People hate on Roman Reigns’ title reign, but whenever his name is mentioned, whenever a title defense is announced or whenever he is advertised for a show, butts are in seats and ratings rise. He’s in one of, if not the best long term storyline in the history of this business and he keeps people talking. Love it or not, his title is prestigious because whenever he defends his title, you know it’s gonna be a big match. Clearly his title reign means something if people are constantly watching his segments and matches.

yeah i wouldn't say Roman's title reign is the worst title reign and WWE history because he literally said in a interview June 2022 that he was about to have a part time schedule so before that i would say August 2020 to June 2022 he has defending the title every week and has beat mostly every body so it's not that many superstars that will be a credible opponent for him and he made the Universal Championship mean something because that title was filled with bad title reigns and bad booking also its not that many superstars that will be a credible opponent for him except for probably like 4 superstars

Agreed. Whenever Roman wrestles a top face, it blows the roof off the place. The only thing I wish he did was to show up more, but I understand why he doesn’t. It keeps the viewer itching to see him again to cut a promo or have another banger of a match. He’s a prize fighter and I can’t really be too upset about it.

The attitude era was truly a phenomenon. Austin and Rocky's careers were relatively short runs in the grand scheme of things, less than a decade each if im not mistaken, but no one could have known their impact and influence to the fans and the industry as a whole. Dwayne was a pioneer, a founding father of sorts, his contribution was an integral part of what makes wrestling what it is today. Cena can also be seen as a game changer, but his role was to ride the wave and help along the evolution of the industry as it was happening. in many ways they are alot alike, but oh so very different at the same time.

You can make an argument that John Cena has had more 'great' matches then the rock and is better at cutting shoot promos. And has length on his side, but due to the numbers nothing is clear, also The Rock could be argued to be more entertaining and was more psychological in matches, & his run is still a fine length. Arguments for both sides but nothing is clear. :). Also I can actually give alot of criticism to John Cena, having watched his whole career, but I don't want to as I respect his hard work and fandom.

At first i do not like Roman's reign as the Undisputed Universal Champion too much but as times goes on, it has been growing on me until i fully liked it because mainly i do like heel gimmicks and seeing a heel doing a big thing like the Tribal Chief gimmick for Roman makes me watch wrestling again and some of his matches maked me hyped which that's the energy that i haven't feel in a while but in general the reign is good with The Bloodline Storyline being icing on the cake

I personally feel like Iyo should cash in on Asuka in Smackdown, I feel like that as a first championship rivalry for her would be really entertaining and it would definitely shoot her to the top, only problem I see is the fact that there's too much star power on Smackdown compared to Raw with the return of Charlotte, if they could get Charlotte to Raw that would be best for Iyo I think because a 1 on 1 rivalry between Iyo and Bayley, Iyo and Asuka, and Iyo and Bianca would definitely be amazing to see. I'm thinking bout Trish keeping the whole Thank You Trish thing going and Charlotte being upset cuz its like she's discrediting her for wut she did for the women's division and then it gets personal for some reason and they start going tooth and nail about who is better with Charlotte calling her old and trying to lay waste to her and retire her and Trish turning face and saying she's still got it and that she is paved the way for women like Charlotte and allat and then maybe getting a championship involved and possibly teasing a retirement match but instead of her losing she ends up winning the championship. But that's just fantasy booking. Either way something of the sort would definitely be good rather than a quick promo leading to a decent match.

I was watching Armaggedon 2000 and Royal Rumble 2001 and The Rock pops don't compare at all to the ones that Austin got when they both appeared. Hell the only reason The Rock didn't win in Wrestlemania 2000 was because Austin wasn't ready so instead of giving The Rock a Wrestlemania moment they decided to wait for Austin so he could help The Rock win at Backlash. Austin was also the first option to face Hogan on Wrestlemania 18 but neither wanted to put the other over so they went with the second option which was The Rock vs Hogan. The Rock was the number 1 guy when Austin was injured after that Austin became the number 1 guy once again.

Yeah Austin got the better of the Rock majority of their careers but it’s not like a Cena vs Orton where Cena was clearly above everyone else. I’d say it’s like having Hogan and Bret both at their peak..Hogan still huge and reached the top 1st but you couldn’t ignore Bret’s presence. @@Yoooits98 Yeah no doubt the year 2000 is the most successful year and my favorite WWE year ever. The Rock was the main guy in 2000 and Austin returned until September that year. The thing that also made 2000 the best year in the Attitude era was that it was way more stacked compared to 1998 and 1999. I love those two years but honestly the midcard sometimes was weak. 2000 had Angle and HHH being legit main eventers. Jericho and Benoit upper midcarders that are legit threat for the title. Eddie Guerrero, Too Cool, Dudley Boyz, Edge and Christian, The Hardy Boyz all rising and making the midcard incredibly strong.

I don't understand how Roman could be in such video. Roman is used getting hate throughout his career, but what he did once he became heel and won that title 3 years ago is superb. To be fair... He cleaned out the Division 2 or 3 times about 2 years into his title reign 😂. Like, what's the alternative here? If he had a consistent title defense every PPV for 3 years straight, then people would be complaining about seeing Roman Vs Kevin Owens for the 12th time, JUST LIKE how people complained about seeing Cena Vs Orton a thousand times. Roman Reigns reign as champion has been for the last 3 years has been very milking. In my stance this defeats the purpose of the concept of representing a fighting champion he barely defends his title. The only times that he would defend are big events that would make the generate a lot of money. As an fan we would like to see Roman week after week to cut promos & segments but with limited amount of appearances interaction is less on Smackdown to tune in every week. Also Roman isn’t fighting on Smackdown that affects the roster not being elevated which shows Roman is Top Tier while everyone else is Mid Card fighting to reach at Romans level. The whole point is that his reign is bad doesn’t help elevate current or new talents they neglected them or buried.

Roman has already defeated 95% of the roster at some point, his reign was so long he defended it so many times that at this point there are no N1C's for his championship. Jey Uso is now the next n1c for summerslam but who do you put against Reigns after that? Thats why he is defending the championship every few months. And also his title reign will go down as the best one.

Cena can’t touch The Rock. Rock did more in 7 yrs than Cena did in his Super Cena Era. Ppl forget Dr of Thuganomics was mid card and after like 2016 Cena became part time. There was only 6-8 good Cena yrs on top so they are def comparable. I think Rock is lightyears beyond anyone on the mic and u can feel his personality thru the screen. This is something John has picked up as of late but he didn’t always have it. The Rock had it since Day 2 (he was Rocky Maivia on Day 1 😂)

Dude defended his title regularly during the first, what, 2 years? Look at the guys he beat: Strowman, Cena, Cesaro, Mysterio, Bryan/Zayn/Owens/Edge MULTIPLE times, Demon Balor, Lesnar twice, Riddle, Cody, McIntyre, and soon it's gonna be Jey's second time. His title reign is a mogul at this point and they NEED to build guys up to something near his level to generate interest in the main events of PLEs. The IC and US titles are the workhorse belts. If anything, people should be wondering why Gunther and Theory don't defend more.
