As a leafs fan. Our worst trade was Kadri for Kerfoot and Barrie. It's pronounced Po Ghee.

I'm sorry but how do you not add Karlsson to Sharks for Norris and Stutzle

I remember the day Rask was traded. I knew from the moment the Leafs traded him that they’d regret it. I’ll never forget that day.

Yeah not the best day for Leafs fans

Dale Weise and Tomas Fleischmann to Chicago for Philip Danault and a 2018 2nd round pick. Fun fact: Marc Bergevin and Philip Danault have been a part of the same organizations throughout their respective managerial and player careers.

You forgot a huge part of the Yashin - Chara swap. The Sens also Muckalt, but more importantly the second overall pick which became Jason Spezza. Chara for Yashin was already good. Adding Spezza to the trade is an absolute fleece

Montreal traded Ryan McDonagh and Chris Higgins for Scott Gomez and Tom Pyatt. Another worst trade that Montreal made was trading Mikhail Sergachev for Jonathan Drouin.

Brent burns was a underachieving injury prone winger playing defence in Minnesota, they got fair value at the time and San Jose’s development system of that time is something to hold into account, as they turned Thornton and burns into hall of fame esque players, (burns may not but Thornton will) and they turned Brent burns into Jesper Wallstedt if you follow the trade tree.

He should have put The Karlsson for Norris and Stutzle trade which was however was heavily one sided and saved Dorion's rep.

Bob to Columbus for virtually nothing and Philly hasn't really had a goalie better since Bob
@17hanke262 ай бұрын
i mean just after the first trade, kinda shocked. Jeff Carter was a complete dawg and at the time it was believed to be a blue jacket fleece. They traded a prospect that had a 40 points for a guy coming who put up 3 30 goal seasons during the dead puck era. You cant speculate or include who they drafted as part of the trade thats just hearsay Columbus assumed (wrongly) that with the added fire power they would sneak into playoffs.
@jimmyhockey2 ай бұрын
If everything worked out with Carter in Columbus it wouldn’t have looked so bad, but he was traded to LA and Vorachek played like a beast In Philly
@17hanke262 ай бұрын
@@jimmyhockey he left Columbus for non-hockey reasons he had a nose for trouble if you catch the drift. Vorachek turned into a solid player never put up statlines like Carter in a more offensive era.

It was slightly before, but I thought it was relevant to the past decade which is why I included it

Kunitz trade hurts so much.. im certain we could have gotten another cup with likes of Getzy, Perry, Ryan and Kunitz...

Yeah not sure if he would have been the same player he became in Pittsburgh, but either way Whitney just wasn’t a good fit with the team
