Director Schro here: Honestly the simplest thing is don't cut as much. Just making the shots longer does a lot of the work. One of my fav shots I've ever done is the bar scene in this.

You can argue that these are probably F-tier super rookie assassins. Only a really incompetent assassin would make that mistake which explains how Ron is still alive. Kevin is probably a C-tier (maybe B) assassin since he quickly figured things out and is making short work of these thugs. Actual quality assassins would have taken out Ron easily, even with Kevin protecting him, especially since he isn't even changing his routine or home address.
