Udon is popular but not "everyone has it for breakfast" popular. It is definitely the most popular Japanese noodle dish but ramen is getting traction among the young folks. Korean breakfast is similar to Japan in that in consists of a bowl of rice, bean paste soup(miso, doenjang) and a bunch of side dishes. But people are consuming less rice every year like Japan and are going for more westernized options like bread, yogurt and cereal.
@karlatran9316 Жыл бұрын
I'm Vietnamese with a Vietnamese palette so I agree with Emily's list. Udon tastes the closest to home cause its light but also satisfyingly filling and doesn't make you feel groggy afterwards. Ramen is very decadent so it's only a sometimes food for me. I can eat udon more often then ramen and I like its fatter, chewy noodles and clear broths.
