Pahkitew Island imo was definitely the laziest and easily the worst season by far. Technically All Stars did much worse things, but it didn’t screw up its potential nearly as bad as Pahkitew island did. All of the characters are forgettable and generally unlikeable, none of the characters got any meaningful development, and worst of all, it was boring. I believe that something can be objectively terrible, but can still be enjoyed, but when something is boring, that’s when you’ve hit rock bottom. That, in my opinion, is why Pahkitew Island is the worst.

I think the creators spent too much time focusing on literally making an animated Survivor series that they forgot what made TDI stand out from just being called an "animated Survivor". Same with Ridonculous Race as "animated TAR". I'm surprised they hadn't touched on using elements from The Apprentice to carry a new season because a lot of the concepts and interrogation tactics used in that show would've brought a new factor into Total Drama and continued this underlying aspect.

I was deep DEEP in the total drama fandom from about 2011-2015. I was around for the premiere of Pahkitew Island, watched it in French before the English episodes came out, etc...and as a longtime fan you really put it in a way that I think the fandom has been struggling to since it’s release. TDPI was criminally underwhelming. Also season 3 is literally the best without contest lmfao. (I’m an 01 baby, but my sibling is an 04 baby like you and also loved total drama growing up! this season should've been season 5, with the season 4 cast, the plot is that because of the smaller budget they had to split the season, they get a second chance to win the million and the winner gets the chance for another million, this time they have to build the island and a part of a bigger plan from later on, and season 6 would be the old cast and new cast competing for their longest season with 3 teams, and things like Ezekiel not being eliminated first, and alliances like Alejandro taking Justin under his wing and showing him how to use his looks and not worry about getting dirty or hurt which was what led to his elimination is season 2, A rivalry between Jo and Eva that leads to it getting more tense, Dawn and Ezekiel having a relationship which leads him getting way further. The teams would be 3 teams with the classic teams being split into 2 teams of 12, The first time would be Owen Cody Sierra Katie and Sadie Ezekiel Izzy Noah Tyler Eva Duncan and Harold called the crazed bears. Team 2 would be Alejandro Leshawna Lindsey Beth Justin Heather Courtney DJ Gwen Geoff Bridgette Trent called the Soaring Pythons. Team 3 would be the season 4 cast now going by the Toxic Mutants. All guys would share one cabin and all girls would share the other cabin so the old and new can know each-other leading to tension alliances and even relationships which will boost ratings, the team that comes in dead last will go to the elimination ceremony where they will vote off one of their fellow teammates, The people who are safe will receive an arrowhead, whoever doesn't get an arrowhead will be forced to take the sling of shame. The winning team will be rewarded for winning with whatever and the 2nd place team gets to sulk and wonder what went wrong but at least take consolation in the fact that they didn't completely lose. For the first elimination ceremony, It's the Crazed bears who came dead last, the arrow heads go to Harold Tyler Izzy Noah Owen Katie Sadie Eva Duncan Cody. The last 2 without an arrowhead are Ezekial and Sierra, the music picks up, the tension rises, Zeke is about to star hyperventilating, Sierra starts to sweat, the camera zooms in on the arrowhead, Ezekial closes his eyes in fear, he is shaking, then Chris decides..... and says "Ezekial?! wait really, well okay, here you go buddy. They ruined Mike! I like how they tried to make him get rid of his MPD, but I loved that part about him the most. If he didn't have that, I would probably hate his guts. I also don't like Chester's face and voice, even though I know he was supposed to be an 'Irritable old man' character. He is also a CANADIAN (from what I had read on Mike's Wiki) They should have made him nicer. Vito was slightly cringy, and Manitoba is just sexist. Mal was stupid, and Svetlana was likable. Out of Pahkitew, I did like some of the cast despite how little development they got. I genuinely liked Ella and Im sad she was so HARD pushed into a disney princess role. Just give her a normal outfit and a tiny tiny bit less singing and I would put her on my top 10 of TD characters. In terms of looks tho, I like how they all look in general just sucks so many neat designs had to be wasted so badly. Hey, maybe in the new seasons they'll actually make them interesting without the need for new characters.

I feel like the whole cinematic universe revolves around practically parodying the CBS reality comps in their own unique ways until they ran out of already existing shows to work off of. Island was obviously based on Survivor, but they also took on making Action into a crazier version of Big Brother (show on a parking lot/fake set), and World Tour as a more dragged out version of The Amazing Race until they went a bit too literally with Ridonculous Race which even felt like a watered-down season of an actual TAR season. Almost every other season after that felt like they took the show too literally from reality.

For example, at the end of Total Drama Action, Duncan won canonically, but there would be an "after party" airing where they'd show Beth winning as an alternate ending/what-if scenario.

Instead of both Amy and Samey were blasted out of the cannon in the same episode, have Amy rejoin the game on the Floating Salmons and switch Samey to the Confused Bears so that they can compete against each other. They could both possibly make it to the final 8 (I sadly would have the merge at the final 9 so that is Dave unfortunately there). The challenge could be one where they're all split into 4 teams of two, with Amy and Samey end up as a team. During the challenge they actually get closer to each other as sisters but (so she actually does something villainous before her god awful reveal) Scarlet costs them the challenge right at the end, winning it for herself and her partner. Amy and Samey are the final two at the elimination ceremony but it's a double elimination.
