The thing about forgetmenot in the comics is everytime a writer finishes writing a story with him they immediately forget what they wrote about him so consistent continuity with him is even more impossible than it is with most comic book characters already. One day Forgetmenot's origin is him being recruited by the team after a hard fought battle with Magneto, another day Wolverine just sat next to him on the bus and they came back to the mansion together. It's actually impossible for anyone to make a wiki page on him because any time they look away from the image they were going to upload they forget who he is and who they were making a wiki article for before finishing it. Most readers don't even remember Forgetmenot existed after finishing a comic that had him in it. Hell, a lot of artists just forget to keep drawing him after they go one panel without drawing him so he usually disappears part way through.

Had to look this guy up. He really exists. Interesting note is that machines take time to forget him. I don't know that it's ever been explained why, but a security system took some unspecified amount of time to forget his existence, leaving him scarred before it switched off. Fantomex (or however that's spelled) apparently had no problem remembering him permanently. Fantomex is some kind of pseudo-cyborg, so apparently that works better against him than full machines. Also maintenance droids for some reason permanently remember him in one story... but it seems like they might be networked, so possibly when one forgets the others remind it? I'm going off the fan wiki here.

In theory anybody with the power Cosmic Awareness (the original Captain Marvel’s greatest power) would be immune, since it makes the user see the entirety of the universe at once and at all levels even if they don’t want. So technically they would be in a state of always looking at him, thus making his power not activate.

The problem is remembering to finish recruiting the guy in the first place. Plus they wouldn't remember to equip or pay him for any missions. Even if it was automated, someone would probably assume it was an oversight and cancel it.

They'd want to do some kind of check to make sure he wasn't a double agent, and they wouldn't be able to verify that, and record it in a way that they didn't suddenly spot an "infiltrator" in their records in the future.

it's so hard to do repetition of the same joke like this while still keeping it funny. good job jj, banger vid. especially the gesundheit gag at 0:39 and the "doesnt have a helmet" repeat 0:43 - 0:58 and the wrong name bit 1:17 The whole thing reminds me of daniel thrasher's "when they butcher your name" (a great 3 min sketch for anyone who hasnt seen it)

His powers are tragic but Forgetmenot could also be absolutely terrifying. His powers also work on video and audio recordings, files and reports and anything with his information. He could genuinely be the world's deadliest assassin for hire or a serial killer and he'd NEVER be caught since all traces of him disappear instantly and no one will remember him even if they witnessed everything. Its a huhe relief that he actually uses his powers for good
