I really liked the fact that these zombie maps used assets from maps and campaign. It was really cool noticing it in game

No map played with party dynamics better than verrukt. I love that on solo or two player the map provides 2 different early games as well. It’s really disappointing that nowadays every zombies map has a 2 lane setup to it like, DE, der reise, kino, and many others. I like the outliers to this formula like die rise and buried that really changed how you play the map, despite some players not being able to handle the changes.

Verrückt is actually my number 1 go to map for straightforward fun. Yes, I enjoy it more than Der Reise. Yes, I enjoy it more than Kino. Yes, I *definitely* enjoy it more than Ascension. Do I enjoy it more than Call of the Dead? That's a tough one, but I think I gotta say yes. Not my favourite map of all time, those spots do go to big quest maps like Mob, Origins, Shadows, and Zetsubou - but for a bare bones pure gameplay map, Verrückt was the best we ever got as far as I'm concerned. So fast-paced, such an unusually diverse range of both camping and training strategies, and all topped off with the fucking stellar World at War weapons which were easily the most satisfying and fun to use in all of zombies.

@@doublechindoge7 I can’t play bo1 that much because it lacks any cool or memorable weapons besides wonder weapons or the mustang and sally. Plus all of them are terrible besides the crossbow. Waw and bo2 had useful, creative, and interesting weapons that are always fun to use. Unfortunately Verrukt doesn’t have pap but otherwise the weapons complement the gameplay of the map perfectly

Not my favorite zombies map, but it is my favorite waw map. The atmosphere and map layout just make it so fun to play on. This map doesn’t beat my favorite map buried tho

To br fair, he was wrong about it being russian, the asylum you go thourgh in the WAW campaign was at the outskirts of Berlin.

@@COhlenthey had “Japanazis” I suppose. Also Group 935 (whom was affiliated w/ the Nazi Party) collaborated with Division 9 to create the Ray Gun and Wunderwaffe. Even the Doctors Quarters is named that way because Dr. Edward Richtofen spent much of his time there.

Can you do a video about the history of asset re-use in zombies? I'm one of those people who complain about the recycling in Cold War so it's surprising to see that the Verruckt building structure was pulled right out of campaign. Is the recycling really worse than it's ever been or was it just less noticeable before?

Recycling models is fine how you use it and how it works with the map is the important part in some games they are lazy and it’s clearly copy and pasting everywhere but it’s fine if you do it the right way

Nacht and Verruckt come from the campaign and multiplayer. Der Reise comes from the multiplayer. Shino is said to come from the campaign but hard to say how. Basically there were almost no original content. Everything was recycled. And no one cared as these maps are amazing
