6:01 Well, I have a feeling most of the cartridge space is used for all of the Fatality animations, which are all FMV cutscenes. It's amazing for the Game Boy to handle FMVs like this, but the later Game Boy platforms can handle FMVs better, and in living color. Cannon Fodder and Kingdom Hearts: Chain of Memories come to mind.

Good job starting off on your chanel. One thing I'll say- if you're gonna review games this bad that defy words? Try to avoid falling into the "It plays like shit" trap. or "It absolutely sucks" - If you're gonna rage review get creative with the language. Or follow it up with some qualitative statements about that shittiness. Like instead of "It plays like shit." being the line you build up to- make it the starting line and build up to something that really expresses how bad the gameplay is. You have great satisfying structure to the videos and great editing. Glad you're building a fan base. Cheers.

Don't make excuses for them. Killer Instinct and Street Fighter Alpha had great ports by 8-bit standards. A pure 2D MK4 demake could have worked.

I played Sub-Zero for this port, and I spammed the move slide to have the opponent getting damage knock-back continuously. It was cheap move and I beat everyone except Fujin since I fight Reptile. I made a video on my channel called "Mortal Kombat 4 (GBC) The Easiest way to Beat the Game Showcase" this shows how cheap this move is and the opponent or AI can't beat me.

shinnok is playable in this version by using cheat devices. you can find the code on the cutting room floor. he is a complete character and even has a fatality if i remember correctly

This channel is very promising, I am glad I subbed. Really good editing right out the gate is a good sign. Are you self taught? Im looking forward to you covering Mythologies and Special Forces should you continue to cover bad MK games. Unless you will be focusing on awful ports in general.

Yes, I am self taught. Turns out that Davinci Resolve is really beginner friendly and lots of people make really easy-to-follow videos about how to use it on KZbin. I’m definitely gonna cover Mythologies and Special Forces in the future but I gotta find a series name other than “Worst Ports” for those types of games and I definitely want to expand past just doing bad ports of video games and cover more broader and/or hidden topics too.

The color issues probably come from that fact that you are looking at the game from a modern monitor compared to the non backlit screen of the GBC. Many GBC and GBA games have brighter colors to make up for the lack of a backlight. Also the GBC at base only had three colors plus transparency to work with per sprite and look like they only are using a few palletes for fighters; probaly should have used the space the FMVs took up for more palletes.

Would be interesting to see Mythologies PlayStation VS N64 both sucked hard! Could have fun with unofficial ports of games like Mythologies for the Sega Genesis as well. At it's worst though still not a competition. The Portable MK games still out did mythologies in level of pure suckatude with ease.

This game to me is so bad that is good, I might consider laughing and make fun of it. There is a Super Game Boy Support there, and you're not missing much, it's ass with lesser color per screen, and also a lame-ass border.
