@@MossEYE- it doesn't say not allowed. it just says it has to be labeled as such. 99% of companies don't want to pay to get their shit certified so they put the sticker that says it'll cause cancer instead. You have 2 options. Pay the jews their shekels so you don't have to put the cancer warning, or put the cancer sticker on ur shiet. It has nothing to do with if the item in question will even cause cancer or not.

I used to love hanging drywall. It's the stage when the homeowner can really see their dreams taking shape. The only hanging job I absolutely hated was when my crew had to hang and fire tape a 7 story elevator shaft. The car hadn't been built yet, only the platform and it wasn't powered yet so e had to go up and down using a chian fall.

Whoever framed that should have accounted for the variance in the flooring and such, and created a plumb/ level frame job. Obviously, you can't control that unless you're doing everything. It does suck about remodels is you're dealing with other people's work, and sometimes people do really crazy stuff that makes no sense. I really don't like finishing drywall, and (probably) why I've never gotten the hang of it

I am a self-employed handyman in my area and it's about the only time that I need to ask for a buddy to help me do a job. Other than that, drywalling is as satisfying to do as a lot of other jobs that I am doing all year long. Congrats on that closet cause it was quite challenging with everything off-angle. I've been taping and finishing drywall for about 10 years or so. There comes a point where when your done finishing and tight skimming. You have very little sanding to do. Good 40 dollar respirator and a rotary sander with a fine dust bag and vacuum. Makes sanding not so bad.
@manofinterests334
@manofinterests334 2 жыл бұрын
@@sethdistler5332 I've gotten to the place where sanding is done with a sanding sponge after the final skim coat and it's mainly just a light pass on the raw-paper/tight knife edges and the lap lines where you pull the knife off in the middle of a run. That being said, I still haven't figured out how to get rid of the pinhole problem when mudding a patch in on a painted surface. And sometimes it's really bad in lightweight or topping mud applied over setting compound which I use to tape with.
@michaeldelp8089
@michaeldelp8089 2 жыл бұрын
You can actually do mud with very little sanding start out everything normal but as the mud is getting to where it's still just a little damp but not super pliable take one of those yellow sponges that a lot of people use for doing grout get it wet wring it out fairly well so it's still just a little damn go over the mud in small circular motions it'll pull from the high feeling in the low, you only have to send the last set of mud just real quickly with a real fine sandpaper is essentially almost dustless
