well it kind of makes sense. Suppose there is a big day one release. Instead of buying it for 70 bucks or whatever, just sub to gamepass for a month. Play that game. Beat it. and then cancel your subscription. and then resub when the next big day one release comes out that you want to play. Beat it, and cancel again. You'd be surprised how many people do that. I don't know about you, but 90% of the games I play, are games I am probably not going to go back to once I've beaten them.

First the introduction of a tier that does not have day one games is a the biggest slap to the face to the people who did support Gamepass from day one as it goes against its foundations. The price increase for me was the last straw… the first 7 months of this year on GP / MS as a whole has been DRY AF… I was not using GP more than 5 times a month so why the heck am I paying for it? Asking for more is a major well this just lost all its value.

Switching to PC fully was one of the best things i ever did and ive saved so much money from it. My PC will pay for itself soon enough in savings. Its mind boggling to me at this point how anyone could be ok with being forced to pay to use your own internet you already pay for separately. The sooner PSN and Xbox Passes die, the better. It needs to be set in stone that no company should ever be able to charge you additional money to use your own internet on your own device. Halo Infinite is a perfect example of this, it tried to recreate old Halo and massively failed. I'am pretty sure, they are trying to make as much money as possible before PS6 releases, because they know very well that they completely failed to appeal their player base with their rubbish exclusives and they have no chance of retaining this player base once the next gen console releases. So somehow making up for any future losses. Also, increasing price doesn't make any sense because it will only deter more customers instead of appealing them.

The reason I don't care to own games anymore is because most of the content or reasons to play these games is because of their online content. So if for any reason it gets removed from game pass or delisted from the onl8ne store, the multi-player part of the game probably also isn't available anymore. Of course I care more about money then anything, and I only play like 5-6 games at a time, and I only have the Xbox one x, I don't see myself playing them new releases, so maybe it's time to stop paying for premium

There was all kinds of pushback over plus price increase. However, there was 0 pushback when xbox raised the price of gamepass around the same time last year. Since there was no pushback for xbox then, you get yet another price increase this year.
