Update: Please note that RedCircle ( crsp.li/RedCircle ) has changed their pricing recently. They still provide unlimited episode hosting but no longer the ability to host multiple podcasts in one account for free (that's now inside the 12$ per month plan). Also some of the other features moved into that paid plan. I have reached out to RedCircle and they told me that the goal is to still provide as much value to a customer wanting to build their podcast for free but put the more premium/professional features into a "Podcast Network" account. I have advocated to keeping more of the features free but we'll see what happens in the future.

Do you own your podcast recordings with red circle?

Not free anymore... But a good service. I host 5 podcasts on it and have had no issues.
@ChrisSpiegl2 жыл бұрын
True. Not free for unlimited podcasts under one account but still free for one podcast per account. I updated the description mentioning this a few months ago. Also, still use the service and can absolutely recommend.

Do they distribute your show to all the platforms? You sped up passed that area, and I think it is why many of your viewers are here?
@ChrisSpiegl2 жыл бұрын
They do distribute to other platforms. But the reason I speed over that topic is that I do not tend to use the "Auto Distribution" feature. The reason is that when you do that you loose access to the statistics of those other platforms. It's best to submit your show to Spotify / Apple / Google individually (via the RSS feed which RedCircle provides).

Are you available if I get stuck? Seems an old guy like me is not as high tech, but I am a former talk show host and sometimes, I am better at content rather than the technical side.
@ChrisSpiegl2 жыл бұрын
You can email me, I try to respond. Optionally, we can also setup a consultation via video chat (also organized via Email). Have fun with the setup, Podcasting can be a joy 👍.

Absolutely. The podcast world really has a big benefit there.

Why don't you talk about the actual recording of an episode? Seems like all of the platforms I have looked at, they are problematic.
@ChrisSpiegl2 жыл бұрын
Do you mean in person podcasts or remote podcasts? And what do you find problematic with which platforms?

Will red circle help put your episodes on all podcasting platforms like buzzsprout
@ChrisSpiegl2 жыл бұрын
They have some distribution channels which they specifically support and can do for you. Yes, if it's the same as Buzzsprout, I don't know.
@davidarmstrong84802 жыл бұрын
So do you know for a fact that it will definitely go on Spotify and do you know if there’s any other platforms for the world to hear your podcast like Apple so if they search up my podcast name can people actually look for it
@ChrisSpiegl2 жыл бұрын
@@davidarmstrong8480 Spotify and Apple Podcasts are two that are definitely supported. Even if they would not be, you can (and in my opinion actually should) set up the podcast with those platforms individually. Only that way you can guarantee that you get access to all the detailed statistics these platforms can give you.

It’s no longer free
@ChrisSpiegl10 ай бұрын
Dear @IAMCHIDERA, they changed their pricing, that is true. But they still offer the ability to have 1 free podcast on your account. It's on their pricing page: "Not sure? Get started with our free Core Plan." You can upload unlimited episodes (with each episode being less than 200MB which is very doable with mono audio mp3 only files). And if you want to host more than 1 show, you can either upgrade (and get other benefits as well. Or you can create a second account and host the second show there. Aside from this: I would nowadays choose to host my Podcast on Spotify directly since that way I can publish video files to Spotify without having to publish the episodes twice. Warm Regards, Chris
