This documentary showcases the mind boggling takata airbag scandal that has caused over 100 million vehicles and over 30 deaths and 400 plus injuries.
even though takata was aware of the problems around their airbags they chose to put money ahead of lives and manufactured airbags that were faulty. they were charged and fined when they pleaded to wire fraud charges. they filed for bankruptcy and were sold to key safety systems who renamed them joyson safety systems, but jss had its fare share of airbags recalls as well and now arc and delphi are both projected to suffer a scandal close to or bigger than takatas scandal

great video dytastic! my takata airbags hit me in the face october 29th 2022. when I totaled my BMW 328i. I got lucky and they completely saved my face! still got a nasty concussion though, but that was from the 40-0 energy transfer. to this day I am extremely grateful my airbags worked as they were supposed to that day.

Hi, I'm excited to see this video! Apart from that, here are some documentaries ideas I have: ● different documentaries on the story of big car brands (GM Ford Toyta Dodge Honda and Etc) ● the story of Supercar Blondie (I like her old content, but not her new on, it is trash. Her story is a real passionating story and I feel like it cannot be a car documentary channel without talking about her) ● How german car commpanies killed 3.4 million people using engineering (I've never really known much about it, but I would be interested in you making a documentary on it) ● The story of Zora (Just, a good story) ● The secret of Toyota's reliability ● The big airbags recall of 2016-2018 (you know when close to 50 million airbags as been recalled?)(seems like this video is it) I hope the quality of the content will be as great as when you we're making honnest commercials!

You wished for feedback so here you go! It’s a cool type of videos! I never really watched car-based history/science/knowledge (you know what I mean) videos so I’ll probably spent some time here. I don’t really have any negative feedback. It was informative and good edited! I have one small thing, which is probably just me: the text and imagine pop-in (not the background but the text or pngs on top of it) is not so cool. Maybe add like a 0,1s appearance time so it still pops in but not so fast. So as you see there really is no real criticism from me. Keep on going!

The reason there were "only" 38 (not 24 anymore because some owners did not participate in the recall for various reasons) deaths is because emergency services are much more effective than in the 60s. I can tell you that 1 death caused by faulty safety equipment is a disgrace to... well, safety. 1 injury should already be a cause for concern anyway.
