When I was a kid I HATED being forced to outline my thoughts before writing an essay or a story. Later on I realized it was because I'm better at generating ideas through free writing and then turning that into an outline! What adaptations of the writing process did you realize worked better for you? -Paola

I STILL hate outlines. 😂 I’m a combination of free writing and a beat poet technique where you cut your known paragraphs, or even sentences, up and rearrange them until they make sense/are in a good order. (Funnily enough, something I use editing, too.) Finding a writing program that has that capability built in (Scrivener) has been really amazing for improving my writing!
