alizei They still release album in the UK they just never expanded and Syco and Simon never pushes for them. Matt won and is super popular and well loved then. His first single even sold more than One Direction's What Makes You Beautiful in the UK but Simon don't like him so they drop him after the promise album. Simon signed both One Direction and Cher Lloyd and focus on them. In fact he left X-Factor UK right after 1D to help them expand in the US. He even created X-Factor US. I am a huge Directioner but I acknowledged this. I was already a fan since X-Factor back in 2010 so I know how hugely popular Matt then that they even try to sabotage him and Rebecca so 1D can win since Simon really really wants them to win since he wants to create the next big boyband. They didn't win but Simon still singed them and focus all his attention and money on them which we Directioners are grateful for. But do not insult Matt and Rebecca especially since they purposely drop and ruin them. In fact it's amazing that they still manage to bounce back and still releasing songs until today despite getting ZERO support.

Janina Rose I'm well aware of what X-Factor consists of and indeed X-Factor has talent, but what I'm trying to imply is that as long as your young and have just a tad bit of vocal control (even if you aren't good because only god knows how they got through in their first auditions) and have looks that young teens wont care about how bad you are as long as they can fathom over you. OneD has some great songs i will admit, but its just shear luck that they were able to make it big.
