I'm sure you've heard the saying.... That you let out the Magic Smoke and the Magic Smoke is what makes it work once you let out it doesn't work anymore! Yeah yeah I know I'm going to get Flack for that! It's been done to death it's been brought up so many to many a gazillion whatever times you want to say but still it's accurate well at least in whatever device to start smoking like this chances are he's not going to work at least a portion of it. Sometimes it's just one part other times a whole bunch of things doing it once! Such as when a power supply decides to have a bad day AKA fails kind of like certain ones from Commodore computer and others that are well known for this. That even though say the voltage should be 5 Volt or 12 volts when the power supply goes bad the voltage will rise catastrophically and pop is sizzles there you go! Instead of Who Let the Dogs Out it should be who let the magic smoke out I wouldn't be surprised if there was someone that did something like that anyways soaps or parody Or came up with it while they're doing a video

By the way I've seen it in speakers go ballistic intentionally personally one of my old buddies had some bunch of old speakers El cheapos things out devices and all and just wanted to send some of them to their maker as in the ones that Willy. Worth anything or not worth saving or that they were shot in the first place and basically would be useless for repurposing for other projects! Also he did Marisa blow to magnets out of some of them! And even blow the occasional speaker cone Sky High! Put this way we were a good safe distance. Not sure I've been so long ago how he was able to accomplish this I have a feeling it involves a lot of voltage at lot of current. And sometimes there was well a little too much and well before the speaker let out the smoke or did anything there was no connection between the voice coil and the speaker terminals or immediately obliterated the wires going to the voice coil the small weeds that actually connects to the flexible connections to the speaker terminals one I think of the cheapest speakers it seems almost like at least part of the voice coil have been vaporized there was just grew this where those wires ran along the speaker tone no trace of any wire there it was just gone at least one a cone caught fire! And I do know at least some of them he put 60 hertz a see-through at more than enough voltage and current to to no matter what that speaker was going to be in pieces if nothing else. It seems like 60 Hurst was a sweet spot for seed speaker destruction as well or at least the way he did it pretty sure or somewhere there's a VHS tape out there still with this on it I don't think he's around anymore these days older gentleman even when I was young. Also I want up harvesting some refrigerator magnets I asked him if I could answer the maintenance he said yeah I've got plenty take what you want. He also gave me some magnets from other things and even a giant one that I want up using for my neck retrieval tool in the basement shop used an old plunger that had a crack in it and just cut the top portion glued that to a large magnet covered in electrical tape nice little tool that could also fit a broom-handle wish I still had it there's a big old ring magnet that fit that almost perfectly. I think if I remember someone dropped it and broke the magnet is what was the end of it never did find one big enough to replace it no clue what it came from!. Generally would not want to mess around with a magnetron from a microwave either one thing you have beryllium present so be careful if you ever do harvesting in magnets or otherwise or even trying to strip out when the Transformers just be very careful. It's not just a high-voltage in the capacitors and so on net can cause you trouble! Although something rather interesting if the magnets are removed from a magnetron it will not produced microwaves however it becomes a high-voltage diode there are videos on this for those that would be qualified to do something with it be careful out there

True there are actually a lot of these type of speakers in things at the dollar stores but yeah I know what you're saying about the in a joking mood but seriously! Also deliver not there are a lot of things they're worth getting at the dollar store for other projects for modifying things order parts for other projects there are some things that actually are worth buying and using as is but it's Hit or Miss at best but once you know what's what it's worth going either way. Just like those little lights and all that are LED those are quite useful for lighting projects for various things use them all the time and actually underwrite use they worked well and last a very long time of course you need to know what you're doing proper current limiting and so on and so forth sometimes even changing values of resistors and so on and so forth

That was pretty cool, only speaker I want to see that happen to. probably 20 years ago I had a free air 12 mounted in my trunk going into the cabin behind the seat. Me and a friend were out riding around it was a 400 watt speaker and I was using a 200 w amp that bridged put out 400 the gain was only halfway I wasn’t pushing it hard, the bass just stopped. I pulled over popped the trunk and saw smoke coming out of the hole in the center of the speaker. I replaced it with a 1200 watt amp and a couple of 12s that could handle the power. I pushed them hard. They made the wipers jump on the windshield.

it didnt, the speaker's glue rotted a long time ago due to weather. that liquid is water since i got it from a toy that was left exposed to weather for like a decade or so.
