By using the word in the context in which it was presented, he conveyed the message that he wanted to his target audience. Plus, how do you think words acquire more than one definition? By maybe using them in more than one way maybe? Are you going to go back through all of those words, find the original definition, and ban the rest from being used?

I just absolutely love this guy's voice. He sounds fucking incredible! Especially with that high note. I think what let me down through his journey (which I watched all of it) that in the second half of his journey, there was not this incredible high note or this spontaneity that I feel with the first part. I am not a vocal coach, it is just my thoughts. I mean I keep coming to those first songs of his a lot. Do not get me wrong, he also sounded really good at the second part of his journey but here he was phenomenal.
