I've passed five kidney stones. They gave the sensation that you've been shot with a .22 and the bullet bounces around your kidney until you pee it out. You feel the pain in your back, abdomen, groin (really sucks if you're a guy) and the nausea made it so much worse; honestly, the pain wouldn't be so bad if my guts didn't feel like they were about to abandon ship.

When I was 21 years old I was a over the road truck driver. I ended up passing a kidney stone on the side of the interstate during a ice storm. I thought I was going to die that night! It was a nightmare! My truck got stuck at a closed down rest area. The truck got stuck in gear so, I could not idle it for heat until I pushed the clutch in to let the truck run after nearly freezing to death. I had already passed the stone or stones. I remember sweating profusely, having tunnel vision in nearly blackening out. it was around 0° f. I then climbed in the back sleeper & fell asleep. I woke up freezing and forced myself to push the clutch down and start the truck to save my life that night. A tow truck found me the next morning.

I have fibromyalgia, and had 3 babies using no painkilling drugs. But, by far, the worst pain I’ve ever experienced was when I ruptured a disk in my lower spine. That awful electric-shock feeling lasted for weeks, and no amount of painkillers helped. I’ve had a tumor removed through my nose, no comparison. I get migraines;no comparison. Broken bones, no comparison. A 3rd degree burn, no comparison. The next-worst pain I can remember was when I caught a nasty strain of salmonella from a KFC, I was in the ER waiting room screaming. They loaded me up on pain meds. Thankfully, it was gone a day or 2 later, but that was agonizing.

I'm amazed and happy fibromyalgia is included here. It was thought to be a fake disease for so long. Let me tell you, I have it for over ten years and some days, I just want to lie in bed and cry. Some days aren't bad. But those that are, simply devastate me. Plus, the pain can be in different locations on different days. Finally, even on good days, there's overwhelming fatigue. Not the 'I didn't sleep well" tiredness. This is the ''do I have enough energy to take a shower' fatigue. Yup. It belongs on this list.

An issue is that many people with fibromyalgia don't actually have anything wrong with them and often the problem is just lazyness. Say everybody runs 5 kilometers a day and one person only runs 1 kilometer a day. The person who only runs one kilometer will be tired from running 5 five kilometers because they have never done it before. Upon telling a doctor that they cannot run 5 kilometers without getting tired, the doctor will say they have fibromyalgia because they cant keep up with the average. But the real reason the person can't keep up with the average is becasue they don't attempt to. Most of the cases come down to lazyness.

I had surgery to correct my cluster headaches because I was seriously going to unalive myself. So I had the muscles in my forhead and cranium permanently paralyzed. They call it permanent botox. Thankfully it worked, but the surgery was painful itself

I get 1-5 a year I have passed out a couple of times and vomited they are so erratic you head explodes. There is no beat to it you cannot do anything but focus on it as its sudden and scary as the pain is searing and you at at its mercy.

I spent my 27th birthday in the ICU after getting hit by welding spatter - the guy opposite me begun a weld without my knowledge and I copped it in my right eye, it was taken out by an eye surgeon and I had "sandpaper eyelid" for a couple of weeks, with not much sleep as a result. However being told my baby son had cancer at birth and needed his left testicle removed - If I agreed to it was far-harder, To do anything apart from hold him and help him through chemo while we were living in rural Australia meant I had to be the nurse who flushed out the Hickman line in his chest twice a week, fully scrubbed and gowned-up - how I managed to work as well I don`t recall, lot`s of coffee and tears out in the shed, He`s a 30 y/old man now and fully recovered - one day he may have a son too..

I got stung in the eye by a wasp when I was younger. Now I have this weird mark where the stinger sat in my eye because they couldn't take it out. My eye doctor last year was like "I have NEVER seen anything like that before." There's a bunch of pigment left from the stinger lol.

My Father got a bee sting in his eye when a kid. Much later in life, he got Lazik surgery on his eye. It failed, leaving his eye damaged, due to the early damage from the bee sting. It took a long while before he got the second eye done. Ever after, he had to watch TV with the bad eye covered, as they didn't work well together.

I'm a Mother of 3, 1st Baby - 26hrs labour, his back was against mine, pulled out with forceps with his head so large I had 42 stitches & dislocated coccyx! 22 months later Natural Twins, born by C-Section where my blood pressure dropped so low I was in a minor coma (14 hours) once I came around it was found that my nerves had been severed in by groin - Ouch! I have also broken / smashed almost every bone in my body! The worst pain I ever felt was a posterior dislocation of my elbow - 2 ops on it since to remove bits of cartilage that were floating around & it still hurts occasionally 25 years later!

The worst pain I've ever had was my first laminectomy, which is surgery on your back , mine was L5S1 lowest part of back where your back muscles are cut, it was like continuing labour pain without any results. It was horrific, I believe now they have better pain relief.

I suffered from testicular torsion when I was 18. And I can tell you that everything he said, its true. I was in the most awful pain in my life. It happened during the early hours and I was the only one at school. Had to wait an hour for someone to show up to call for help. By the time I was being removed from school to go to the emergency, I was basically lucidly unconscious and I had to wait another hour for the specialist to arrive at the hospital to diagnose and send me in surgery. It was only when they temporarily paralysed me from the waist down, I could finally be out of pain. The surgeon told me they sew my marbles to the side so it doesn't happen again. After a month of recovery and awkward bathroom trips, I was finally okay :)

I'm in the same boat as you. I can barely walk anymore and because it hurts to do anything I am getting fatter and fatter. Which makes the pain worse. Sometimes I get su1cid@l and just want to die, but I do not want to do that to my mom, sister, or her kids. I'm 42 in April and can't have any kids of my own. These are the top 3 moments I experienced the most pain. Once I fell off a tire swing and broke my arm. I don't exactly know how a fall that short could break an arm. The swing was only a foot higher than your average tire swing. I guess I fell off and landed in the worst possible position. I was very young so I don't remember how the pain felt like, all I remember is that it hurt an insane amount. Once I stuck my thumb in the gaps of the hinges of a door, and then, I don't know why I thought this was I good idea or what on Earth was going through my mind, but I decided to slam the door as hard as I could. And at that moment, I started screaming louder than a jet engine. When I looked at my thumb to assess the damage, I began screaming even louder. Fortunately, the worst of it only lasted a split second and my dad drove me to urgent care. I was crying the whole way. Finally, one night I woke up. Then I started feeling a very slight pain in my heart. I tried to ignore it but the pain steadily grew and grew. My heart began beating harder and harder and faster and faster. I began crying and at the worst of it, it was nearly impossible to avoid screaming. Imagine stepping on 5 legos, bumping your funny bone as hard as you can, being punched by Saitama in the stomach, stubbing all your toes at once, drenching yourself in scalding water, having a needle hit your eye at mach 10, and combining all that amount of pain into one very specific part of the body and that pain persisting for a solid 5 minutes. Fortunately, my heart soon began beating slower and less hard and the pain began to weaken. I still have no idea what could have caused that pain. Please tell me if you think you know.

When it comes to kidney stones, I’m the master. Since 1988, I’ve passed over 40 of them…with five of them traveling through my urinary tract since March 23rd. The last one I “birthed” was so large, I actually think it formed in my bladder because I don’t know how it could have passed through my ureter. I’m not going to give dimensions because there will just be those who will accuse me of lying. I wish I could insert images into this comment because a picture is worth a thousand likes. I WILL say that for two full weeks, I only pissed blood. Amazingly, after it passed, all blood and pain dissipated. I swear I aged ten years in one month. SMH

Had a paper cut on my eyeball once. I was walking down some stairs outside, holding papers and a gust of wind came and they flew upward and one of them sliced me right in the eye. SO MUCH PAIN!!!! The worst pain I've ever had though was a very bad migraine. I thought I was having a stroke. I was alone and needed help, I was near a phone but in too much pain to actually reach for it and go through the motions of calling and speaking so I just lay there in the dark thinking I was going to die. My head felt like it was going to explode. I do my best to never let them get that bad. Thank God for modern medicine!

I can say that I thought childbirth was exceptionally painful, but totally worth it! However, I found a serious competitor for that pain, when I had necrotizing fasciitis, aka "flesh eating bacteria". I lost all the muscle in my upper right arm right down to the elbow, a considerable amount of pectoral muscles on both sides, and right down the center of my abdomen. After a 4 month induced coma, the pain was incredible, and it took more than a year after discharge to recover. The most painful thing that I know of, and NOTHING can be more painful, was to bury my beautiful 27 year young babygirl, Alyson. She suffered severe internal injuries in a car accident almost 2 years ago, and everyday I feel the same pain, hurt and loss. I had to tell the doctors to let her go, as they could not do anything else for her. My heart is broken, and I will feel this EXCRUCIATING pain, as long as I live....

My deepest condolences. I to have had long painful childbirths. Im living with chronic pain right now due to a injury to my saccrocoxxegeal area from being rear ended. I fell on a power washer motor once. Left most of the skin on the back of my leg behind. Severe 3rd degree burns with the design of the motor imprinted on me. Zero pain for the first 5 days because I had seared all my nerves. But 5 days in the feeling came back with a vengeance. Changing my bandages was a pain like nothing else I have ever experienced. It felt like someone scraping a wire brush on the worst burn you could ever imagine. Once when my bf ws changing the bandage for me, I was screaming and begging so hard for him to stop that he actually started crying. (I was power washing his brother's driveway as a surprise for him). Never took so much as a motrin. I still get a little PTSD when I think too much about it.

One thing was left out of this video: ovarian torsion. Yup, my ovary wrapped itself around my fallopian tube. The pain in my lower stomach was so severe I was on the floor screaming from what felt like one of those chest-bursters from Aliens was trying to eat and claw itself out of my belly. Fortunately, someone nearby noticed my distress and called me an ambulance. The First Responders asked me what my pain level was from 1-10, and I screamed "TWELVE!!!" Unfortunately for me, I waited for 2 hours and one hospital-switch to get any pain relief because my local medical people are idiots who don't care about someone screaming in pain. The second hospital immediately gave me a very strong painkiller (I don't know what it was) and placed me in a private suite across from the nurse's desk. The care I was given at Missouri University Hospital in Columbia, Mo. was five-star. I recall most the way my nurse told me to hit my call button if I was feeling any pain whatsoever. True to her word, I had pain relief within minutes of asking for it. And she tucked four pillows around me in my bed, plus an extra one under my head. A surgeon wound up removing the ovary and both fallopian tubes. That was okay bc I had enough children (4). What remains not-so-fun is that it kicked in early menopause. I also no longer care about dating. That's a good thing.

Testicular torsion is bad enough but easier to treat because they’re just flipping and flopping around in your scrotum but the ovaries are INSIDE THE BODY CAVITY, so you would have to have gotten your lower abdomen cut open just to relieve the pain! Good god that sounds awful! Also the alien comparison is accurate as it is the same feeling that I get whenever I get testicular torsion. It is absolutely absurd the amount of pain it gives you!

The most painful thing that I've experienced was. In November 2016, I was 31 yrs old. I found out that I had stage 3 ovarian cancer. I had to have a laparoscopic surgery where they had to blow my stomach up with CO2, because I had to have a full hysterectomy. I'm 5'6" and weigh around 120. The C02 made me look like I was 9 months pregnant.I had to pass all of it naturally, which took about 2 to 3 weeks to do so. I couldn't sleep, eat, I couldn't sit, walk, or lay down or do anything without hurting for a whole month. It was the most excruciating pain i had ever encountered.

as someone that has gout due to kidney failure. i can say that its the worst pain i ever felt. i have had my face bitten by a dog before (minimal damage but painful) and i would rather feel that pain multiple times over than experience the gout flare up again. even a single gust of wind is pure agony. thanks to medications its under control, but every single day, multiple times a day when bending the toe to walk it cracks as it breaks down the crystals. my foot was literally 4 times the size when it flared up. i dont wish it on anyone.

I have gout and didn't know what it was when it first flared up. I was literally crawling trying to keep my right foot off the floor. Excruciating pain for the entire week and my foot blew up to 4x. The most painful pain I've ever felt. My dumb friends kept calling me weak but even then I just hope they never get to experience this pain.

Thats rough! A close friend of mine was about 12 when she was diagnosed with rheumatoid arthritis. We met when she was 16 and it had progressed so much in those few years, especially in her knees and ankles(if you could still call them ankles with how enlarged they were). She was in constant pain and went many years before finally agreeing to take anything more than OTC pain relievers. She worked on her feet in retail for about 5 years until she finally got her SSD. She was married to the man she loved who in return also loved her dearly. She became progressively worse over the years and by the time she was 26, she was in a wheelchair. She was so bad at such a young age, the guilt of taking her husband’s dream of a family away was very hard for her. So much so that it made her actually tell her husband that he should leave her so he could move on and have a life with someone who could give him the family she knew he wanted. God bless him he refused. He continued to care for and love her for. Unfortunately though, at the age of 29, she passed away. The family said it was an “accidental overdose”. I know others as well as myself want to believe that but there will always be a part of me that believes she was aware of what she was doing and did so because she couldn’t live with all the physical and emotional pain she carried. Now, almost 10 years later, her husband is remarried with a child so thankfully, he was able to stand by his first wife AND still have his dream of a family. Im sure she is happy looking down on him and his family. Sorry for the book but, I still think of her often and love sharing her story so she’s not forgotten. 🌹

Gall stones. In total and complete agony. Told by a doctor at Whangarei Hospital that there was nothing wrong with me and sent home. In so much pain that I could not even move to pick up the phone beside me to call an ambulance. Finally a doctor friend took me to another hospital where the chief surgeon said you will only live another 24 hours as you are so ill. A 45 minute surgery took him 6 hours to clean me out. Whangarei Hospital is the WORST hospital on the planet. So grateful to the surgeon who listened, saw how ill I was and cared enough to listen. Unlike Whangarei Hospital where you are ALWAYS told, go home, take paracetamol. And if you query us, we are calling security to throw you out.

I was surprised gall stones weren't mentioned. Had one which blocked the common bile duct. The initial pain felt like I imagine a heart attack would feel. The worst came later - all-encompassing agony.

Same here plus breast and skin cancer as a result of it. Fibromyalgia is an autoimmune cancer causing syndrome - by interfering with your cytokine system. Keep away from spirit alcohol and opiate painkillers... Best way I can describe my pain is needles in every joint at every movement and a extreme sunburn like pain over my whole body but under the skin and 24/7. Its so much fun being told its in my head

My uterine biopsy was the most pain I ever experienced, being scraped from the inside was absolutely horrific and I was not offered any anesthesia or pain medication, this is not a procedure that should ever be done on someone who is awake

It felt like the doctor had gripped my uterus with a hemostat & was pulling it inside out. Worse yet was when I had a flexible sigmoidoscopy with no pain shot beforehand--when the scope reached a certain spot it felt like the uterine biopsy felt. We were in the basement of the office and I SCREAMED BLOODY MURDER! I happened to see my chart and he had the nerve to write that I tolerated the procedure well! Most doctors do not understand pain at all. The older ones had only a short discussion about pain. It's a proven fact that doctors don't order enough pain medication after surgery.

The attitude and treatment of female organ pain is absolutely barbaric & totally under considered & i blame MUCH of that on the fact that the majority of drs in that field are men & for w.e reason cannot wrap their minds around or empathize w how a woman may feel pain in that way & i also pair misogyny/arrogance to that field. I had to have a uterine biopsy once too. Worst pain ever. At one point, not my only scream, I was so loud that the doctor scolded me for screaming so loud, saying I would scare the people in the waiting room. Even having the inside of my uterus for Mirena wasn't as bad as the biopsy. There should be pain medication, if not anesthesia to do the procedure. I'm not sure why there isn't.

I few years ago I had an inflamed nerve in one of my molars. Sipping something cold numbed the pain for a couple of minutes, but when I tried to just 'ignore' it hoping to either get used to it... the pain got so bad I felt like I was going to scream in agony. I spent three days constantly sipping whatever I got get my hands on - water, soda, milk. I had to keep getting up to use the bathroom, I got so tired of it, I ended up just being into empty soda bottles. I also threw up a lot from the amount of liquids I drank... and light headed from all the pain killers I tried like Ibrufopren and my Step Fathers stronger pain meds which didn't even phase it. I finally turned to a friend of mine whose husband took morphine pills due to a very bad back injury. She told me to try Aleve. I was like, "Yeah sure, like that's going to do anything." and she was like, "Trust me." I took one aleve and the pain was gone within 30 minutes... :P

Most painful thing I've experienced? I had to have a central line IV put in to my vein, just under the collarbone. The doctor who did it injected one small syringe of novocaine, and then without waiting for the novocaine to take effect, picked up a 6 inch needle about the diameter of a crochet hook, and just shoved it into my vein. Then shoved the plastic tube through the needle into the vein for the central line access. If I HAD an enemy, I wouldn't wish that on any of them. Most painful thing that's EVER happened to me. Five minutes later, he followed that up by doing a thorocentesis - where they stick a long thin needle into your back, between the ribs, and into a lung, and use a syringe to pull fluid out of the lung. Also very painful, but actually DID help me feel better, since they were getting the fluid out of my lung, and still NOTHING as painful as the central line!

When I had my son, I was in labor for 17 long hours when I had to have an emergency C-section. I had an epidural, so it should have been easy. But after they removed him from my uterus, the epidural wore off completely and I felt every bit of it I felt every staple every pool when they took the placenta out and stapling the muscle all of it it was the most excruciating pain I've ever felt. I kept trying to come off the table it was so bad and the doctor said don't knock her out I'm almost finished I'll never forget that I yelled at the doctor but the drugs they gave me afterward and knocked me out and made me so high I was out of it the whole day and didn't get to hold my son until after 7:00 that night. As painful as it was I would do it all over again

I’ve had severe migraines for almost 30 years and my pain is always in my right temple, you can visually see the throbbing, and I describe it as “a tiny evil man standing in my head with a huge, hot, sharp knife stabbing at my temple for hours on end”. I’ve given birth naturally (not by choice, the epidurals wouldn’t work) where I had a 3rd degree episiotomy (I won’t describe what this is due to the crude description I’d have to give but look it up if you are curious lol). The same delivery, the doctor had to put his hand up my woohoo to scoop out my placenta that tore apart inside of me, then sew me up…all without giving me any pain killers. I was actually surprised that natural childbirth was not on this list.

@@katybug6572 if you’ve never given birth before don’t look it up. It’s best not to freak yourself out over complications that probably won’t happen. I’m under 5 feet tall and have narrow hips so it’s crazy that they didn’t give me a C-section. My second child (yes, I crazily did it twice) was an awful experience as well. But the second time I had to have an emergency C-section and they had to give me the epidural After they induced me…they Again had problems getting the epidural in and took 2 different doctors and 45 minutes to get it in While I was contracting every 2 minutes and I had to stay perfectly still. But after the epidural I obviously felt very little.

I'm surprised child birth wasn't on this list either It should be i just had my first 8 months ago they gave me an epidural after they induced me the epidurals didn't work for me because I had no breaks in between contractions. I didn't even want an epidural but, I was in so much pain I didn't have a choice even though I originally didn't want it because I have a phobia about anyone touching my back due to childhood trauma but, I had no choice. I was in labor for 8 hours plus I forgot how long my contractions lasted. I thought I was going to die and I wouldn't wish that on anyone the only good thing that came out of that was my baby girl.

I had to endure what I thought was a tooth ache for almost a year, from summer 2018 to spring 2019! It turned out to be tooth abscess, which my family and I thought could've happened when the elder dentist was doing fix up work on my cavity. The pain itself was AWFUL! After the anesthetic wore off, it felt like something was nailed down my tooth! At first, it was slightly painful whenever I chewed on my left side of the mouth, but come late winter/early spring, the pain got WORSE! Woke up one weekend to excruciating pain in the tooth, so bad that I wanted to rip it out of my mouth! It then got to the point where I couldn't even eat properly or open my mouth wide enough, even if it was to eat on the other side. I had to eat little or skip Easter dinner that year. By the time I had a check up at the dentist made, I couldn't even open my mouth wide enough to have an x-ray done, with the constant pain. (They managed to get the x-ray) They found the problem to be tooth abscess and explained I had to wait until the abscess popped before I can get it removed. Thankfully it popped. I had the tooth extracted a couple days later in one go, but had to wait around two weeks before I could properly eat foods again. Liquid diet and all.

I've had chronic gout on and off for 5 years or so. At its worst, I must say it was the worst pain I ever endured in my 52 years. He's not kidding with the light breeze. I would have to sleep with my foot over the bed but if I move during the night I would wake up and agony screaming. Once when it was horrible and I couldn't walk for two weeks couldn't put on a shoe or a sock couldn't wash it the doctor prescribed colchicine which is a poison. He told me to take one every hour until I got violently ill. So here I was on the toilet fluids coming out of every orifice but when it subsided I noticed that the shiny red golf ball on my toe was practically gone and so was the pain. I just had a itchy sensation for a while but the medicine pulled all of the uric acid out of my body through vomit and diarrhea. I was truly amazed on how good that worked. The medicine poison me but got rid of my agony. I changed my diet watch the purines slowed my drinking alcohol, increase my fluids and cut out sugars almost completely. That was maybe 15 years ago, and I've never gotten it since. Once in awhile I'll feel a tinge in my toe but it just goes away. Actually other than smashing my hammer onto my thumb twice within two days the gout was probably the worst thing ever

Worst pain I've endured is when I was maybe 13 or 14 years old. We were on a desert trip and I got a middle-ear infection in both ears. It lasted all day until finally the pressure burst the eardrums. I felt the liquid in my ear and a complete loss of pain at that moment. It was euphoric after all the pain I had gone through prior. Luckily, the holes were small enough that they healed back on their own without needing tissue grafting.

I remember when I was 13-14, I was running down our carpeted hallway to get something for my grandmother, and out of nowhere I feel this intense searing jolt in my foot, which makes me fall to the floor. I picked up my foot and saw that a massive sewing needle was sticking directly in the center of my heel. Only about 1cm of it was still showing, as it had hit the bone in my foot. My dad brought me a pair of needle nose pliers, and I slowly pulled it out. You had to see it to believe how huge this thing was. Nobody in my house had any clue how it could've gotten there. To this day, I still look back on that moment and cringe at how painful an experience that was.

Oh goodness! I'm cringing just reading your comment! When I was 9, I stepped on a toothpick that was standing up in shag carpeting , and it went all the way in and hit a bone. I had to hop from my bedroom to the kitchen crying, and when I showed my mom, she just grabbed the end and....pulled it out. No slow, no sympathy. As a matter of fact, she said something along the lines of 'Well I guess you need to clean your room better, then. And get a bandaid before you get blood on the floor.' LOL (She was probably a BIT more sympathetic than that, but to a nine yo, it didn't seem like it. ) It's funny NOW, but it SURELY wasn't funny THEN!. I'm curling my toes and wincing about how painful that was.

Hey Robert, I hear ya buddy. I commented up top to "GoddessNovember"s comment, but I know what you're going thru, brotha!!!! It's pretty rare for men to get Fibro, too, so you're one in very few, which probably is harder for people around you to understand what you really go thru. As I said up top, I also have several other chronic pain issues to go along with the Fibro, so that just makes my pain skyrocket. I'm on about 9 prescriptions right now, but it used to be around 13, so I feel pretty good about knocking that down a few, because you literally feel like that's all you do is eat pills. I literally feel as if my body is falling in on itself some days. Anyway, I hope you get on a treatment plan that eases some of that pain for you, Robert. I'm on Methadone, Tramadol, Methotrexate, Ritalin (for my Narcolepsy), as well as Amitryptiline to help me get some sleep, which, believe it or not, doesn't happen unless I have the med. I'll be sending positive vibes your way!!!

Only just found this video. Thank you for mentioning Fibro. I got it as a result of going through chemotherapy for 2 types of cancer. I also had to have surgery for a third type of cancer a year after finishing the chemo. The constant pain, knowing I will be in pain for the rest of my life without ever actually getting a break. Not always being able to be sure if it is actual damage (an actual injury or such) or just a flare of my nerves also constantly wears at my mental health. I have better days and worse days, just never a day without pain. I also now have discovered I have had damage to my heart as a result of the chemo as well. While I know I would not be alive now without having had the chemo. Sometimes I do wonder if it was worth going through it to end up living the rest of my life with so much pain.

I am already on a higher than the top allowed dose of the painkiller Fentanyl and when that stops working completely as morphine and other strong opiates have, I don't know what I will do - take a jump.

​@@AnotherWittyUsername. I simply cannot believe what your doctor is doing to you. Where do you live, in the UK? If you do, move to another doctor who believes you and gives you the ONLY painkiller that helps and on a full dose. I have a frozen shoulder as well (my right one, sod's law, I am completely right-handed and my left lower arm is pretty much paralysed by permanent ulnar nerve damage. I know that doctors keep preaching to us that opiates make the pain worse over time (not true, they just don't work as well as the pain threshold gets lower and lower). I have been given every pain killer that has been developed in the world, in three different pain clinics. Literally everything! NOTHING works. At the end of the day, despite all the disadvantages and negative things that happen if you treat your pain with an opiate, there is pain that simply won't react to any painkiller that works in a different way - and there are some, I am the first to admit that opiates are not nice and if you suffer from some pain (often back pain can be treated by something else because I have a broken lumbar vertebra and my Fentanyl does NOTHING for the back pain. But the back pain pales in comparison with pain from Fibromyalgia (and I can't even imagine what you are suffering from the Ankylosing Spondylitis ON TOP of Fibromyalgia and SEID). Doctors don't know WHY the nerves tell the brain that the person is in terrible pain when there is in fact nothing at all wrong (and sadly that means that very many doctors simply don't believe that there IS anything wrong. Luckily (I know that sounds awful) but it IS lucky, there are a huge number of people who suffer from Fibromyalgia, I haven't met somebody in the last few years who when I mention it doesn't tell me they have a friend, relative, doctor, etc. who also suffers from it. But until doctors (or more likely researchers) have found out how the nerves work to fool the brain into believing that a certain area is in excruciating pain, we won't have a painkiller which precisely targets the nerves or the part of the brain to stop sending or receiving the pain signals, there is only one painkiller that actually works. And that is an opiate, the strongest we can get being Fentanyl. Any doctor who reduces a person's amount of Fentanyl should lose his or her license to practice! Undiluted Diamorphine hydrochloride is stronger, about 30 times according to some studies (so, NOT street heroin but the real thing they have in hospitals and pharmacies), would be so wonderful for people who have suffered from Fibromyalgia for years but it is deemed too addictive to give long-term, so Fentanyl is the ONLY painkiller that makes your life even marginally worth living. I, personally am scared to death of what will happen when I have had Fentanyl for so long that it simply doesn't work anymore. Because I have had it for about 13 years now and went from 1 patch every 10 days to 1 patch every 2 days. I could live another 40 or 50 years. What am I going to do then? I won't live for another 40 or 50 years, that is the simple answer because I WILL commit suicide. All of the people here who have commented how glad they are that Fibromyalgia is included in the list know what I am talking about. Only people who are in the end stage of cancer probably suffer more than we do - and they get diamorphine hydrochloride because they are dying so it doesn't matter if they get addicted. I pray every day that enough money is put into research to find the "cure", a painkiller that targets the cause of Fibromyalgia - but I am not holding my breath.

Then there was the pulling of a wisdom tooth without the heavy-duty pain drug. Could not get the drug due to being pregnant. Truly felt like my jaw had been kicked by a horse. Unbelievable. All bad, but nothing close to Fibromyalgia and lower spine problems I am stuck with until I die. That all over pain is horrible, and with me is nonstop. I'm surprised that he didn't mention trigeminal neuralgia, AKA: "the Suicide Disease"! I've had that for over 18 years, and it's horrible. At least 5 people in our online support group have died by suicide because they couldn't live with the pain. One was a Marine who told us TN was much worse than being shot. It's caused by a damaged nerve, kind of like a "short circuit". The brain doesn't know how to respond to the signals it's receiving, so it just throws everything at it; sharp, burning, stabbing, electrical pain! Kind of like being stabbed with a sharp cattle prod at full voltage.

I have sciatica from a terrible pregnancy with my twins so there’s a sharp pain up my left side but fibromyalgia trumps that too. I have a blood clotting condition and a blood clot in my leg or lungs/PE lead to sharp pains too. I haven’t had cancer but my mom had it twice so I went and got the test and yup I got the BRCA gene. So now I’m deciding if I want the elective mastectomy but the blood clot condition means no elective surgery. UGH!!! Hang in there, hon! We got this.

@@judyherman1249 In 2005, I was on social security for disability due to the fibromyalgia. It hit me fast and hard, and has progressively gotta worse with age. I clearly remember a man who worked at social security telling me that fibromyalgia was a pandemic! He said millions of people had it and were no longer able to work. People have no idea how disabling it can be. My question is this...what happened to cause so many people to get this? I remember spending afternoons in the sun and seeing much chem trailing going on at that time. I believe that caused it. Chem trails have been going on for years all over the country. Some are more susceptible than others to the disorders they cause. If I had known then all that I know now, believe me I would never lay out in the sun.

Fibromyalgia is an over sensitive autoimmune condition that causes the neurotransmitters in your brain to not communicate properly with your brain. Thus telling your brain that you're in pain when you really aren't. Possibly similar to phantom pain when you're missing a limb. At any rate it is a miserable thing to have to live with.

I have had Fibromyalgia for 23 years now, and it's gradually getting worse to the point of beingdiabled. I don't wish it upon anyone, however, a friend of mine has it too, and it's someone you can talk too that totally understand what you're going through. It's been said that it does not necessarily run in the family but my daughter who is 32 has it too. I read an article that says they have done studies that show Fibromyalgia Syndrome is caused by antibodies that increase the activity of pain-sensing nerves throughout the body. The results show that Fibromyalgia is a disease of the immune system. It has caused me to be laying down most of the time because the more you move the more pain you're in. Even the weight of your leg on a mattress for 30 minutes or more can cause extreme pain. Seems like no matter what you do your always in pain. You can have a few hours or a day where it's not so bad followed by days, weeks, or months of extreme pain. You never know... Not to mention the fatigue, weakness, brain fog, etc. There are days when you plan on going shopping, doing laundry ,going to an event, etc the next day but by the next morning you just have to cancel your plans because you're just not up to it because of any or all the above fore mentioned. And yes there have been some days in the past 23 years that you just have to cry, not just for the pain but for a your life that's been ruined by something you can't control.

OMG, Judy, I also have it and so does my daughter! I'm so shocked that it's included in here too. For so long, it was known as the disease that is only given a diagnosis when the doctors don't know what else to do with you. I'm so shocked that there's so many people on here who have commented about having it. I remember when I was diagnosed, I said to the doc, "Fibro what???" I had never heard of it before. And honestly, back then, it was hard to find anything about it because it was so new. I'm so happy it's finally being recognized as REAL, and the PAIN IS REAL. @@MsLilpeach definitely don't feel alone, because thousands of people have it and it's more prominent in females. If you can get a good younger doctor he should know about Trigger Points on your body. When the trained doctors touch those points, it very slight, but he/she would fill a slight movement. There's at least 18 of them and if you have at least 15 of the 18 that's another sign of Fibromyalgia. There are other symptoms too, something like 25-30 but not everyone necessarily has the same symptoms. My daughter and a friend of mine have it but their symptoms are slightly different, and not everyone has all of the symptoms. Hope you can find the best pain relief that works best for you.

Most paniful thing I've experienced: Long term pain: A slipped disc and a bursitis in my right leg (yes, they occurred at the same time). It happened in 2017 and 6 years later, I still sometimes have mobility issues due to the damage it caused to the leg (most specifically, to the sciatic nerve). Short term pain: Dental infection. I had to get 2 root canals because of this. The first time it occurred was in 2019. I remember when the doctor showed me the x-rays, I saw the extend of it. The gum surronding the infected tooth had gone totally black (necrosis) and you could see some white stuff (perhaps pus?) surrounding said tooth. Adding insult to injury, a ligament between to mouth and nose had completely snapped. When I felt this pain & noticed my gum smelt weird in 2021, I knew exactly what that was & asked for an emergency appointment on the following day.

I had all of my teeth removed. They all got damaged in an accident where I hit my face on a bench at a park causing microfractures in almost all of them. Then I developed bruxism and didn't know I had it because I live along and nobody sleeps by me to tell my im grinding. I didn't know I had bruxism until my teeth were all starting to chip away. Only one of them got infected though. My dentist went ahead and removed it even though the infection hadn't completely gone yet and let me tell you novocaine does not work on infected roots! When she yanked that tooth I screamed bloody murder.

Yeah I have too many health conditions and I'm disabled at 19yrs old, I've never experienced a true 10/10 pain, but I've gotten close, from intestinal rips causing constant bleeding to joint pain that never goes away and gets worse with changes in temperature and note, out of everything I go through I'm not allowed to take ibuprofen and Tylenol doesn't work, so I needed to push through it all daily. One of my most agonizing pain experiences was from PCOS when I'd bleed for over 2 months straight very heavily and the pain was so horrible that I was suicidal and had to deal with it for years, I'd burn, punch and cut the pelvis area or hit my head against a wall because it actually helped, my second most painful was my most recent intestinal rip because of constipation that also never goes away, I had to push hard massive pieces of stool out so often that it ripped my intestine, I got used to the blood and pain from constipation, but when I pushed, I couldn't get it out and I felt a horrible pain that wouldn't go away and finally I got it out with blood spilling and not stopping, the pain continued and yet I still didn't cry and wasn't bothered by the bleeding that didn't stop of course I saw a doctor for advice and I'll have to see a gastroenterologist soon, but I know I can handle A LOT, needles don't hurt, burns aren't an issue, cuts, physical hits, you name it, I can probably handle it, but I'll admit from my constant pain, it's almost made me numb to it kind of, now I won't try to put myself through horrible pain to prove it, because obviously I don't want more pain, but with pain everywhere, swelling joints, unexplainable sharp, burning, dull and aching pains, you get used to it. That's how that man could handle all the bug stings anyways

I take Polyethylene Gycol Powder 3350. I take every night without fail. I take opiates for pain Morphine ER and Hydrocone 325/5 x 2 twice a day. Once you started those it is next to impossible to stop. They also consume your body a year at a time. I am sorry for your constant pain issues. The worst pain I've ever had was gallstones. You literally feel like you're dying from the pain (and I gave birth to a 10lb baby without pain relief). These days, the worst pain is from rheumatoid arthritis . Even if I'm not having a flare-up, there is still chronic long-term pain. I've found that people who have never felt chronic pain think that you're exaggerating or a hypochondriac. Just because they can't see your physical disability they think it's not real. I get told you're not old enough to be disabled (55), to which I tell them that you can be born disabled so their argument is useless. I tell them I would willingly swap their healthy body for my crippling autoimmune disorder.

I once heard a story of a lady who passed her kidney stone, or got it dislodged and made it much easier to pass, when on a roller coaster... I imagine the vibrations of the flight helped to loosen it up. She passed in January of 2020, Right at the explosion of COVID. After a routine female surgery, I kept going back to my OB and complaining of abdominal pain. He called me a “big baby” and thought I was milking it. At the time, I was working an extremely physical and stressful job and the pain was unbearable. Everything I ate made my sick. Finally, I went to the emergency room when I was unable to have a bowel movement. The doctors poked and prodded and tested and scratched their heads all the while, I was writhing in pain. At no time was I given pain killers because surgery might be possible. After a week of this unbearable pain and torturous testing, I had surgery. A staple from the previous surgery was lodged in my intestines. The recovery was long and painful as well because the surgeon cut a vertical line in my abdomen which made it difficult to move. Missed the #1 worst pain. Trigeminal neuralgia, also called the suicide disease. I've had two lengthy periods where I would get an attack for 20-30 seconds at a time. This is described by the medical community as the maximum pain the human body can generate. Can confirm. Feels like a lightning bolt to the head, being electrocuted. The pain is so intense and horrible it just cannot be described. There are drugs that work for 60% and surgery for the balance. I was able to put it into remission using a Rx vitamin. (The drugs used are pretty bad.)

My sister has diverticulitis and she had to get blood transfusions and be in the hospital for 2 weeks until her blood hemo went back up. It was at like 4.2 or something when she went in. She was losing a lot of blood when she went to the bathroom. You see me if I saw that much blood in the toilet i'd be at the ER bugging the crap outta the docs there to find out what was wrong with me. My sister just drank her worries away. I'm sure the alcohol made the diverticulitis worse.

I've had kidney stones a few times and they were very painful. One was so bad that they had to destroy it with a laser and put a stint in to keep my tract open. But that was not the worst pain I've been through. The worst I've experienced was necrotic pancreatitis. Basically the small end of my pancreas had died and was rotting off and was so infected that it was infecting other body parts and they were discussing removing my pancreas and spleen, I refused and luckily the antibiotics finally started working and I recovered. It felt like someone was cutting my gut open and then grinding salt in the open wound and even that doesn't really go far enough to describe how bad the pain was. On top of that most pain comes in waves where it hurts bad for a while then lessens for a while before flaring up again, the pancreatitis was just nonstop flair-up. They had me on morphine for an entire month and it was still more painful than the kidney stones even with the morphine. I broke my foot and tore a ligament in my ankle and I refused to take medication for it because after experiencing the necrotic pancreatitis that pain was nothing and I could easily deal with it. They never could explain how I got the pancreatitis, they asked me about a hundred times how much I drank and refused to believe that I hadn't drank alcohol in about 20 years, about 30 now.

Back in the early 60s I had a series of (not public) eye operations: these were 'modern' experimental procedures for curing my lazy eye. All it did in the end was to leave me with no co-ordination between the eyes and an inability to see in three dimensions. The worst pains that I've ever felt were due to pleurisy in the first instance, and, not quite as bad but still memorable, lifting myself up with a broken shoulder because I was too heavy for the paramedics!!

Please for the love of all things holy look up CRPS (complex regional pain syndrome). Unfortunately it is also known as the suicide syndrome, because of the statics that say 86% of us affected by the syndrome have thought about suicide and about 47% have attempted it. It rates on the Mcgill pain scale as the most painful thing to happen to a human. Most people have never heard of CRPS because it is a very rare disease. Only about 100,000 case in the USA per year. I actually have had 19 kidney stone, 8 surgery's to remove them, 6 stinents inserted, two ruptured disk, a spinal cord stimulator inserted to help with back pain, but nothing prepared me for CRPS. I tripped over my dog and twisted my ankle (really bad sprain), but there is nothing actually wrong with my foot/ankle. The problem now is in my brain. My brain is telling my whole body that my foot is standing in lava, literally. My foot looks blue all the time with about a 74 degree skin temp. And to reiterate there is nothing actually/physically wrong. Its all in the brain. I have had it for 2 years and its a struggle daily. Thanks for your videos i really enjoy it. PS I dont know what I did to piss off god to have all these issues brought down on my head. Lol

Wow I actually experienced one of these. The Torturous Torsion. It really is torturous but after a succesful surgery, everything was back to normal. I think I was insanely lucky, since I walked around with the pain for two days and my marble survived it.

Thank you for bringing up fibromyalgia. It is a very misunderstood and often mocked condition. It took me more than 10 years to get my fibromyalgia diagnosis. We couldn’t figure out my odd symptoms for years, then one of my moms friends who had worked with her as a FF/Paramedic told me before my mom passed away they had talked about fibromyalgia because my moms friend had been having the same symptoms of it and my mom knew about fibro because we had a family history of it. Because of my mom’s recommendation she went to her doctor who was able to finally help her get diagnosed. 10 years later, I posted my frustration on Facebook regarding the doctors being unable to figure out what was wrong with me despite years of testing and odd symptoms (some of which we had no idea were related to fibro) my mom passed away right before my symptoms started to get really bad that would have probably made my mom suspicious that I had it. So my mom helped her friend get diagnosed and start treatment (she is doing much better now thankfully) and she returned the favor 10 years later by helping me get diagnosed. Unfortunately, I only received my diagnosis recently and less than 2 months after i lost my job so my health insurance also went with it. I have a new job unfortunately, I don’t have proper insurance yet so I have not started any treatment for it. Fingers crossed a few more months and i will be able to get back to get back to the doctor and start getting treatment. Fibromyalgia is very miss understood and it breaks my heart hearing peoples stories of people accusing them of faking it, doctors believing it was a myth, and almost no research on the disease until the last 20 years which is basically starting from zero. Hopefully we will see more research done on it in the future.

I too have been diagnosed with fibro. I later found out that i had a sensitivity to certain foods and i had a ton of oxalate crystals in my urine, which in turn meant they were all throughout my body like tiny spears. I am now totally carnivore, Lion Diet, and it helps immensely.

Nice video. On the Lazy Eye condition. This is not the same as strabismus (misalignment of the eyes), however it is a cause of Lazy Eye (aka amblyopia). Lazy eye is a condition where the brain and eye don't work together correctly resulting in blurry vision that cannot be corrected by lenses. Strabismus can be a cause of this because it makes it more difficult for the eyes to work together. Lazy Eye can also be caused by an astigmatism (imperfection of the curvature of the eye) If caught in early childhood the "good" eye can be patched which forces the "bad" eye to work more and this improves the brain eye connection. However patching might not fix the strabismus which could require surgery I have a lazy eye, but perfectly aligned eyes and often see people confusing lazy eye with strabismus so thought I should mention it!

Back in 2021, I was 12 years old at the time and I had twisted my ankle not once not twice but three times in such short time spans. The first time was when I was at my grandma’s new apartment. It was my 2nd time visiting since I helped move furniture into the apartment. It’s one of those apartments where there’s 2 stories and 4 units in each apartment. It also had those stairs which are technically still outside that lead you to the second floor. Well it wasn’t the stairs that was the terror here. I was running like I was trying to get through one of those American Ninja Warrior obstacles, but when I touched the concrete floor, I rolled my left ankle out of nowhere. I rolled it so hard that something in my foot popped out of place and I almost fell. And the pain was so intense I could not afford to move it or else I would feel the wrath. It felt like someone was repeatedly stabbing my foot with a knife. I was like a 2 wheel drive car with one of the axles broken. I was barely mobile. But then a miracle happened. As we were about to leave the apartment, I felt a pop in my foot. The bone that had popped out of place had reconnected. The intense pain stopped after that. But it was still a stiff feeling though, but otherwise I recovered. The next story was when I was at my moms house. My uncle and his friend came over. I was walking down the stairs with stuff in my hands. But out of nowhere, my right ankle this time rolls, I tripped and fell down the steps, thankfully I was like the last 4 steps. If it was the 7th step, I would have more than an injured ankle. Everything flew out my hands and I caught my iPad bouncing around in the air because it had a case on it. This time the pain felt like there was like a flat rock in foot and everytime I bend my foot, it felt like the rock was digging into my ankle. But the pain wasn’t as bad like last time. Again I recovered. Then the 3rd and final time I would twist my ankle was when I was with my other grandparents from my dad’s side where leaving a farm. The parking lot was quite hilly, and because my ankles were was weak as they were, my right ankle once again rolled over. But this time, the pain was mild. And once again, the recovery didn’t take long. Then after that, it was time to end this once and for all. I then started doing ankle exercises and now at age 15, I never had a problem with ankle injuries again.

Thank you for mentioning Fibromyalgia! I have had it for about 10 years now and it cost me my ability to work among other activities. Some have lesser symptoms and others are worse off than me. Its one of those conditions that isnt often taken seriously because its not a visible illness. Thank you so much for including it in this list.

My mum suffers with this aswell unfortunately, she use to struggle getting up and down stairs and she lost so much motivation, she hasn't been able to get a job because of it. My mum use to do Avon and then better ware where she'd be walking and posting leaflets through doors and delivering parcels, she use to bring me and my sis with her and I hated it haha found it completely boring as it could take from 30 mins to a few hours but looking back now I miss it. My mum deffo wouldn't be able to do that now.

You missed out the fun - can cause cancer - symptom. It apparently interferes with the cytokine balance and those are the system in the body that hunts down and deals with abnormal cells.. It's accepted as a autoimmune disease according to modern research... My parents finally got the hint after I went into a cold related muscle seizure - any temperature under 23c for a protracted period and I'm due one, the fun ones are the 3-4 limbs twitching uncontrollably (to the point I'm having difficulty breathing or talking) while some No Hope Service cretin tells me I'm imagining it..

Although this episode is at least 2 y o, I still wanted to include my post. I was a bit shocked to see nobody had posted anything about RSD/CRPS ! RSD, aka Reflex Sympathetic Dystrophy, or Complex Regional Pain Syndrome is literally a medical condition of pain that is non stop. I developed mine from a crushing injury 1999 which spread through my entire body. Unfortunately it changed my life making things more difficult than I ever imagined. There is hardly a minute that I'm not thinking of pain. oh yes, there is no cure. You can also develop RSD from seemingly fairly common things, a shot or blood draw. a sprain or strain, an accident, operation, even a heart attack. A common theme is when an injury should be healed, and isn't. Cool breezes. light touch, turning the page of a newspaper, vibrations like leaf blowers or wood chippers. It is agony ! My hope is perhaps 1 person will recognize these symptoms, and be helped. And, I obtained fibro in the 80's, and although similar, they are not the same thing. There is plenty of good info about RSD out there, please check it out My prayer is to eradicate pain. May you be blessed with healing.

I had ureteral stents in both sides when I was pregnant with my daughter. I had to keep them in until she was born. The pain was so bad, especially with her kicking them and laying on them I went until premature labor an month early. A few weeks after her emergency c section I was in for emergency removal of my right kidney. Out of everything I went thru, nothing hurt as badly as the unrelenting agony of those stents, especially during the third trimester. I didn’t have them removed until they took my kidney and even though I’d already given birth, they were excruciating. The bloody urine never stopped and I felt them almost all the time, even when the pain let up for short periods I was still aware of their presence. They saved the life of myself and my daughter, and I’m grateful for that, but seriously, fuck ureteral stents.
