Im a drummer of 15+ years w/ a background in all ways of music. Only recently did I come across Yussef Dayes, and he's already one of my favorite drummers ever. He is simply one of the best I've heard. How smooth he plays such complex breaks with as much control as he has is one a kind. This is some of the best music out there. I got a kick out of watching Yussef smirking while playing, he knows this shit is magic. Mansur made that guitar speak in 10 different languages, Rocco is about as clean as they get on bass, and Alfa made me float in space with the keys. I never comment on KZbin, I can make an exception for such greatness. I might be 4 years late, but this will forever be timeless.

The first time I heard this song, I was shooketh by Mansur's skills. Second time around, I could not believe how sublime and full of character is Rocco's baselines. I circled back again for the third time to focus on Alfa Mist's dreamy keyboard work-how consistent and complimentary it is. I noticed Yussef's drumming last- every snare, every movement is calcualted, carefully calibrated to lay the foundation for these passionate youngins to express. What a beatuiful piece of art this is!

Maybe because of just how much energy this song has? The two crescendos are just immense and incorporate everything I love about music and being a musician. Mansur Brown is a new name to me but the best jazz guitar l have heard for years. As for the rest of them, l knew what to expect. So great to hear jazz taken out of the museum and made fresh again. As a lifelong jazz fan I am thrilled to find young people doing this and generating an audience. Wherever there is great jazz there is civilisation. Just think of all the places it doesn’t go (Mar a Lago, The Kremlin, Jacob Rees Mogg) and you get the point

His whole energy is other worldly. He has that Badu, Miles Davis, John Coltrane, type of energy. Throw in Andre3000. Man I hope like hell he does a tour in the US and come to Oakland. I will spend my retirement money if I have to in order to see the Bruv play live!
