NEW EDIT: Team6 has changed their name, now known as Fusion Interactive! I do want to mention that the games I showed in this video aren't the only games Team6 has made. The ones I showed was because they were games I could easily get my hands on, and also I wanted to pick games and brands that people might be familiar with (hence FlatOut, Monster Jam, and Street Outlaws). If you want to see a full list, check out their Wikipedia page for more garbage games: en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Team6_Game_Studios

I did an internship at Team6 for a year. They barely focussed on the physics or gameplay, it just had to look good (wich it didnt), idk about the budgets but the deathlines were very short. It was also a very very small team, like 5 that actually worked there and 3/4 trainees. the engine that they were using was also very poorly designed and very outdated. although I did enjoy working there!

Godspeed Team6 you glorious mfs, releasing crappy cheap arcade racers like 2007 never ended. SCS Software eventually made ETS2 after almost two decades of shovelware, and i hope Team6 will have its hour.

@carnicorp2 жыл бұрын
Great video! I'm glad you didn't tear them a new one. Honestly I think Team 6 should be more open to feedback from fans, grow and earn a fan base a listen to feedback. I mean who are they making games for atm? They tried hard with Taxi Chaos but I guess other factors didn't allow them to get any further than the Crazy Taxi template. Road Rage and Super Street could have been fun, but have 0 progression and 0 direction. Monster Jam games sadly are one button games and honestly could be ported to mobile.... That said, I'm kinda curious, if you were every able to make like, feedback video/review with tips on how a next interaction of a series would look like, what would you say to them?
@GamerAlexVideos2 жыл бұрын
There is honestly a lot I could say to them, but I would have to address it as a game-by-game basis. It's easy to say that 'the physics sucks' for most of their games, but that means different things for different games. That also goes for the type of game they are aiming for. One arcade racer might need totally different physics than a different styled arcade racer. If I ever got the chance to talk to Team6, I would love to because I can see the potential they have, but they just cannot do it because of a lack of effort and care.
@starshape6650 Жыл бұрын
It really is an achievement that after over 2 decades in the gaming industry they haven't made a single good game, not one. It feels like there isn't a single drop of passion in that studio. If it wasn't for FlatOut 3 really putting them in the public eye (which i guess is the only good thing about it), no one would know they even existed. And it's pretty sad that the best thing you can say about them after 22 years is that their games are a bit less broken now. Super Street was the closest they got to ok, but they really fumbled that one in so many regards. Despite handling improvements the physics were still poor, the uninteresting maps (they all look like asset flips, which they probably are), the uninspired soundtrack (with one or two exceptions), only being able to own one car in the career mode, and said car designs being poor which really limited how much you could appreciate the customization.
@MastermindAtWork2 жыл бұрын
Out of all the games shown. Super Street looks like it has the most effort put into it and Speed 1&2 looks very fun to play.
@racedriver433 жыл бұрын
You know and it's funny you can look at some of these games and go "wow, this wouldn't be half bad if they put some more effort into it". Very controversial opinion of mine, but I actually enjoyed Flatout Wii quite a bit and while I don't think they should've got Bugbear's engine, I think being that it ended up in their hands they were one of the few companies to have the balls to do anything other than what Flatout 4 did, basically a mediocre mockery of the original gameplay and style. Though this being said between the other like 10 shitheaps in dev alongside it as well as the lack of a PC port, (yet Glacier 3 got one? why) it gets really undermined in the hierarchy of Team6's stomachable products. It at the very least vaguely resembles Flatout and while it's missing a few core elements, some of which were a big part of the series (drivers in cars, good damage, etc), it just barely manages to stand on its own feet as a Flatout game, just not really a good one. And yet only a year later its younger brother FO3 hits the surface and proves itself to be one of the worst games imaginable to the racing genre, let alone the well deserved beatdown it got by fans and even non fans of the series. Completely random fun fact about FO Wii, likewise to the Bugbear titles, unique drivers are present that always use a certain car and skin and randomize spawns each race. The file for all the drivers is still leftover in the files of Flatout 3. Super Street was one that I kinda had some hope in and even after a couple updates they ironed out some problematic stuff but the game got shafted SO hard. I remember being in the Discord server for it and over time people would have to bug the devs for literally any info of which they were said to be working out another update but went radio silent before it ever hit the surface. Which funny thing is, the game that came out right after, that terrible Street Outlaws game was by a completely different division of Team6 which means that it was most likely different devs of the studio, or maybe a couple that would've been shared. It was beyond disappointing to see any potential the game had wittle away slowly into nothingness for yet another game which was just shovelware garbage, go figure, just like most of their other games. While I do loathe Flatout 3 with every shred of my existence, I still would really be interested in seeing its development cycle, especially spotting the tipping point where the game went from FO Wii on PC with some new content to "what if we crammed in everything imaginable". Glacier 2 seems alright though likewise to Flatout Wii as well I hear is insanely short and riddled with strange physics bugs. (Surprise to who?) Wonder how different things would be if Team 6 didn't shove out so many games in such a short span every year.

I was able to get hold of a copy of Manhattan Chase (2005). The game was not that horrible but how can you forget to put a key to look back in a car game? Also it's probably one of the few Team6 games which incorporates a FPS part.

Super Street Racer was the best of all of them. The team actually tried their hardest to make a progression based arcade street racer AND the amount of customization you can do with a rusted stock car with licensed cosmetics from Super Street. But somewhere in the development, the seem to have gave up and realized they can't make promises. I still remember the interview T6 had gotten about the game and the guy in the video wasn't even 100% sure the game was gonna be good and have everything everyone wanted in the game. Overall, I enjoyed it and got weirdly addicted to it that I am almost 100% done with the game. I come back to it time to time and had fun with it just to unlock and complete everything.

I do agree that Super Street: The Game is the best Team6 game, but it definitely still falls short in so many ways. I still can't get over the ridiculously bad Crash cutscenes like why even include them? So many boneheaded design choices.

I prefer Gas Guzzlers more because the Lamborghini aventador car (The Macho) always flew in my head 2.1. I even prefer Burnout 3: Takedown (along with Revenge And Dominator) and crash time than Full Auto And Gas Guzzlers 3. Is HW Unleashed And Forza Horizon 5 still better than speed 3? 4. Do you prefer 1.0 Or The Ultimate Box More? 5. Is Glacier that bad as Madout?
@GamerAlexVideos3 жыл бұрын
1. I prefer Gas Guzzlers as I really like weaponized vehicular combat games. There is just more depth to the gameplay of Gas Guzzlers verses the Crash Time games except for Crash Time 5, as that game has weaponized combat as well, which is quite fun. 2. I prefer Full Auto. I prefer how the combat and the world design is in the Full Auto series, but Gas Guzzlers is still really good. 3. Speed 3 is like one of the worst modern racing games I've played. Hot Wheels Unleashed and Forza Horizon 5 are way better than Speed 3. 4. For Burnout Paradise, I would say I prefer 1.0 more because it was before Criterion goofed up the game by unnecessarily changing core elements of the game. 5. I'd said Glacier is about as bad as MadOut, so it really is Team6's version of MadOut lol
