Amazing. That short offering had a bit of everything: anticipation of the motorbike falling off the ramps; unexpected horror of the collapsing roof; a touch of (un)polishing education; the respectful reflection about our amazing NHS; the obligatory mouthwatering culinary offering and of course, all delivered with a side-order of humour, "dry"! Subtle, entertaining and very relaxing. We've missed you!

Brings a lump to my throat hearing everyone clapping/cheering/beeping etc., for the NHS. I married an Aussie 24 years ago and left England. The family’s all still there and I miss my homeland, especially in times of trouble. A sincere Thanks for the Yorkshire Chateau. You’ve brought home closer, with wit, style and a wry sense of humour. All the best and keep Safe xxx

He states it simply, "Stay home, save lives." It's that simple, but the bloody fools who insist that they have the right to go out in public, wearing no mask, put us ALL at risk!

Not been on your site for a long time (since your tips helped me French polish an old display cabinet a few years ago) Hope all is okay in your area. Life is still crazy with this virus. So lovely to see you post some videos. Kind regards.

I’m a retired furniture restorer and dealer, I used to buy and restore chests of drawers and yes it’s unbelievable how the price of Victorian and Georgian furniture has dropped so low. Started with IKEA then 2009 interest rates went down to nothing so people with money put their money into property which has made the price of houses rocket up but more importantly for antique furniture the houses and flats have got smaller .sigh.

Hi Robert. Thanks for another video. I was introduced to your channel a short while ago and am slowly making my way through your back catalogue during lockdown. I have a couple of questions for you if you don't mind. Firstly, you don't seem to "spirit off" after French polishing. Is this correct and if so, do you not think it's necessary? Secondly, which oil do you prefer to use to rejuvenate old wood? You have inspired me to try to restore an old table and I am unsure whether to use mineral or boiled linseed oil. I will be applying shellac as a final coat. Regards, Dave.
