Yea, I think this is a fair review. It’s out of the creators hands when the production is delayed, but it’s their responsibility to provide regular updates to the customers, especially when the timeline is behind. I bought a bag and it took about a year too (some people waited even longer than me), and after lots of silence the created announced they were taking preorders for a new bag. It’s pretty unprofessional to make a new preorder when the last one hasn’t been fulfilled.

Yeah I’m completely on board or say it is out of their hands with production but 100% agree with the updates being provided even if it is just something so simple to say ‘I’m sorry I have no updated as of yet but they are still in production in the factory and as soon as I know anything I’ll let youse know’ just to give me that little bit of reassurance! That’s what frustrated me I think there was 2 new ita bags she released on Kickstarter while this one was being made now they are smaller but if she has time to promote them and create the design than as far as I’m concerned there is also time to leave a basic update even just once a month or so to let us know what’s happening🙈 honestly thank you for watching and commenting I appreciate it!!

Update: she is now getting part of the last 500 orders totally wrong, sending people wrong coloured bags, inserts and even missing parts of the order out! at thi spoint she is just throwing stuff out to be done with it quicker, shocking service from her and shes not even replying no more but is still active on her Boba kickstarter

As a huge Ita bag fan (I've had quite a few) and a big fan of Stami Studios, I am so disappointed to see the quality of these Ita bags! I think you were justified in being very disappointed. I know wait time wise I bought from a UK seller on kick starter and it took 14 months to arrive. However I got regular updates and the pandemic is what slowed that down. But at the end I received a beautiful bag. To have no updates and then a bag with that low finish on it, I don't blame you for being angry with it! I've seen a lot of people who have been disappointed. I hope they decide to do something for the people who are unhappy with this bag as I saw the price and it defo wasn't pocket money price!

Thank you for sharing this and I don’t think you were too harsh at all! I was one of the first 100 backers and I’m STILL waiting for my bag, and after seeing all the reviews on Kickstarter about it I definitely no longer want it. The quality doesn’t seem worth it at all. I used to be a huge fan of Stami, I’ve got her Pokemon ita bag and quite a few of her pins. I was subscribed to her Patreon when she was making every Pokemon pin, it then changed one day to be something totally different! I had to go digging into discord servers to find that she’d been hit with a message from Nintendo to stop making them. I understand it must have been upsetting for her, but to not even bother being honest to Patrons about what happened and why the change really rubbed me the wrong way. I shouldn’t have to go digging deep into old discord messages to find the reason when I’m paying you monthly! Suddenly lots of people were paying for a pin RPG they had no interest in. At this point I’m going to be surprised if the bag even arrives. There are also so many things not adding up: she said that 3 weeks after receiving the shipments that they were 45% of the way through mailing them out. They’ve now had the bags 6 weeks so surely that would mean they’re almost done by now? But apparently there’s still delays. It just seems dodgy. And I agree that setting new kickstarters when you haven’t even fulfilled this one isn’t good! Stami has done 4 more kickstarters since this one. Surely you’d wait until you sorted out this one to start more projects? I honestly think Stami over did it with how many panels and colours there are and it just got out of control, but I’d be a lot happier if she admitted there were problems and communicated better!

Yeah I completely agree I have a lot of her items and thought it was a reputable business but I am gutted that I was so wrong about her😔 Yeah I wish she wasn’t so ambitious and maybe released panels at a later date when she had perfected them rather than such a big Kickstarter and then making these horrible bags I haven’t used mine once since I got it and I know I never will it’s just so sad😔❤️

I was trying to find someone talking about this because I recieved mine yesterday and I'm also disappointed. The studs showing up on the front isn't great, there's some panels with paint overspill. The biggest issue is the panels don't properly fit, they bulge out on the side and some snaps come undone because of that fact, making it almost defective. The insert pad material also shows up the pin marks very clearly so it looks tatty very quickly. Another thing was that the prototypes and photos on the website have stitching on the front which makes it look way more sturdy and professional. But the actual bags we got don't have the stitching so they look cheap. And it's false advertising. The only responses from the creator have been to instruct us on how to try and fix the bag to make the panels not stick out, and making excuses. For the money and wait you shouldn't have to fix it yourself. And they've also made a point of telling people that because it's a Kickstarter there aren't refunds so... yeah I very much agree with you it sucks to wait so long for this, especially because it cost so much (for me it was $80 Canadian)

I can completely understand being frustrated waiting a whole year to get a bag. Usually Kickstarter bags take like max 6 months and creators are much better about communicating any issues causing delays even if it’s just hey stuffs still in production sorry for the delays. The name tag being upside down and other issues should have been inspected and she definitely should not have sent out a bag like that. I didn’t see the original Kickstarter last year but I’ve been debating ordering it online to be delivered after all the Kickstarter orders get delivered and I’m glad I didn’t. I live in the US and it would have been like $100 to get a set delivered here. Thank you for this really honest review. I don’t think you would have been as harsh if they had communicated more or even just apologized with a nice note inside the box. (Also there was like no cushioning inside that package to make prevent damage to the bag or the bag covers. How they’re not super bent to hell is amazing to me.)

As a small business that handmakes Itabags I can't believe it takes 12 months to get it to you. Most of my customers wait 12 weeks - 16 at the most for a bag that I make. I could never take money from a customer and make them wait that long!

I got mine last week and I have to say, I'm disappointed. It was a birthday gift, and it looks smaller than the pictures she showed us, it looks cheap, and it doesn't appear to be very strong. When you said your stami studios metal plaque was upside down, I grabbed mine to look, and thankfully mine wasn't, but the inside pocket was crooked :| plus the front poppers don't exactly fit the ones on the front panels, and the one strap I got is shorter than promised. I decided to go to the Kickstarter page tonight and the comments page is full of people saying theirs also had problems, several people have has theirs rip, and that they can't get refunds. Idk, I'm afraid to use mine now in case it rips, which sucks because I was so excited for this bag.

I'm glad I didn't buy this bag. I've seen a lot of people complaining about the quality. Same can be said about Peachiie Shop's ita jackets. They're poor quality.

Oof wow, I still don’t even have my bag yet 🙃 Looks like my $120 bags have now become a 5 hour sewing project to get some stitching in there. I couldn’t believe it when I saw a new Kickstarter for a new bag when me and so many people haven’t gotten anything yet. Definitely not being too harsh; if this is too much work for Stami, she needs to cap preorders at a certain point that’s still manageable. I’m missing 3 panels and 2 squish plushies, and I had to do surgery on my inserts to rip out that weird foam cushion in them (it was too thick to put pins through). I’m most disappointed by the fact that I thought they said you could wear it as a backpack and there’s absolutely no way I can since I only got one strap. Maybe I’m remembering wrong though, but I really don’t like purses since I’m a full-on dude. It’s on par with my old ita bag, but that’s not saying much because my old one was $10 and this one was $100. Super big let down. ://

After seeing the upside down tag and the cutting flaws, I don't think it was unfair. It's a lot of money for something you were unhappy with. I went for the black gameboy ita bag from stami studios, and it's my favourite backpack. It's a lot bigger than the one here. the quality has been good with that one, but i think the ita bag you ordered seems to have a bunch of manufacturing flaws.

Cuz I spent around $180 for 2 bags (EARLY BIRD) for a gift for a friend and now with all these quality issues I feel embarrassed to even present this to my friend. I don't know how she allowed somany mistakes to just be ok to ship out, she said in an update they were all to be checked but many having paint/dint marks was not deemed defective to her it seems. I be mad if my bag had mant dints around the edges and paint marks!

I am disappointed, not only to change the material/sewing without informing is false advertising specially since the one used in the kickstarter looks so much better and professional. Why should people have to "FIX" their bags the moment they get them? for the price of the bag that is terrible, would you be happy buying a new TV and then being told, oh here is a video on how to fix it so it works as advertised off the bat? I not even got my bag yet but not looking forward to it with all the issues and the fact it doesn't seem to work well as an ita bag to begin with. She just seems to be ok with making the customers just pay for the mistakes and brush her hands of it all without a proper fix. She should never have sent themout in the condition most if not all are being received in and she even stopped comments on her "fix" video. So if people have more questions they cannot without sending an email which she says are back logged. The price of the bag does not show at all in the final product, the one in the kickstarter just looks stronger and nicer specially with the fronts. Specially since the poppers do not show in the kickstarter version but the finished versions the poppers show so easily! Compare them to the front page of her kickstarter, the panels look stronger, better stitched and easier to put on compared to what we have now which looks as weak as paper with how easily they flop :/ She should of been upfront about the material changing because it is a BIG difference and some are even regret backing it because of it. She should never have changed the material and way it was made half way through production. Also a few people cannot wear it as a backpack as advertised because the strap is so short compared to what they advertised in the pictures so more cost cutting? As others have stated, all these issues seem to be with how big the project was, she was making too many panels for what she could handle and quality dropped because of it :/ Surprised your potion/moon panel was like that because she was only transparent I believe with the pixel heart panel needing to be cut differently from advertised, nothing else. Again, comparing to the kickstarter version as advertised, the poppers on the back looked nicer but adding an extra row without telling us was wrong, the extra row makes it look UGLY on the back compared to images showing only one row. The fact she says it is incase some poppers break, is worrying. For price of the bag those poppers should not be easily breaking. I have had items with poppers on them for years and never had them break or tear. But she makes it sound like they will come off quick enough :/

Update: people reporting the bags easily ripping after not even 40 minutes of use and stami has been refusing refunds and is just blaming her manufactor for this blunder when she clearly approved of their work with samples to her and she said was her "trusted" manufactor. Not only is she still selling the bags with the kickstarter photos on her website but even her other ita bags have the stitching promised in the photos, so why suddenly change the stitch window type here? this just screams massive scam and shes only focusing on the positive reviews and making everyone else burn with this terrible mistake.

Nope, you’re being perfectly reasonable. I recently had that same problem with a Kickstarter that was scheduled to be in around Thanksgiving 2020. The last part is scheduled to arrive in 2 weeks.

Hey! This was interesting to watch. I’m still waiting for mine cause im aussie so international post is probs gonna take longer to arrive. But Stami did have updates posted almost monthly to her website blog, and discord. I think the biggest delays were because of covid, and with over 400 versions that got unlocked during the kickstarter I’m not surprised it took 1yr with covid as well. Also the back with all the studs are for the ear/wings/etc panels ☺️ (like if you want to make your bag look like a bat or cat or something)

When it came to around Christmas time I started to worry about the updates as I didn’t see them on Kickstarter so I did search and see I think maybe one or two by that time and overall seeing the 6 updated now technically 7 if we include the one that says how to maintain it I think it’s better than none but still I wish there was a little more communication even if it was just a sentence that said ‘sorry no update but it’s still getting made in the factory’ I know it’s something so little but it just would have made me a little bit more relaxed I guess🙈 I’m just used to shorter time scales or more communication with small business and fully support them in the process but this just didn’t seem worth it for me unfortunately😔 thank you for saying about the back as I’m slightly annoyed at myself for not realising that as that definitely makes sense and I’m happy they are there for people who wanted the back panels, thank you letting me know that with them I’m a dope sometimes🙈 and thank you for your comment I hope yours arrives sooner than later!💗

I don’t really agree with most of the things you’re pointing out as problems other than the upside down name tag. That was a definite mistake/quality checking oversight but, at the end of the day, no one is gonna see that but you. As for the changeable fronts, I’m not surprised in the slightest that it didn’t have a “smooth finish”. Those snaps needed to be there and they’re a hard metal, so yeah, they’re gonna show. The snaps in the back were also for the other combinations you could choose from like cat ears for example but because, you didn’t choose those options, those snaps are of no use for you. But she couldn’t just get rid of them on the bags because a couple dozen people wouldn’t use them. As for the timeline, stami posts updates regarding the Kickstarter on her site and keeps people updated there. It may not be the best option because most people may not know that but, that’s how she decided to keep in contact. It was most likely mentioned in previous updates that you may or may not have read. Then for the pink flower, I wouldn’t fault stami for that design choice because you’re the one who bought that front. Saying it looks bad and makes the bag look like it’s for a little girl, isn’t on her. That’s on you. For the interior pockets, I feel like you should have read the campaign page before backing the bag if it was gonna be such a problem for you to not have a lot of space to use. And, as for the timeline, with covid, factories being backlogged, unforeseen changes, the amount of backers, the amount of possible combinations for this bag, sea shipping, quality checking, packing hundreds of different combinations, and the time it takes for things to ship internationally, I’m not surprised in the slightest this took a year to get to you. And honestly, I think you were being way too harsh and very biased in your thoughts about a handmade item. There are bound to be mistakes, bound to be delays, and bound to be things that can be made better in the future. For $60 you got a crap ton and she didn’t need to give you a sorry note to make up for it.

Welcome to my channel you are clearly new here as if you’ve watched any of my other videos I am constantly uplifting small businesses but anyway clearly you only have the time to dislike videos. As this is my channel it would be only right to have MY opinion on MY own video and the first point and only one you agree with is the quality control which is the main thing I’m not happy about I don’t care if I’m only one who can see the name tag I shouldn’t have to see it upside down. As for not a “smooth finish” I want it to look like a complete bag with the different fronts and it doesn’t due to being able to see the snaps. I didn’t realise over the back that it was to allow ears etc so that design makes sense I wouldn’t expect her to only do it for the people who ordered them nor have I said that in the video. Also I said there was hardly any updates which there was only 6 updates in 12 months which to me and my standard as again my personal opinion is not enough even if it was just a sentence to say she had no update would have even been better for me rather than creating new kick starters for new bags. Also how can I be biased with my own thoughts biased on what?! It’s my money I spent so that gives me the right to say whatever I want I haven’t blamed stami for the flower it is MY opinion and I am voicing that in person I don’t like it and a sorry note would have been nice but clearly with your attitude and lack and of acknowledgment for how much I put into the small business community shows in your one video watch and comment but thank you for the extra view and your comment and have a lovely day!

@@antoniadavitt not to be rude but I don't need to watch your other videos to down vote or leave my opinion about the harshness of this critique left on stami. You're right, you didn't say to get rid of the snaps but, given your overall attitude on the video, I wouldn't be surprised if that was something you thought since you didn't seem to understand the reason for them being there. And like I mentioned for the updates, she updated on her site and not kickstarter. Something I don't agree with doing since a lot of people don't always read the updates and probably didn't know she was updating on her site. When I backed a project of hers, I didn't know she was updating on her site but I went back through the updates and found that information before saying "wow, she hasn't updated us in x amount of months". As for the biased opinion, I would say it's biased. You were mad and irritated about the timeline so, your bias was that you thought this bag was gonna be some amazing, out of this world quality and, when it wasn't, you dragged her into the dirt. I'm not saying you can't have your opinion and that you can't voice it but, your whole thing was "this took a year and for a year this should have been better quality" (I'm paraphrasing). And I understand that a sorry note may have been nice to see but, stami doesn't have to apologize for how long a preorder takes. Pre-orders can take literal years and a seller doesn't have to apologize for the delay. You backed it, put your money into this product, and then (it seems) didn't put in effort to contact stami regarding the preorder, look into the updates for a way to find updates and let your bias get the better of you for this review.

You put this video out for the public to see then get defensive when someone doesn't agree with you. Also, I do support small businesses. I've put over $1500+ into collecting pins, ita bags, keychains, etc. I'm not saying stami has this amazing customer service but I'm saying she doesn't need to include a sorry note for a preorder when you agreed to back it. And I'm pretty sure you said in the video "I'd be fine if she updated every 2 months" and if there were about 6 in 12 months, that's an update every 2 months even if 1 of those days had two updates. If you have put in that much money I assumed you would have better standards but clearly not and no point did I say she needed to I said it would have been nice for her to do it which it would have been I love the personalisation when it comes to small business I don’t get that with stami and this isn’t my first purchase with her I’ve ordered several items and done several videos showing her items the one I’m not happy with you’re kicking off. They wasn’t every 2 months though was they she never updated for several months and then done 2 in one day etc and then wouldn’t speak again you can look on the website and see that I did say in the video since you paid so much close attention that she did start speaking a lot more after Christmas time which matches with the dates on the updates so I wasn’t wrong. In the future if you don’t agree that is fine I always encourage people to comment and speak to me but you are rude and insulting! You started I don’t agree with most things you said instead of just saying I’ve just watched the video and I have a few different opinions that I’d like to voice and just put it polite you are just so rude like there is no need.
