Yup, the two MP1s are a bit overkill, but love that we can run both ACs and allows for really easy expansion.

We have heard they don’t work so well under the rig also 🤣 Hopefully that will be a future project, but we also have a lot of maintenance to do in the roof, so once that’s done and finances are replenished, I shall come to you for panel advice. The gray and black tanks in a our GD fifth wheel have 12V tank heater pads to extend the seasonal use of the rig. Think our high the tanks would have to be to put insulation below them and the challenge of keeping it dry even with the plastic belly pan. With only 400AH of lithium, I would I have only done one Victron Multiplus II which would give you the approximately a 30A rig. I even run my GD Fifth Wheel with a 30A cord which is easy whine up and store. I also try and stay in 70-80 deg weather so only one AC unit is needed. Also install MicroAir EasyStart to even run a AC on batteries for a little while. You will need to install fans to vent the under your bed too with the heat the inverters will generator. I hope you both sleep well with white noise. Great job. Enjoy the camping freedom you have now. I do overnights in route camping without even hooking up with the freedom of 400AH. I also did a 12V DC compressor conversion on my Norcold by JC Refrigeration to only pull 6A and keeps food really cold. Original Norcold on 120V AC would run through 200A in just a day of driving, not anymore with a 12V DC compressor.

Great job! I cringed when you plugged in the shore power and THEN plugged in the rig when it appeared the wall outlet was hot. To prevent arcing you should always kill the breaker before you plug or unplug the shore power. Todd Henson is the G.O.A.T!

I'm so sorry I didn't get the chance to do it for ya, But let me say you rocked that job. Isn't Todd from the NRVTA the best 👏👏. I CANT Wait to get back this Oct...lol...I'm taking Solar and Generators. I'm schooled in Solar from my other British friend who is a master electrician. You are going to be so happy with that set up. My bet is you will go after more Amp hrs but your summer trip is going to be so more comfortable with that set up. Cheers you 2 rock ‼️

lol - my wife says that's the same expression I get when she says I have to finish my other projects first, before starting another one. Congratulations on finishing your dual inverter install Laurence - it's a relief when you flip the main power switch and no smoke is generated! So what's your next project? btw - we just finished adding to our solar, bringing it up to 4,780 watts, but only running on a single 5k Victron quattro.

I said hi but then my WiFi cut out with the storm we had. It finally came back on by the time they ended but I’m going to back and watch. I don’t stay on line when there’s a storm. Congrats. There is a setting in the CerboGX that once defined will show you your shore power. Sorry not near my RV or I'd be more specific. I think go to System Setup and change AC to Grid or Shore Power then that Red Box in the upper left will display your AC input.

Interesting. Not sure why you bought two Victron inverters. My large diesel pusher has only one 3k inverter and 600Ah, and I can run one AC unit with this setup.

Simply futureproofing. I hope to add more batteries and this gives us 3000w on each leg, so can run both ACs and or coffee machine, etc. bit overkill, but if we ever add batteries, I need to do nothing else but add them.

@@BrazenBrits That is a lot of overkill. To be honest, I have never thought about using 2 inverters. Using 2 inverters probably simplified your install with the power. In my diesel pusher, the power goes back to the 120v power panel, and I have a separate board in this panel for items fed from the inverter. I doubt if Grand Design installs this type of electrical panel in the TT and 5th Wheels (but I could be wrong).

I would like to know more about the GasStop issue and tankless water heaters. I own GasStops and I now have a tankless water heater. Do I need to look for different GasStops. So far my research has indicated a difference in the GasStops I currently own and any new version.

They have a slightly higher cut off limit. Most of us won’t even notice, but some tankless water heaters pulled too much propane and caused them to shut off. If yours is working, no need to replace. They have fantastic support, so don’t hesitate to reach out to them, if you’re having any issues 👍
