Many of you have probably seen the movie about the giant ape and particularly remember the scene where it climbed the Empire State Building, the symbol of New York. But what if we tell you that King Kong, notable for its fantastic size, really existed? Yes, it was not 15-30 meters (49-98 feet) tall and lived hundreds of thousands and millions of years ago, but still...
What did it eat? Did it look like a gorilla from the movie? In what habitat did it live? Who were its competitors? And finally, why did it become extinct? Or maybe it is not extinct at all, and still roams somewhere on Earth? Keep watching to find out the answers to these and other questions:
Gigantopithecus.

Great video. It's a shame so many viewers are salty conspiracy theorists instead of people genuinely interested in evolution and Gigantopithecus.

I beg to differ. Salty conspiracy theorists you refer to are just people who have seen something with their own eyes and doesn't mean they aren't interested in evolution or science, at all. It's just that some of us like science but don't have to be completely ignorant about anomalies. Looking for answers really isn't so weird in science, but hiding from them and denying reality should be.

you're wrong bout the patterson-gimlin film in 1967 it was recently proven it was not a man in an ape suit because at the time those type of suits didn't show actualy muscle movement or muscles and also ape suits at the time never had female breasts..but otherwise you do have an interesting documentary

If the narrator wants to call the Bigfoot footage “non-documentary,” he ought to not call it the “Patterson-Gremlin” as he did. And calling it clearly “a man in a monkey suit” is a VERY uninformed statement.

first, patterson and GIMLIN film. no 'R'. second, it has NEVER been debunked or "proven" to be some guy "in a monkey suit". it has, however, been proven the technology to create a suit to mimic the footage didn't exist then. (this was the same time frame as the planet of the apes for reference.) the more check-able facts you mangle, the less validity and weight your opinions carry, mate. there were others, but that one was just such a rookie cock up that i had to say something.

I was interested in his analysis of gigantapithicus to the modern bigfoot until he kept referring to the Patterson Gimlin film as the Patterson Grimlin film. He adds an r into Gimlin where there is none. And then to say that the subject in the Patterson Gimlin film is clearly just a man in a gorilla suit finally did it for me. He clearly has not done any research on the Patterson Gimlin film and should not be making any assertions about it. It's OK to have an opinion about a subject but at least be a little knowledgeable about it before you do.
