thing about the British Invasion was they made their own music and didn't go thru the music factory to make it so when you heard em live it was (mostly) the real deal. then again if you ever went to a Led Zepplin deal in the `70s you were lucky if it sounded near to the studio version, ol' Zep was into free form in those days

They’re not singing live! Lip syncing to the record!
@ProfesoraNut2 жыл бұрын
Actually I believe that the audio to this video is not the original audio. Could be the original audio is lost or damaged. Someone added the recorded track to this footage so we could all watch and listen and enjoy. Maybe they lip-synced when they performed here back in the day, maybe they didn't. Lip-syncing was HUGE and very common in that era, even though we all wish now they were completely genuine performances that we could see and listen to. But a lot of times when a group performed for a TV show or whatever, they weren't even really given a choice whether or not they wanted to lip sync. It just depended on a lot of variables.

@@ProfesoraNut In the 60's we called it "miming", not lip-syncing. Clearly this audio is the version from the actual hit single and not from the video of them miming to their record. The video is so poor that the audio would also be poor. It isn't. It's excellent.
