 in my movie collection. only thing I liked from that flick was the predator and the predalien.

I'm so glad PA4 is bottom of the list. Ghost Dimension gets pooed on sooo hard and I don't get it. It's not a great film, but it's at least creative and I dig the final act a lot. I hated PA4, I can barely remember it I hated it so much, it's the epitome of filler storytelling. The rest of franchise is good to okay in my opinion.

My heart was racing when I saw the saw boxset but I agree Jigsaw is not good at all. Still think saw 3D is worse but Jigsaw is up there. I don’t understand the hate Spiral gets. The franchise did something different and it worked! I enjoyed it but the majority of people just want same old same old despite Tobin Bell being in his 80’s. Jigsaw was offensive though so I’m glad you chose that one and agree with you

@JamesLeclerc-Myth98 Call me crazy but I might prefer Jigsaw over Saw 3D. Idk depends on my mood cuz the answer definitely goes back and forth. But Jigsaw is more of a serious tone film whereas Saw 3D is straight goofy. I don’t like that much but it does have Chester Bennington in it so it might be better just cuz of that alone. It could go either way for me. I’m just glad Nick didn’t say Spiral cuz I think that movie genuinely gets waaaay too much hate

Halloween Resurrection devastated me in theaters. I begrudgingly bought the vhs hoping I could get something out of a rewatch and only viewed that once. Hadn't seen the movie until scream factory made me buy it with h20 & curse. I also was disappointed with dreamcatcher. Had no interest to rewatch since opening weekend in the theater. It was a run of bad theater experiences with my heroes letting me down. Resurrection, John carpenter with ghosts of Mars, kings dreamcatcher. They all seemed infallible when I was young.

I agree Paranormal Activity 4 is the worst in the series (still own it) Dreamcatcher was so disappointing (don't own it) the only good thing about AVP Requiem was it was filmed in my hometown (don't own it) Halloween Resurrection yuck LOL (still own it) The Hills Have Eyes 2 and Jigsaw i liked sorry LOL
