I want Soto back but there is so many holes in this lineup that needs to be addressed. If we can somehow keep him and do that great if not as tough as it sounds I say let him walk.
@itchy513523 күн бұрын
This was my thought exactly and you're the only person that has said the same thing. Everyone is blind to this fact. I would love to have Soto back. The lineup is undoubtedly better with him but I dont want that to be the reason the Yanks don't improve other weaknesses because we know they'll do that. They wont open the books like the Dodgers and Mets will be, this offseason. They're still hell-bent on saving money instead of being the Evil Empire and just spend the money.

You could go out and get 3 reasonably priced players and they still won’t make up the production Soto would 😅

Soto is the least of their problems, they need a new owner, GM, manager, coaching staff, bullpen, bench, 1st base, 2nd base, bat boy, etc etc. let Soto go
@jessc.851023 күн бұрын
Soto learned his lesson from the Nationals. He’s not getting attached to any team anymore. He learned baseball is a business. They traded him twice now, he knows not to get emotionally attached until he’s signed. Hence why it went horrible for Soto with the padres, he seemed lost. He was depressed. Ppl only see from the outside. He was hurting all that time. He don’t care anymore because he knows the Yankees might not signed him.

@jo012323 күн бұрын
Once they get a massive 10-12 yr contract, in Soto’s case maybe 14 yrs. A lot of them lose their motivation. I think Yankees should stay away if he wants more than $500 million.

I actually started following the Yankees because of Soto and I loved what I saw this season but hearing people talking about they should go and spend the money on Santander And other players, instead of getting the guy that gave you a taste of a World Series in 15 years, and actually was the best hitter in the team during the post season. Actually makes me believe that Soto should Run from this organization, go to the Mets, or dodgers, have fun with satander 😂
@Icebergslim_123 күн бұрын
It’s not that we want to see him go, it’s the large contracts that are not sustainable. Having Judge, Cole and Stanton on payroll is a big deficit. Imagine adding Soto, how do we fill the rest of the roster?

I need better help after that game. Yanks need to sign Soto and Bieber to start. Trade spencer jones for another infielder either 2nd base or 3rd base. Need to tighten up the defense, add some bullpen arms. Need bat to ball guys thay play good defense in the infield. I would also start moving judge to 1st base. Maybe a few days at first a few days in the outfield.

Let's not worry so much about Soto. How about we fix some basic fundamentals like base running, fielding, and the ability to hit with men on base. The Dodgers scouting report on the Yankees is amazing. It truly shows just how bad this team really was. Soto does not fix any of the above he only takes away $$$ to try and do so.

Yankees would be the same team if they re-signed Soto. Problems with the team masked by playing mediocre teams in the AL especially since Astros got old and most of the Orioles were in the infirmary. Not winning a WS with Judge because he disappears in October and Stanton cannot carry both of them so might as well bring up Spencer Jones (CF), Dominguez (LF), Ben Rice (1B) and trade or sign the best 2B available. Acquire all the fireballers you can for the bullpen to help Weaver out.
@1474JOHN23 күн бұрын
What the heck are you talking, Stanton did not carry soto at all, matter fact only thing Stanton did better than soto was a couple of more homers, soto was an on base machine, y'all really clueless, better average, better on base % less strikeout, more runs scored, more BB ,yeah Stanton did really good but he did not carry soto at all
