FWIW: I’m gonna be fine financially guys. But it would be cool if you bought from us. FWIW2: Mikey is actually jacked to be naturally high. @ Yeah. It’s one of those situations where the car is not worth that much but you can’t buy used for cheaper either. Vehicle problems are a good thing to have.

Bro.. That was such a simple fix to a "forever" mistake. I literally was just teaching my wife on Saturday that she should be moving her final step diagonally to get the stagger. Thanks!

Thanks for the tip about the right foot stepping infront of the left foot. I’ve been playing for years now and I never felt comfortable enough to try the X-step, went from 320ft to 350ft in one session.

I really hope that these could be answered or at least a video could be made on them. These are questions that I am not able to get clear answers on no matter how many videos I search through. I am struggle with throwing straight and I'm in the hunt for these answers to help determine which could be off, meet foot position or my pull through/release: 1.) Where should your first be planted on the final step? One the line that you are wanting to throw or over it? I see Paul Ulibarri and Brandon Sides have their heel on the line, while taller individuals such as Simon and Gannon look to step forward some and just over the line. Where should, in general should we be placing the foot actually to throw our line? 2.) When watching your videos on backhand form and getting the power pocket, you look like you are getting your arms up to your chest (pretty high). You have others like Drew Gibson saying to pull more just under your sternum. When I record my throw up higher and pull through with just arm, I am pushing my lead shoulder really high up and it looks incorrect. Where exactly should the pull through be? 3.) Where exactly is our hit point? In a recent lesson you posted teaching nose angle you were showing how you pretend to be smacking a ball off of a tee out in front. Where do we throw out exactly? Is it's more like 11:30 or 10 o'clock?

Great video. I have pretty much completely changed over from ball golf, to disc golf. In Ball golf, every once in a while I might really uncork one. Just by accident. But in disc golf, that never happens. And I really wonder why. So I very much pay close attention to every single bit of info and advise I can get. This might just be my answer. If not keep em coming.

That has been my main problem and even knowing it I found it difficult to execute until I realized the upper body needs to be involved as well. If you start the swing "around" with your disc, shoulder upper body, the lower body will follow automatically and your timing between upper and lower body can be maintained.

You got me at, "maybe my eyes are attuned to it now." As i progress, i see small details i did not see. Kinda like feeling the disc rim acutely as it leaves my fingertips on a proper release. Little things that are entirely unnoticed if you arent providing yourself with a solid foundation of proper technique.
@overfiend75Ай бұрын
oy. the 'huge stagger' at 1:47 looks all too familiar. i have been consciously trying to 'back away' from the line during the lead-in step, with the idea of preventing myself from traveling into that huge stagger, and now I wonder if this may be making it worse. time to look at some film. thanks for this.

@hepdesignsАй бұрын
I had this problem but I fixed it by starting halfway down the tee-pad on one side and aiming my plant foot to the opposite corner. It’s a common misconception that your walk up needs to be linear with where you are throwing.

Do you think on your final plant that being on your toe on your back foot can help? I’ve noticed that I fall on my brace when I don’t focus on it and instead go on the side of my foot. Great video though because I wasn’t noticing that second step

At the video with the guy inside doing tech disc numbers - I think it was regarding throwing nose down ? - you tell him to rotate the wrist or “turn the key”- as I understand it ? But seeing some other coaches, Discdoctor amongst other, they do not recommend this, “adding more variables” to get timed correct… I’m a confusing stuff or misunderstanding this concept ?
@OverthrowDiscGolfАй бұрын
I obviously don’t think it is too many variables. Many sports use a similarly complex movement with great accuracy. The tennis serve comes to mind
@SpinDedyesАй бұрын

Personally I feel like adding the extra first left foot step with shoulders open to the staggered right foot step with shoulders closed isnt even worth teaching people until they have muscle memoried the stagger for when they brace. I feel like sweeping your shoulders from open to closed just adds more problems than it gains distance for newer players.
