See what happened when Darren Parkin of Ever Wild Outdoors took on the mighty Wye 100 by canoe. He faced a heatwave, low water levels and thunderstorms - so did he manage to complete the 100 miles?

Well done! I did Glasbury to Redbrook last year and watching this reminds me of how tired i was at the end.

Nice one! I just did 5 days Glasbury to Monmouth, so I can see you've done some pretty brutal paddling distances. Well done!

Fantastic, what a trip. What time of the year did you do this I’m guessing the summer also how did you organise your transport?

That was a nice video. You have a good onscreen presence. Well done in completing the task. I do think you lose a lot of power with the goon stroke when compared with the "J" stroke. It would be worth getting into the habit of it if you can. Regards, Big Al.

Thank you, Big Al. Kind words. On the stroke, I do largely use a J-stroke, but not when talking to camera - it can make me sound odd. Also, I tend to switch strokes around to what's comfortable when doing an endurance challenge as I'm paddling for 14/15 hours a day so need to shift position quite a lot.

I can't lie. This was brutal. Those last four miles against the tide nearly finished me. I only do stuff like this for charity, not for fun.

Great video. Shame you had to endure the rain. I too hate the rain and as a biker having it hit you at 70mph is not enjoyable.
