I bought the G640 about 3 months ago and wrote an email to them asking for either a refund or a swap for the revision A version. They told me they would send me a revision A tablet free of charge and that I don't have to return the one I have now. 10/10 service.

Edit (27/08/20): UK, EU and most of South East Asia can now 100% guarantee a Rev A purchase by going for an order remark at storexppen.co.uk (thanks to peeps in the comments for letting me know) The XP PEN Star G640 Rev A (the older version) is now back in production! If you're living in the US, Canada, Hawaii, Puerto Rico or Alaska then you can 100% confirm a Rev A purchase by leaving an order remark 'the older version of the star g640' when ordering from THEIR WEBSITE - I don't think you can do this anywhere else. There is still Rev B stock floating around so you might not be guaranteed a Rev A purchase! I don't know if they're fully converting back to Rev A, so I'll need to find out more about what they're actually planning to produce - whether its both versions or just back to Rev A. If you're not living in these 5 areas then I don't know what you can do currently to 100% guarantee a Rev A purchase. Maybe you can wait a few weeks or months for the Rev A stock to overtake the Rev B stock so that your chances of receiving one are higher..?

Thanks for the update video. I had seen the Reddit post. I am still confused how their lack of updating their product description isn't "Bait and Switch". This is so anti consumer it should have a full investigation. I know it's only a cheaper tablet but its fraudulent as they "know" many people will be getting the version with only 200hz despite it being advertised as 266hz and those who haven't seen these videos or the reddit post will be none the wiser and they know it.

Rev B owner here. I highly doubt that rev A and B have any difference in osu for most people. My rev B works wonderfully and is exceptionally responsive, without any accuracy issues. But that might be because I use a "big" tablet area of 111x62.44mm. Still, I love it and won't return it or try to get a rev A. Just not worth the effort for me.

1. you can't instantly notice the difference, it can only be found by checking the hawku drivers which is detailed in the timestamps of this video: kzbin.info/www/bejne/o2PEe3eOapxmZqs 2. you have a chance of getting rev a or rev b, it's not guaranteed which one you'll get 3. there are no 'good tablets for beginners', my personal recommendation for good tablets in general however are as follows: a used cth 480, XP PEN G640 Rev A, ctl 472, ctl 470, Gaomon S620, Veikk s640 4. depends what wacom intuos you are talking about, cth/ctl 480 is arguably still the best tablet for osu, ctl-472 is on par with the XP PEN G640

I literally just got it off amazon (US) before watching your 2 videos. Under the bar code it says “New” so is it safe to assume it’s rev B? If so, should i return it?

Iroha igarashi this doesn’t apply to the XP PEN G640S but that tablet is just as garbage I believe, it has quite a bit of hardware smoothing
