I have never seen Christmas ornaments displayed like in that store! And the actual ornaments were beautiful - like works of art. The cleansing butter is the best for getting off all of your makeup. Rub it on your dry face and use a warm wet washcloth to remove it. It cleans and moisturizes at the same time. It smells heavenly too!

Pepernoten :D that's what we call them in the Netherlands, I thought they were a typically Dutch thing associated with the Sinterklaas holiday we have here, but there's plenty to learn on traditions and food. Yours looked yummy too! Thanks for taking us with you to the towns 🎇

I'm also Dutch and I read that the word Pebbernoder (is that correct spelling in Danish?) comes from pepernoten! On the Danish Wikipedia there is one little sentence about the origin of the Danish word. It also can be a german/pagan thing. Not the Germany but the people from Germany, Netherlands and Denmark. They had "speculaas" when Midwinter was celebrated. But of course not with the same spices as nowadays.

Just love the body shop advent calander you received. That would was exciting for sure. Enjoy! You are not alone in getting flushed near the throat when excited, nervous, frustrated. I noticed as I was getting older it did eventually disappear. It is quite common I have noticed. I will try the traditional recipe sometime. It sounds interesting. The red dress is gorgeous. It looks like someone has hand made it which makes it even more special when it was made with love. Hope you enjoyed your evening and your peppernuts were appreciated.

That same thing happened to my towels, it was a face wash I was using that was the culprit! The salicylic acid bleached them 🙄 Love the cookies!!
