There is some architectural overlap and you helped me significantly in defining what I need out of a space(especially when you talk furniture layout and trade offs). 1) Penn Station was once a grand palace of a train hall- rivalling those in Moscow and Paris! That art you saw was a small part of how beautiful it once was. It was done dirty by the Robert Moses gang, and I am so happy to see that it is being revived. 2) That apartment is actually NOT BAD for the layout and where it is. It would be great for two people with a starter business (smallest bedroom being an office) or a hipster couple who won't give up the neighborhood!

I would argue the Penn in Newark (which is being renovated) is better than the depressing New York Penn Station. Also when you consider the new Moynihan extension is only for LIRR the new Penn Station has limited use. Most of us still use the 70's plastic era New York Penn..

In the first 30-40 videos I watched I thought he was making a joke about kitchen sprayers and medicine cabinets. I think he seriously considers them a big deal. But when bedrooms are the size of walk-in closets, well... My bigest shock came when what he called a three-bedroom apartment only had ONE bathroom. For three people? Really makes me appreciate the 2 1/2 bathrooms in my two-bedroom townhouse.

Although these day,s as someone who is retired, I would probably pick a nice area of Brooklyn instead of the Village where I used to live since I don't have any particular time I have to be somewhere. The mass transportation in Fayetteville NC sucks.

Good Luck on your interview, I’m looking forward to watching the video about your and your success. To answer a question, you didn’t actually ask... My late husband was an ironworker and the reason everything is takes a “long time” at Penn Station, if the worker’s tools aren’t actually being stolen the supplies are! Also, the construction workers are constantly having to chase away homeless people or catching thieves in the act! If these vandals aren’t stealing stuff, they seem to enjoy destroying it for fun or urinating all over it.

I used to dream of living in NYC, but every time I see how old and antiquated the subway looks, I’m grateful to live where I do now… obviously it’s not perfect, but here in China, they’re incredible at putting public transport together fast and well. I take a train from my small town into Hangzhou and marvel… however, we do NOT have Reese’s Krispy Kreme donuts where I live 🍩😭😭😭

Man, I have never commented, but I've been watching these for a year from Brooklyn. They're part of my pandemic mental health. And the moment it's time to move, Cash Jordan is my go to.

So easy to cook...doesn't have to be fancy. Start with basics. Yeah..real bummer that the old Penn station was demolished in the sixties to make way for the new MSG. Grand Central almost suffered the same fate but Jacqueline Kennedy Onasis fought hard to restore it and it is a treasure.

You didn't seem frazzled during the interview but I fully understand where you're coming from Cash - but no worries you held it down like the pro you always are !! As further testament to my observation- it was business as usual after you finished the interview!! Kudos for that because most people would have headed directly back to the office or home and called it a day! Instead you toured the next apt ! 🤭 Cash your viewers love the fact you're such a trooper!! 👍 I did like the living room it was huge yet full of light and kit layout blended in so well even without all the bells and whistles landlords are putting in their unit kitchens these days; and you're correct the bathroom was nothing to rave about but at least there was a tub and I feel with a written appeal to the owner requesting permission to paint or re-tile the entire bathroom would be acceptable long as tenant made it clear they would bear all expenses for the desired upgrade, my advice to tenant is to get owner's answer, rules for changing his property, and if he will require tenant restore the room to it's original color upon vacating the unit - all needs to be clarified in writing, this way there will be no discrepancy regarding the full deposit being returned in full on move out day or shortly thereafter! Statement you made about some tenants are more concerned with what's IN the neighborhood versus what's INSIDE the unit is something very true!! And more so in NYC, a place of very distinctive neighborhoods, each with unique vibes, entertainment relevant to that area; also certain types of people will flock to each particular community for the character of that area!! To some degree it matters to me what's in a neighborhood but not to the point where I will accept a unit I think is lacking in some way just to have close proximity to things that I can live with or without; exception being close to the train ! But then I'm somewhat older than a large portion of your viewers and when youre young, physically healthy, carefree, childless, have an exorbitant amount of disposable income well it's completely normal your priority for FUN, DATING, GENERAL SOCIALIZING ETC WILL BE AT A HIGHER LEVEL THAN YOUR ELDERS!! The beds in this unit were a hot mess! Third room can only be used as a small guest room or office, first bed is not much better but that second room is the best of the three and for those that do roomies this will cause friction for sure! The fight will be worth it- for the person who gets the most desired room!! Ha!!,😂

It looks like most of the buildings in New York city run off the old school boiling heating system. Where I'm from we just had those in school. I guess it's probably the most efficient way to heat large buildings huh? Those old boilers seem to break down a bit too often though. Good videos though man!!! Just discovered you so im binging!!

It's partially because they're efficient but more because it's really expensive to rip it all out and replace in an old building

Finally getting to watch Cash... I feel so much better. I have actually been to Penn Station. Love Krispy Kreme. Isn’t Penn Station near Madison Square Garden??? It has been a few years since I have been in NYC. I feel better seeing th Cash video. 133k - awesome. It think you were at 131k yesterday. When I started watching you in Late 2020, I think you were in the 60k range. Cash is moving on up!!!

That clock at 1:15 looks like it's been there since the 80s and hasn't been replaced! Nothing wrong with that in itself but I wonder how old much of NYC's existing/not replaced yet infrastructure actually is.

Penn station probably looks no different from any other major terminus undergoing renovation, and all of us who live in cities have our own gripes with the public transport system. @4:20, putting the kitchen in an alcove is a good idea and I would put up a floor to ceiling screen across the front to hide it. However, it is not nearly big enough to accommodate the number of potential co-tenants. @5:52, too small. By the time you get your bed in there, you won't be able to open the cupboard doors. The bathroom is horrific and I don't see the landlord spending a significant amount of money to modernise. It is also completely inadequate to cater the the number of people that could be living in the flat. The landlord is banking on the draw of the area and it will probably pay off.
