They are bad but besides no.1 still not Churchill level bad in my opinion, you still can make them work

I have HMS Churchill. It is pain. Just a few questions: Is HMS Montgomery any better? Is SAP any good is HE spam just better? Nice video, I appreciate your suffering for us.

Montgomery is way better besides AA protection. SAP works pretty much the same as HE spam. Thanks I appreciate you enjoying my suffering

Definately needs to be used as a rear line AA Ship. Treat her as a Frigate rather than a DD as with only one 4 inch gun she is hopelessly outclassed in Ship to Ship engagements. Her 20mm Oerlikans should be useful against Coastals. The Town Class was the Wickes Class in the US Navy and were commissioned in 1918 and so were quite outdated.

The biggest problem that Churchill has is that even with your proposal she has no place in WT. Rear line AA ship when you deal with 2 planes at most is out of the question as the game won't give you any rewards nor you'll have any enjoyment because AI gunners have way better aim than you do. Frigates tend to mostly work better because they still have more guns or have better armor and crew layout. Town class might be outdated, but so does most of the reserves: Clemson class - Interwar period Leopard - Interwar period Momi - Interwar period It's not about the time when they were commisioned, it's about the design as whole and retrofits that such ship went underway. Take Garland for example, in the game she's in her escort retrofit while she can still be way more useful as a normal surface to surface combat ship
